  1. This is so frustrating.

On May 22, 2012, we received this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

We may have different backgrounds but we all share one thing on this immigration stuff -- wait wait wait. The wait is frustrating enough but I decided not to dwell on it everyday and enjoy other stuff instead. You're on first month of waiting for EAD I didn't hear anything til my 2nd month.

  2. Tadah!!!

    Card/ Document Production (EAD)

On June 29, 2012, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I knew I had to expect the update would be within this week... Slowly but surely there would be EAD card productions for all May filers.... Just follow through everybody's timelines

Slowly but surely End of April to 1st week of May are getting EAD updates now... Hang on tight yours is around the corner :)

  4. I've been playing with my MSC case numbers since there's nothing else to check on the website.

I was able to trace how many applications there are (well not the total exact number) and it is astounding no wonder they may be backlogged as what I heard. My case number is MSC1920-660XXX meaning my application is the 660,xxxth one I changed the numbers on the last six digits and I found other applications either ahead or after mine. It's pretty interesting and crazy number of applications too... So hang on tight everybody

  5. Hey May filers!

I'm so excited to share the news with you: I just got an email saying that on June 10, 2012 they sent us an appointment notice for an interview. It is scheduled for July 12, 2012. So now I will be waiting impatiently for that date and getting ready for the interview. Yet, no updates on EAD and AP...

    Good luck to everyone!

Congratulations! I bet you'll get your GC shortly after your interview. Keep us updated.

  6. Congratulations! Did they transfer your case before your biometrics appointment?

Yes. Got a "touch" on my case on June 1 saying it was transferred to another office, biometrics was on June 4 then on June 6 Transfer notice was in the mail indicating it is transferred to CSC.

That just means a case may be processed either before or after the biometrics appointment. An early appointment doesn't really guarantee faster processing otherwise everyone wouldn't be following the schedule

  7. I'm not expecting one til after my biometrics because There won't be an update/"touch" on the case until after biometrics. That's when USCIS starts to process the rest of the applications

Ok I take back what I said because I received update on my I-485 today and my Biometrics schedule is next Monday.

    "Initial Review

On June 1, 2012, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS..."

yahooo! I think there wouldn't be an interview if case is transferred but it'll talk longer to produce the card

  8. We just had our biometrics appointment today at 3:00pm at the Portland, Oregon office. It was extremely fast, in fact, I only saw one other couple in the entire building! First we went through security and there were three very friendly guards (who all seemed to secretly want to be comedians). We were directed to the double doors on the left and filled out a short questionnaire asking things like hair and eye color, race, and previous names used. Then my husband was called over and had his fingerprints, photo and signature done. All in less than 15 minutes! Everyone was very friendly, the building was new and clean, and I don't think I've ever had better customer service anywhere. Seriously.

Good luck to everyone else. I'm crossing my fingers for all of you! :)

Good to hear about your experience! This is the part I'm excited about because I know it's a breeze. I'm gonna do mine in the morning instead of following the 3pm schedule. Gotta get it out of the way so we can see the museum all day... so excited!
