  1. Hello...I had my degree in Elementary Education from the Philippines and my license as well..I'm also here in California right now, along the Bay Area..I already got my EAD and waiting for my greencard soon..I've been attending SPED trainings/classes here in our city(for free..lol..a good opportunity as well) while we were on our AOS..but as far as I know, they are closing schools here and been cutting of teachers..somehow, for SPED teachers, still, you got a good chance to work on private schools..check CBEST,..you can't teacher here in California if ever you don't apply or get a teaching permit..as for me, my husband said it's ok if I will just stay at home, but I guess it's really different if we have our own professional growth..Teaching is my passion as well..it's really hard to get into the school districts here, so once I have my greencard in hand, I'm planning to get units in Early Childhood from a college and then maybe find a work soon..there's a greater chance for us to work in preschools or daycares, not so much in public schools...the preparation we had in the Philippines is different compared here..btw, we need to have our education evaluated..hopefully soon we can get a job...hehehe...God bless us all!!...

  2. she's legally married now so she should use your last name consistently, after she gets her visa she may need to have her passport amended to her married name too and this is what she can say the CFO people. she should wait til she gets the marriage cert

although if you check the CFO website it says they can request other docs from the applicant so if you can secure the doc better for her to bring it too. the employment cert though is weird. she should ask why they want to see it. :)

Hello..I would agree with the statement above..if ever you can get the documents they required, then it's fr the best..you can just scan and email them and then she can just print them..as for the emoplyemnt certificate, I was not asked of it(what is that for??..lol)..maybe you can send her your paystubs coz I also brought some paystubs of my husband(on his paystub it shows at that time that he was single on the marital status)..but really??, they shouldn't ask that at all coz you are married already to her already..btw, if ever, you've been divorced before, send her your final divorce documents as well coz they might ask it...btw, where did she attend her seminar?..SMEF-COW is very strict..I had my seminar from PRISM before...God bless on your journey...

  3. Not only are you going to go naked. They're also going to check your private parts. Teehhee :)

But, don't worry. They see that everyday. They're professionals. They might as well eat their lunch while doing it.

they will let you wear a patient's dress to cover yourself..lol....but they will ask you to open your legs and check you..and check your upper as well..it's part of the whole medical thing..hehehe..don't worry, it's part of their normal life as doctors..and if your a woman, I guess the doctor will also be a woman..hehehe..:-)

  4. hehehe dont worry sis resend that again if it returns dba sabi mo ni rush ka ng husband mo ayaw nya lang cguro ka ma behind kaya din cguro nagkamali ka nobodys perfect sis but make sure you wrote ur return address otherwise u might be in trouble.

hehehe..right..that's ok..we all learn...hehehe...just wait, it might be returned to your address and then you can send it again to the right address...btw, just take note of the time coz it's been 7 days since you sent it, they should have returned it already..did you use USPS or Fed-Ex??..you can track it I guess...God bless..

  5. Have you been calling them? I called every few days and mine did not arrive until 4 weeks had past. At one point when I called they said my SSN wasn't even put in for service request with USCIS yet.

Hello...she's right..try to call them and ask...as for us, my first SSN card arrived after 7 days..then recently whenever I applied for a change of name, it arrived after 8 days...so better call them I guess...God bless.. :D

  6. Hello..if you can, try to use XOOM,..that's the same problem my sister faced when she went home to philippines last year..she just let her husband send money transfer through XOOM from US to Phil...you send her money and she can receive it...or you send money and send it to the name of her mom as the receiver...it's easy and fast, after few minutes she can already pick up the money..God bless!!

  7. Good day!!..it's good to hear that some were approved already and others are on their way to approval..being the OP(hehehe)..wondering now, If I'm the only one here who is not finished yet with the AOS application.. :D:ot2: ..we had my biometrics 2 weeks ago..then, just today, we received our interview schedule for AOS..we didn't expect that it will be this coming 2nd week of March!!..now, have to gather all the documents!!..just, wondering what kind of proof of relationship we can bring to the interview since we just have been married for 4 months??..any help from those who had their interview will really help us!!..thanks a lot..Lord, please guide us!!..God bless us all!!! :D

  8. Status, she has none. She has overstayed her 194, and she did not AOS.

No, you can not sponsor her for AOS, but you can file for a CR1, which she will have to interview for back in the Phil.

