  1. One step at a time is the key because this whole process is overwhelming.

My fiance visited me twice so that it will "boost" our petition. And we waited for a year for his second trip because of finances. We both have jobs to keep us sane and busy. If your fiancee can work at other industries it would help her too. She can try the call center industry.

  2. Don't fall prey to their "act of kindness".

I felt ashamed when people try to scam and beg for money when my fiance visited me. My fiance couldn't enjoy Boracay because people would just beg for money or insist on going on some boat ride or something... I hate filipino mentality about white people

  3. hi I am doing something similar with mine i rent out two rooms in a house that I rent for more than the total cost of the house to rent. I also filed for an extension on my taxes. I dont know what to tell u but I am interested in any answers u may receive because this will help me too. Good luck on ur visa man!

  4. Very well said... My fiance told me the same and to keep busy instead of waiting and whining. It's better if we're motivated to be productive while waiting instead of counting the months. Keep busy at work, go out with friends, or family and enjoy the time. I guess it's all about balance and I admit the frustration would outweigh it.

  5. Hi all! Thank you for taking time to read my post.

We filed i-129F last March 24th, 2011 via USPS. My fiance didn't have any tracking number from USPS. It's been roughly two weeks since then. We're quite nervous already because I thought this part usually is the easiest part  We were hoping we'd receive NOA1 by now...

Are there other couples experiencing our dilemma who filed last March?

  6. They do not have time to be looking at all that stuff and to be honest as said before you do not have to show all this now 129f is that you have met in the last 2 years and your letter of intent to marry.

Oh believe me, you dont really need to submit chat logs, emails and stuff with the i-129F, becos we didnt really submit those, just few photos together and we got the noa2.

Ya, I guess it makes sense... We'll just exclude the 700-page yahoo chat logs and save it for the interview... hopefully..

Thanks for all the responses!

  7. It is never, ever necessary to have an 800 page petition. Ever.

I understand that now. But we were following VJ Guidelines:

"There is no minimum, but the more you can provide the less likely you are that you will receive an RFE. Additionally, please note that providing proof of your ongoing and genuine relationship in this package may benefit you by allowing the consulate to have access to this information prior to them formally contacting the non US Citizen fiance. Many high risk consulates approach cases with a skeptical eye and providing this information early on in the original I-129F package will help them in their preliminary review of your case."

  8. It is not necessary to submit Proof of Ongoing Relationship with the I-129F petition. All that is required is to submit proof of having met in person (been together physically) within the last two years: Photocopies of entry stamps in a Passport, boarding passes, hotel receipts, etc. may satisfy this requirement.

Oh ok... Darn! we've been delayed in submitting the petition coz we had to backtrack all chat logs, emails and stuff.. My fiance had printed 800 pages of them that he'd include in the packet.

Yes, I'm the beneficiary and we never sent postcards or holiday cards for the past 2 years... We're gonna do that this year.

  9. My fiance and I are wondering if we really need to submit snail mail letters together with I-129F petition. We have chats on a daily basis on yahoo messenger and skype. Is this good enough for evidence?

Based on VJ K-1 Visa Guide, we need to submit 2 to 4 types of evidence? Please help us clear out our confusion... THanks a bunch! Sorry I keep posting questions, hopefully when we're done with this we can share answers and experiences..

    Greg and Michelle

  10. FYI: The US Embassy in the Philippines don't accept sponsors for the K-1 petition. If I had known this, I we would have properly married and filed a K-3.

Omg!My fiance is about to file for k1-visa petition. If NOA2 might be approved, he might have a co-sponsor. Would it be slimmer chance for me to get a visa?

  11. Thank you for all the answers and tips. I wish I posted this question before we started the petition and started the logs first coz all the forms are filled out and we are stuck with finishing the chat logs. I'm definitely going to do the print screens..

You can also do print screen by pressing Print Screen on your keyboard and open MSPaint or Word file and paste it there.
