  1. its not necessary maybe for some reasons she needs to do some prophylaxis if ever she got cavities. what important is brush ur teeth when u go for medical exam at st. lukes

I definitely agree!!!..good & proper hygiene is very important...I had mine fixed few months before my med exam(coz it's really expensive when you have your teeth fixed in the US :bonk: )...they don't ask for dental records nor they will not let you pass your medical exam if you have cavities....they will just ask if you have complete set or false teeth(how many..) :D ....lol...stay healthy before your med exam and EAT before you go to St.Lukes!!...be blessed!!

  2. Good day...try to check the CFO website...what I know is that they only ask for the original&photocopy of her passport and visa, 1 2x2 photo, original&photocopy of immigrant data summary, payment of 400 pesos and the completed emigrant date form(she will fill it up there)...God bless...

  3. So if it says that its a Notice of action and states that they recieved your payment..It's the NOA1....hmmm..you can't get any better copy of your fiancee's birth certificate..if i guess correctly, the one you have is already her NSO Birth certificate(is it a yellow paper??)....coz on my birth certificate, they also state there that it's the best copy they have..lol..somehow the fonts are also not clear..as long as they can still read that one that would be fine..just prepare that NSO copy just in case they would send you a RFE letter...she might have just forgotten to write her country of birth in her G325A..don't worry as long as they have your petition and they are adjucating that one...they will just ask for more evidences if you miss some things...your parents live at Hawaiian Central, Silay City..yep, it's quite far from the city but it's a nice place..surrounded by sugra cane fields..i live within the city proper...just have faith..and pray that they will touch your petition and you will get your NOA2 soon...God bless!!

  4. Hello Pookaphilus,

I dont know what the letter looks like, it was sent to my mom in Dallas. So dont know if USCIS is asking me for something or not, or just informing me that they dont know the country of birth, I didnt even think that they could be talking about me, I assumed it was my fiancee. You know my mom and relatives are from Silay. I did not fill out the documents, I had them prepared by someone one else. I guess I have to wait til Monday to find out what USCIS needs when I call them.

    Thanks,

    Rob

lol..I'm living in Silay City...that's good to hear...hmmm..if your mom can scan and send you the letter, it would be helpful coz at least you would know what it is..I'll assume that you sent your I-129F package to the USCIS, so if it's an RFE(Request for Evidences), then just prepare your fiancee's birth certificate to prove her country of birth..you two wasn't able to check the forms before you submit them...but somehow, if it's a RFE, you need to respond to the letter as soon as possible or else they will not tackle your petition...btw, try to make your visa timeline here so that we know how we can help you...God bless on your journey!! :)

  5. Hello all,

I'm in the military currently deployed to Afghanistan. I'm trying get my fiancee from the Philippines on a K1 Visa. My mother just recently receipt our first letter from USCIC stating that the "Country of Birth Unknown" for my fiancee Jasmin. Has anyone encountered this problem? I did reveiw her birth certificate and it is difficult to read but this is the best copy she has and received it from the Census record office. The put a statement on the reverse but I noticed that they only put the City in which she was born and did not include the country. With the front hard to read and the reverse missing the name of the country I'm wondering if this is the problem. Well it's Sunday here and Saturday in the US so I have to wait a couple days before I can call USCIS.

Just wondering if anyone has encountered this situation or knows of this kind of situations. Anyone please feel free to advise.

    Thank you,

    Robert

Good day!!...is that a RFE or NOA1??..since you metioned 1st receipt, I assumed it's the NOA1...just wondering, I checked our NOA1 but we don't have anything written like that one..the NOA1 we have only has the petition and beneficiary's names, address of the petitioner, notice date and date received by USCIS with the receipt #(you can track your case at the USCIS website with the receipt number)....hmmm, who filled up the forms, you or her?? were you able to double check the G-325A forms before you send them to the USCIS?..coz i checked the photocopy of the G-325 forms that we sent to USCIS..on your fiancee's G-325A biographic form, there's a space there for "City and Country of Birth"(I wrote mine.. Bacolod City, Philippines)..she might have just place the City of birth and forgot to write the country of birth..coz whenever you send the I-129F package it's only your birth certificate(US citizen) which you will send and not of your Filipina's birth certificate..the only info they have from your fiancee were the ones she filled up on her G-325A forms...don't worry, just prepare your fiancee's birth certificate(NSO copy) if ever they would ask RFE..they will tell you what to submit to them and what to do...and to make sure, just call USCIS...hope we were able to help...God bless!!:thumbs:

  6. Good day!!..I attended the CFO seminar yesterday and they gave me like a small booklet where you will fill up your departure date.flight number, info, place where you will stay at the US..as far as what I have remembered, they said we will fill that one(they gave us two copies)..then we will present it to the immigration office at the airport before we leave...I'm sorry, I'm not sure about this..but this is what i have understood with what they said...just let her fill them up and have it with her on her hand carry whenever she is at the airport..they might ask her about it..If ever I'm giving wrong info, anyone can correct me..thanks in advance..God bless on her flight!!..

ok..I checked the small booklet I have...and it is a "departure card"..she will fill it up(there are guidelines at the back)..she will present that one at the immigration I guess at the airport before she leaves...hope I was able to help..God bless!

  7. My fiance got some forms after her counseling session that said to immigrate she needs to have an exit clearance from her government employer saying she is has filed her leave/resignation. Does this sound familiar? Do you need this to leave philippines or to enter the US? HELP IS APPRECIATED! her flight is in 9 hours and i am worried

I also got wondered earlier..coz they also wrote on my Xray cd CR(1)...I'm a K1 visa applicant..was it right??...thanks in advance..be blessed!!

  9. Ok.. thanks in advance. Please please tell me there is a good answer.

I'm not sure what to do. My girlfriend is a citizen of El Salvador has been in the US on a 2 year visa learning English at University and also as a nanny part of a program. Her visa is up and she is supposed to leave in mid December.

We have been together for about 6 months and there is no doubt in my mind that she is the one. I knew that the first minute I met her. Never have either of us had this type of connection. We drive every weekend to see one another and spend every night on the phone.

Since she is traditional we had talked about my traveling to El Salvador to meet her parents and ask for her hand in marriage. However, the more I read the more concerned I become.

Can we marry in the USA and then petition for a green card? We don't want to be separated.. we're dearly in love and want to start our lives together. I know it might sound crazy, but we've wanted to elope from the day we met. Neither of us have a substantial amount of money in this economy so we just feel like we need each other. I've dated and womanized so many different women that I never believed it, but I've met the one.. and when you know.. you just know.

Please provide advice and options. Also both of us have close to elderly parents. Even though I'm 10 years older than my girlfriend my Dad is 65 and her Dad is 80. So, there is some concern about being able travel to meet and visit family if we marry her and she is stuck during green card process. We are after all wanting to build a family.

    JFG

Good day..First of all..I'm a K1 visa filer..hmm..as what i have read..if ever, you will marrye her since she is there, after your marriage, you might be able to file for CR1/IR1 visa for her(coz you two are married)..but she will still need to come back to her home country after your marriage during the whole process...you can read this link..

    http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/IR1_and_CR1_Immigrant_Visas

hope we were able to help..if the infos I posted are wrong, please do feel free to correct them...God bless!!..:D:D

  10. Thank you so much for all the reply's. Actually I just now scheduled the interview appointment for my fiancee!!! What is the requirements for a K-1 visa applicant? My fiancee does not have any vaccinations yet. can she get the vaccinations after she passes her interview?

check out the requirements and procedures for a K1 visa applicant @ the US embassy site...about the emdical, she will undergo a physical examination and check ups(eye test, vital signs,blood..etc...)..she will just follow the flowchart of St.Lukes during her medical exam days(almost 2 days to complete)...as what I know from people here, if you passed the 1st day, you will asked to come back on the 2nd day for the vaccination(if she doesn't have any vaccination, she will say she doesn't have any..it's ok, coz there will be an immunization interview)..during my immunization interview, the doctor told me that I can choose to be vaccinated @ St. Lukes or in the US once I'm there..me, my fiance and what most of the people here in VJ chose to be vaccinated with some required vaccines(they will just give me 2 shots tomorrow for Tetanus and MMR) here @ St.lukes..the vaccines that will be given to her is part of the payment she will pay @ St. Lukes,..since K1 visa is a non-immigrant visa, if she doesn't want to be vaccinated here in Phil, it's fine if she want to have it there in the US but you will pay another for her vaccination there..if you have questions, browse over the US Embassi Manila website,..you will learn alot there...God bless!!:D

  11. i've been able to set an interview schedule even though i dont have letter from the embassy..btw jsonchris how long before the manila embassy sent you a letter that you are allowed to sched for an interview?recieve nvc letter july 31 then i call the embassy aug 5 to schedule an interview...my interview date is sept 1,..im going to have my medical tomorrow..they said that you will have you medical 1-2 weeks before interview..i guess you should set first an interview date before having a medical..although medicalis valid for 6month i guess..