Yes, she will have a 10 year ban, and will require a waiver.

Are you'll willing to have her be illegally for the rest of her life, so you'll must start somewhere. There is no way around this, good luck on your journey.

  9. If your stay is less than 6months you dont need a police report *except there was an arrest*

The malaysian authorities issue a cert if you have stayed for a year or more so I believe you will not be needing this. http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_4881.html?cid=3615#docs

hello...it's not that I would disagree on the post above, but I guess it depends in every consulate..as far as I know, one of the requirements for K1 visa interview @ the US Embassy in Manila is that you need to submit a police clearance if you have been outside the Philippines..try to visit & read in advance(on their website) the requirements/documents you needed prior to your interview..if I were you, you better start getting your Police clearance from the Malaysian Embassy in Manila as soon as possible...btw, you will also need to submit a NBI clearance aside from the Police Clearance from the country you've been too..God bless!!

  10. Hello!!..just got our Biometrics Appointment Letter last week after waiting for almost a month since we got our NOA1's for AOS & EAD...my schedule would be this coming 1st week of February...my husband & I are wondering if we can do Walk-in Biometrics since we got our letter already(after reading some post here who have done successful walk-ins for their Biometrics)...since the Local USCIS Office in Oakland,CA is near to the city where we live, we are planning to get it done ahead of time..Did anyone here make a successful Walk-In Biometrics in USCIS Oakland,CA or do they allow that???...any info is very much appreciated!!!..thanks again...God bless us all!!!

  11. It certainly has nothing to do with your husband's nationality.

We're in Arlington, VA, so the same area as you. The biometrics will be in Alexandria. They have been taking up to 2 months in recent months to get biometrics scheduled. Ours letter came in the mail 47 days after NOA. Good news is Alexandria allows walk-ins so as soon as you get the letter you can go in ahead of your scheduled day and get it taken care of.

Hello to all!!..we got a good news last week...we got our Biometrics Appointment Letter in the mailbox..it was dated Jan.10, 2010..my biometrics will be this 1st week of February...Thank you Lord!!..based on California Processing Times, we were able to get into the 1 month waiting period for receiving the biometrics letter after getting NOA1..we patiently waited for 28 days for our biometrics letter...haaaiizttt!!!...it's all worth waiting...btw, just wanna ask..what will I bring for Biometrics??..I'm planning to bring my passport, NOA1's and the Biometric Appointment letter..did I miss something??..btw, can I do walk-in or before my schedule??..thanks alot!!..God bless us all!!

  12. Well I would say he/her planned on using this other Gentleman for his, money to apply and get her a visa, a plane ticket to the U.S. I believe she ditched him at the airport by telling him she wasn't coming here or something like it. I doubt he just didn't show up, she made him not show up. Either he found her out or she said something to the effect she wasn't coming after he bought her the ticket. The whole story smells...

Anyway I am surprised he didn't like your idea of marrying her here and then applying for a CR1 not a bad idea. Seems like those 2 are made for each other. The first guy is going to get the same scrutiny I am after her shenanigans. One of the red flags is why if you can't afford to travel or can't travel, are you even on an international dating web site?

same here...I agree with you...they planned this one the whole time, got caught & now have to find any means...really made us laugh when he showed up after she called him..expecting a call??..lol...another example of a sheep in a sheep's clothing..God bless them!!

