    is it ok not to apply for EAD if we are going to apply AOS because my friend says usually when you receive your EAD after 3 months, then next month you will receive your green card and green card is one of the requirements to get a job in USA so that means you dont need to spend $380 for EAD. Is that correct?

      It is okay but rememebe you still have to pay the 1070 for aos might as well include the ead has it comes with the packet

    mikejanet I passed my Medical today. Next week will be my interview. What is the appropriate attire for the interview? Can I wear my usual pants, blouse and rubber shoes? Pls advice. Thanks

    my fiancé sent me the MNL case number and checked it online that my papers already in embassy since june 21 but as of today, I did not receive yet the hard copy of the visa instructions from US embassy of Manila waaaaaaa

      you didn't need to wait for the instructions. it's all accessible online. go pay your visa fee and sched your interview. you're just wasting time waiting for something that will not come.

    if my fiance visa is on the process..is it ok to get married in the philippines? me and my fiance will meet for the fourth time, twice in UAE and twice will be in the philippines..if we want to get married in the philippines, are we going to face problem in our fiance visa application?is now in its 7th month..please advice. thank you

      If you are getting married in the Philippines while you are waiting for your K1, then that forfeits the whole process. If you go ahead and get married, then you will have to file for an IR-1/CR-1 visa. You can't go on a K1 visa to the US if you are already married.

    my visa will be expired on january 29, 2014...if my visa will be approved soon and will be travel to USA on June 2013, do i need to renew my passport? is there a requirement that the passport should be less than 6 months when i travel outside philippines? please advice. thank you.

      upon travelling, your visa must be valid for at least 6 months!!

    We received RFE today after more than seventh month from NOA1 waaaaaaa. What specific evidence they are looking for? My fiancé did not receive the mail yet. We just received the email but there is no specific instructions.

      i hope so. i did not resign yet from my work here in UAE and i will resign and hopefully go back to phils for interview and medical when my visa is finally approved by USCIS..hope it will be soon :-)

    I would like to know what form my fiancé will submit regarding affidavit of support and what form my grandfather will submit as co-sponsor affidavit of support for my fiancé visa application? Is it I-134 or I-864? Please help. Thanks.

    My fiancé and I were introduced by my high school friend from USA last August 2008. We met twice in UAE on 2008 and 2010. We will meet for the third time in the Philippines this September 2012 for my Phils vacation. We just filed our K1 visa last August 31, 2012 to Lewisville Lockbox as promised by my babe. Finally! We have problem financially that is why it took us a long time to process.

      When in 2010 did you last meet? If it was after Sept 2010 then I think, you'll be good but if any earlier, you might see some issues. I heard they're pretty strict with the 2 year meeting prior to I-129F application. You might want to read into that :) anyways, good luck! check this out this thread

    My worry is that if I will get pregnant during our third meeting in Philippines and I am planning back to UAE to continue my working visa and we process our K1 in USEM in Manila, Philippines. I don’t know how much time this visa will take and hope it will not take too long so I can be with my babe :-)

      hi ... if u are going back to UAE, why process in Mla? ... its so much easier process at UAE & very simple medical comparing to what am reading at PH forum. Anyway, what ever suits u but this is base on our experience and not to mention the hassle u go through by flying back to PH/UAE should it requires your presence.

      ohh well...

      because if i will get pregnant, it is not allowed in UAE without marriage certificate..but if i can file the paper in the philippines, i can give birth to my child in phils and i can terminate my contract here in uae..hope my decisions are ok :-)

      it depends, it can be 3 months up to 6 months like the other members here. no specific processing time to specific country

    How much are the total expenses(application fee, vaccination, visa processing, airticket etc.) for K1visa including airfare going to USA?

      My new wife flew from Bahrain to Atlanta. Buy air ticket at least a week out... about $1200... if you wait til the day before, the ticket is like $1850. The medical cost us about $250 for another physical and vaccinations. Visa is $455 for the I-129F and $1010 for the 465. Let us know how else we can help. We did all the paperwork ourselves.

      i think what he was trying to say was the adjustment of status/i-485 costs $1,010 but you only need that after getting married already :) good luck!