@pookaphilus i thought they will need 2x2 picture for medical..and not passport size

    ...

yep..they need 3 pcs. of Passport photos(US visa standard)..sis, your 2x2 photo is a US standard size Visa photo..don't forget to write your name at the back..just follow instructions tomorrow for your medical..eat before you go there( I starved earlier for almost 6 hours..hehe)..you are not allowed to eat inside..God bless!!

  12. Hello. I got a letter from the Embassy in Manila stating that my fiancee's case is now eligible to be scheduled for a visa interview and I have the MNL case number. My fiancee did not yet schedule a interview appointment. Can she have the Medical exam at St. Lukes before she schedules a embassy interview? Also I read the medical exam at St. Lukes is "first come first served basis" What time should she arrive at St. Lukes? Thank you so much everyone :)

Good day..I don't know anything about having medical without any interview schedule yet..but a K1 applicant, whom I met earlier in St.Lukes, was able to have her medical even if she doesn't have an interview schedule(just try to call St.Lukes, they might allow)..and somehow, you(US citizen petitioner) can schedule the interview for her..you can call the US embassy Manila and set an appointment for her interview...as for the medical, i just had my 1st day, she needs to come as early as possible if she wants to finish early..I arrived earlier aroun 5:30am(got #56,,thank you Lord!!)..i finished my 1st say around 1:30pm(very very hungry..hehehe)...just tell her to prepare her passport, 3 passport photos, letter with Manila case# and payment(since you still don't have an interview appointment confirmation letter)...btw, why won't you schedule her interview first at least you can have her take her medical 1-2 weeks before her interview date...hope I was able to help..God bless!!

  13. 3pcs of 2x2 photos with a white background. I saw someone saying that you now need 4pcs. Bring extra just in case! You can take it in Cebu. It doesn't matter as long you bring 2x2 photos with a white background.

Good luck and have a safe flight! good.gif

:thumbs::thumbs: ....don't forget to write your name at the back...I will be having my Med exam this Aug.18-19..I'm from Bacolod..I will have my flight to Manila tomorrow..God bless us all!!..

  14. Good day!!..are you applying for a K1 visa too??..if ever you were, I just wonder how come you sent her birth certificate and copy of passport??...i thought it's only the passport and birth certificate of the US citizen which will be submitted along with the I-129F...anyways, just pray that you won't get an RFE...if you have submitted all the required documents, then no worries..everything will be alright!!..have a blessed day!!

  15. Good day!!..we also didn't know how we can save and print skype call logs..what we do was since we you skype eversince, we just took interval dates like 5 days per month then copy and pasted it on MSWord then printed it!!...as for you, you can copy, paste&print everything since you just had it for quite sometime..just make sure to black out those words/phrases that you don't want to be read by the consulate officer..hehehe...have a good day!! God bless!! :D

  16. I am so sorry this is happening to you. I really do not know what you should do regarding immigration laws, as far as this situation is concerned. All I can think of is, try and find a women's shelter that can get you away from him and safe for the time being.

I am hoping someone will come along and answer this with more helpful information for you.

    Take care.

Good day!!..Sorry to hear about that..I do agree with Jay-KAy..try to find a women's shelter(you can ask your friends to do that for you so that he won't be able to know..)..I guess, the immigration have nothing against you..if he will report you to the immigration, then let it be..he is not fulfilling what he has said on his I-134 when he petitioned you...you have your right as well..after all, you told him that you want to go back to your country..try to find help...stay safe and keep praying!!...

  17. You may want to get visa/passport photos for yourself too, while you are there. Much cheaper than in US, by far. About $1.

For me, I had my fiancee date the documents as she signed them. That way you have another proof of your actual time there. Post-dating them seems shady to me.