  13. as is evidenced through my subtle allusions to the 'arrangement' of the K-1 visa petitioner with a member her family, he is not a man in love. and, as i have said, none of this was planned. these are the parts where you should pay more attention...

oh..did I miss something??..we were just trying to explain things and give you some thoughts to ponder..if you ever felt that we might not be helping you, we shouldn't have waste our time responding.. :ot2: ohh btw, here's more since you said that we "should" pay attention...hmmm..I'll take risk to what I perceived that has happened..I'm not psychic but it's somehow possible...here's the scenario..you mentioned on your past post that you even gave her your consent to marry the man(as far as I can remember)..wow, are you that important to her??...hmm, it made me think, you know, the same thing scam girls do, marry their petitioner then find a way to divorce them, applied for her GC and get marry again with the person they really love..simple as using another person just to get what she wants..made me think that the original petitioner was able to find out regarding her intentions or maybe caught her...sorry to say this but it really make us wonder how come she will still keep your address/phone #..and oh btw, she's so lucky coz the man whom she will get marry also lives closer to where you live at least it was easy for you to get to the airport when she called..& you're having a great time dating now..btw, does she have a round trip ticket or you will be the one paying for her ticket back..if you really do care for her, you could have just tell her to go back to Phil as soon as she can..then she can notify the embassy regarding what her petitioner did to her(if she was telling the truth)..then maybe, you can start having a new relationship together..you can't use as evidence of meeting the times when you are together now since the USCIS knew that she should be there spending that time with the petitioner and get married...it's not too late if you want to start a "genuine relationship"..after maybe a few months, then after you can visit her in Phil, you can file for I-129F..by that time, the embassy will not see any fraud and you may be able to use your old emails, chatlogs..which shows that you met for quite long already then didn't work, then you get acquainted again..there's been alot of cases like this before & they were able to get approval again...

we're not here to judge..we all have been through with the same difficulties of these visa petitions..we are here to share & learn from others...it's really sad to know that people doesn't care at all whether they step into or hurt other people just to get what they want(KARMA knocks sometimes..better watch out..)..as to the OP, you seem to know the answers to your questions..why won't you just stop asking then..we really hope & pray you find solution to your problems..we are here to help and we are sorry if we ever made you feel bad..God bless you!!.. :)

P.S. - to the admin..when it comes to respect, I have respect for everyone as I do for myself..I don't have any intentions to insult the OP with regards to the statements I wrote above..I was just explaining because he tends to question each member's attentiveness regarding his post..hoping for your understanding..Thank you. -Maria :bonk::)

  14. The OP's username has also been "superlloyd," if anyone wishes to search his other posts. He's going to do what he's going to do, and without heeding us.

   ...for sure he will..I've read about his past topic regarding his question if he would be qualified for filing a fiance visa even if his ex-wife has a restraining order on him from 10 years ago when he pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated assault...I hope he was able to find answer for that problem...so far, it really makes me wonder about the whole scenario..I would agree to James & Cynthia's post..It's sad to know that she used the other guy and you knowing that one and still wanna pursue her, is gonna be another "sad story" in the making...we are sad to hear stories like those & people here in VJ just don't want you to be another victim or another OP of a new "sad story"...God bless!!

  15. hmmm...did you come in US through K1??does that mean that your previous husband(1st) was your original petitioner??..then you got your 2 yr. conditional greencard but then you got divorced with him before/within your 2 years of marriage..then you got married(a month fater you filed your I-751) & now have a new husband...that's a lil complicated one..I really thought that whenever you file your I-751, you need alot of documents to prove your true marriage with the original petitioner or else your marriage was just a fraud(except for VAWA cases) and you will not get approved with a 10 yr. greencard..btw,those were just my own understanding, if ever I said something wrong please do correct it..hehehe :D ......I really hope you can find good advices from members here who knows alot about your situation...God bless on your journey!!

  19. This is what I had in mind, but I'm worried if my earnings for 2010 will be enough to offset the other 2 years that I haven't filed or if I can qualify to meet the federal poverty guideline for 2010. I plan to meet with my dad's accountant tomorrow to figure a situation out of this. You are definitely right though, I really messed this one up and would and plan to fix the situation by any means. My worry is that I really hate for her to wait longer on behalf of my stupidity. So my question goes back to square one if applying for k-1 visa is still "doable" in my situation or would I have a better outcome if I applied for a spousal visa (CR-1 Visa) and used my parents' as co-sponsors.

good day!!..it's no on'es fault..it's how the situation is right now..if she loves you, she will understand & patiently wait for the two of you to be together..it's not easy..you just need to figure out what is the best thing for you to do regarding your situation..She can go find work in the Phil for the meantime while waiting..it would also help your relationship..God bless!!
