Received following notice today on my online account.

I am a GC holder from last 10 years and I did not feel the need to go through the process of citizenship. However, ground realities changed here in the US and my concerns led me to apply for citizenship. I filed online on 5/7/2018. Got my biometrics done on 5/30/2018.
I had my interview this morning (1/4/2019). During the course of my interview I found out that I was being interviewed by the Supervisor who was filling in for one of his staff. We were talking more like friends than anything else. He did complete all his requirements while we discussed everything under the sun other than politics. This interview/ meeting lasted for over 65 minutes.
I got back home and checked my status online, here is what I saw :-
January 4, 2019
You attended your interview
You do not need to do anything at this time
We will let you know if we need anything else from you as we continue to review your application.
---------------------------
January 4, 2019
We approved your application
Your final step to becoming a citizen is to attend your naturalization ceremony
We will mail you a letter when we schedule your naturalization ceremony.

So, guys my journey is almost over and I want to wish everyone my best. Before I close this post, I would like to share that I did ask him that in the past this process was not taking more than 3 months now on an average it is over a year. Are you guys following orders to delay the process or staff have been pulled out to perform other duties? He shared that couple of years back a decision was made to digitize the entire process and the new system after it got implemented was full of glitches which totally derailed the timeline. Once it was realized that the system may take much longer to get rolling as it should, we went back to older manual system as we had huge backlog.
Now the system is stable and is working as it should be (my writing and civic test was done on the tablet.) And they are rapidly making progress. They have some field office where situation is current.
Off and on I was reading the forum here to get a sense of what was going on. This is the only post I have created on this topic essentially to inform you guys patience is virtue and things will happen when they have to happen.
My best to all.
P.S. Please don’t ask me my field office.

Usually, CPT is available for STEM courses and your school has to recommend via I-20 based of which department will issue EAD which will enable you to work in the US.

I want to add following to what others have mentioned.
Student visa depends on many factors, the main being availability and proof of funds (strong documentary evidence, liquid cash in form of CDs/bank deposit etc) and your ability to convenience the office that you will get back to your home country.
School ranking is a factor only if school has very low ranking.

I have been a full time student in USA till 2010
My student visa was valid till 2012 but I left USA because I was getting married and wanted to develop a business in home country.
in 2011 I tried applying for tourist visa but got it rejected after which I went to UK to complete a Master degree in Mobile technology as I wanted to add that as 1 of the department to my business.
I have now returned to home country and have business running fine but now I see the need of doing MBA and have an admission from my University in which I did masters before in 2010.
Business is software consulting firm with clients across UK, Europe and Australia with a team of 30-40 people.
Though I want to increase the business at the same time I have made it automatic without my need to spend too much time.
I am thinking of either doing a MBA on F1 visa or applying for a business visa in USA
F1 visa complications I think
Applied only to 1 university...I am not interested in doing studies from any other university because I loved the university in the initial masters and its a reputed university
2nd is I have not given GMAT though I have given GRE 5 years before based on which I got the admission.
3rd is why so many masters.
So I do see some complications in Student visa.
For business visa
I am not sure if the company of strength 40 is eligible to apply for that. I have last year IT return as well as tax receipt for company and the professional tax receipt for all the employees for last 1 year and I am company director from last 2 years for this company
SO I need suggestion from all the professionals here which option I should go for.
Thanks
Business visa (B1) should not be a issue, you are married and have legit business. Since you are in IT/software related business I am sure you have clients in the US. Arrange meeting and get confirmations from them. I think you are good to go.

. Here are answers to your questions:-
1)Can I go for a f1 US Visa Interview without my Degree Certificate and carrying all other documents except my degree certificate or do I need to wait until I get my Degree Certificate and then go ahead and attend my visa Interview.
As long as school in the US has issued a valid 1-20 and provided SEVIS receipt you are eligible to apply for F-1 visa.2)How high are the chances of rejection based on non producing of my Degree certificate
You will not be rejected for non availability of degree certificates. Most schools in India issue a provisional degree certificate, however the above mentioned documents are what will determine your eligibility for applying for F-1
Having said that visa depends on many factors, the main being availability and proof of funds (strong documentary evidence) and your ability to convenience the office that you will get back to your home country.
Hope this helps.

Exactly - file I-130 wait for visa. Categories are either F-1 or F-2B. Check out visa bulletin (http://travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html) for current priority dates.
As per Visa Bulletin of March 2013
F1 (if I file as USC) 15 FEB 06
F2B (if I file as LPR) 01 MAR 05
Just looking at the dates it seems file as USC should be faster but not sure if this is correct assessment.

Is she over 18 or over 21
She is over 21, sorry for the typo, will correct the same.
Thanks

Hi
Looking for some generic advise/help.
I am a LPR, eligible to file for USC. I am looking to get my over 18 year old, unmarried daughter to US. Since I am quite out touch as to how the system works. I would appreciate if knowledgeable members can show me the way forward.
Couple of years back, I checked based on the cut of, filing as LPR would have got her earlier than filing as USC.
I need help in understanding the process, I think one will need to file I-130 and wait for visa number to be available.
Thanks in advance for help.

This is a compelling story of love, knowledge & determination. You went undeterred with conviction and with law on your side. Unfortunately, the Lawyer only looked this case with a prism of probability and not the law point which made you a winner.
I admire you miss, great job.

Hey guys, you might find this reading somewhat interesting.
http://www.dhs.gov/xlibrary/assets/privacy/privacy_pia_cis_claims3.pdf
Thanks boilermaker for this useful PDF. I hope based on this info the filers waiting for movement/approval will understand that adjudication of application by IO is the last step towards decision. Most of the delay comes from half a dozen checks triggered after biometrics which IMO is usually the cause of delay. Not to mention the human apathy to some extent and lack of resources/staff could be also be contributory factor.
CSC seems to be marred with shortage of resources/staff which is likely the cause of delay IMO.

Congrats Notnew! July VSC filers are on a roll!
Thanks, best of luck to all
-
Congratulations notnew! Did you have any touch in your application online before the approval? I'm worried because there was not any touch in my application and up to now it says it's not in their system yet.
Thanks, no touch after one a touch few hours of bio and then next day.

Received legendary email conveying approval and card production ordered this morning at 7.02am. It seems July filers are on a way to make history.
Thanks and best wishes to all.

That's great notnew! Hopefully this means someone is working on your case and you'll get some good news soon.
The only good news can be approval which I think is little too premature. REF or Interview no no no no no