Good day..I agree with John..I dated my G325 after I signed them whenever my fiance was here in Phil...my fiance had me filled up 2 copies just in case..but I guess they only need one from each of you(am i right?..hehe)...they might notice your handwriting so just let her sign and date it..either so, you said you will file as soon as you return...Take lots of pics of you and with her family...God bless on the filing!!..:thumbs:

  18. We are preparing to file our application later this month. I have looked at a couple of different services both locally and online and am just wondering is it worth it to go with a service. They promise to make it happen as quick as possible by formatting your application and making sure there are no 'red flags' that might lead to a rejection or kickback of your application. I'm just wondering whether people have found that these services are worth the cost or if most people filing on their own have no problems.

Good day...if you don't have any legal problems with everything regarding your petition, why not just do it yourself..you and your wife can help each other to do with the process!!...:thumbs: at least you will not have any tension and no blaming at the end!!..VJ members are willing to help along the way!!..God bless on your filing!!.. :D

  19. Hi.. wondered that myself too, a little confusing but as long as you have all the necessary documents, you will be good. I don't know the overlying reason but i think they just want confirmation. As for my interview last year, the Consul took the Affidavit of Support documents and looked at my proof of engagement documents. The interview went smooth and I hope yours will be too!

Good Luck and God Bless!! :)

Good day!!..It's good you have the original copies of the ones he sent(ex.original snail mail, receipts..etc..if ever he just sent scanned copies/photocpies of those when he filed I-129F)...the ones you must bring are the "proof of ongoing relationship"..specially after he visit you, does he still call you or do you both still communicate(hehehe..ofcourse YES..)...and don't ever forget the paystubs..sis Toni adviced us to have the recent paystubs your fiance have...guess, sometimes it is better to have more than enough..they might really ask a lot..no one knows, every case is different from the other...God bless on our upcoming interviews!!..let's just be positive and really pray we will get approved!! ..God be with us!!..be blessed everyone!! :D

  20. I did include some snail mail; mostly b-day card, valentines, christmas etc. Not sure if it really helped or not but I felt it did help support an "on-going" relationship the embassy wants us to prove in the petitions. My wife took these to her interview (july '09) and the officer did quickly look a them. Not sure of the weight they played in his decision, but my fiancee (now wife!) was approved with little delay.

    Best wishes on your journey

philippines is one of the highly fraud countries..my fiance just sent(in I-129F) scanned envelopes of the snail mails we have..since he coulnd't get any phone bills, he is using prepaid cards to call me, he just sent them billing statement from the calling cards he brought..scanned and photocopies will do for the -129F...just keep the original ones whenever they might ask for RFE..btw, your fiancee will need those original ones prior to her interview at US embassy Manila9where she can have lots of evidences she wants to bring with her..hehe) :D ...you can also just add the recent ones you have whenever she will have her interview(part of the proof of ongoing relationship you have)...God bless!!..have a good day!! :D

  21. Thanks for the info. It'll take a couple weeks to get a new pic from her so I guess the best thing to do si send it off like it is and at the same time have my fiance send me a new one just in case we do get a RFE, then we'll be more prepared.

Good day..we also had the same problem before...my fiance just found out that the passport photo i gave him was a Philippine size passport photo.. :bonk: what we did (so that I don't need to send him through mail)..I just took another photo and told the photographer to have it US Passport size(or just tell them for US Visa, they know already)..then I ask the photo store if they can save it in a cd(so that I have a copy, which they were able to do)..I sent the photo as a file to my fiance via email attachment..then he was the one who had it printed/developed there in US on a US passport size...God is always good..we didn't get an RFE...hehehe..hope we were able to help you..Have a good day!!..God bless..

  22. Our K-1 Fiancee Visa was approved on August 5th, 2010. We are still waiting for the official letter to arrive in the mail.

I am new to this and I am wondering how you know when the NVC has received your petition from the USCIS?

How do you know when the NVC sends it to the Embassy?

good day...usually, the embassy will send your fiance(UScitizen) a letter, with your Manila case#, informing that they forwarded your petition to the embassy in Manila)...as soon as you got that letter(or you can call the NVC and ask for your Manila case#),give a week(coz they will still check your petition i guess upon receiving it..), call the embassy and schedule for her interview appointment,

( at the moment, I guess they have available dates for Sept.)..whenever you call the embassy for scheduling interview,if they ask if your fiancee(filipina) has received a letter from the embassy, just say YES....God bless!!.. :D:D
