  1. I believe at POE the address is filled out on a SSA card or similar paperwork. Likewise the green card info will be initiated. Have your spouse to write neatly with your mailing address and ask for them to make a copy of both forms. My wife's green card was mailed to the wrong address twice, post office left it the second time and it was taken from the mail box. Had to pay another large amount to get her green card reissued and new biometrics. SScard came in three weeks from POE so they had a typo on the green card info. Best of luck!

  2. I believe at her physical she'll have a chest xray. If it is abnormal she will then have a sputum test consisting of three days of gathered sputum, followed by a wait time to see if bacteria grow in the samples. If negative she'll be ok'd to travel, otherwise she'll have to undergo treatment for 6-12 months. Best of luck.

  3. Wow! They didn't discover the problem for four months? I am glad that we followed up on our paperwork the next day after we filed it at the local office and they told us there had been a mistake on our paperwork as well. We had to go locate our ninong and ninang that afternoon to get them to witness our new marriage certificate. :D

I could only stay 14 days that trip. 4 for paperwork, and 10 to wait for the posting time. We were to marry the last day I was in the Philippines but things happen for a reason. We had a proper wedding and honeymoon on the wedding day 4 months after the license had been granted. The judge said the license was wrong from the courthouse........turns out it wasn't.

  4. Don't be disheartened. You should travel on to the Philippines and see what you can get done in person. If you are not able to get married this trip it won't be the end of the world. If you get there and are able to get the NSO to set things straight fast enough you may be able to return to the US and go back a month or so later for the wedding. It will be more expensive that way, but no one ever claimed marrying someone overseas would be light on the wallet (outside the wedding itself which is SOOO much cheaper than in the US).

Unfortuneatly I only get two weeks vacation in a year, no carryovers. his year was used visiting her. Ti do as you say would mean to wait another year before we could see each other or attempt marriage. Travel time alone is 4 days for Philippines combined both ways, so I cannot break it down into two trips and as per LCR I need a month to just meet marriage requirements, not counting

    NSO issue.

If you can get the marriage license it should be enough to get started. Our first attempt to get a civil marriage was thwarted by a judge who made a mistake on the paperwork and I had to fly back 4 months later because I couldn't stay any longer in Manila. The license is good for 6 months so it isn't impossible. Best wishes and remember, love will prevail.

  5. I think for the photos, you'll need to request them back if you want to keep them otherwise, pictures are fine. We just printed up 5 pages of 4 pictures to a page of different times in out relationship and sent them in with explanations of who , when, where, etc.

As for the assembly, I used a few paperclips but used one of the big paper clamps to keep the entire package together. May want to put your social or at least name on the upper corner of your papers for identification purposes. We wrote in pencil so that it could be erased but yet identified if it fell on the floor accidentally. Best of luck and try not to stress too much, it'll be a few months!

  6. We used St. Raphael and they are as of our use, reliable and honest. Just ask for all taxes and "out the door " price so there are no surprises. This is, in my opinion, the only way to fly one way.

  7. Can you share me the possible questions for IR-1/CR-1 SPOUSE VISA here in US Embassy Philippines? And what do I have to bring on the interview date? (Ex. Pictures, important docs etc.)

Please give me tips and suggestions that you can share for SPOUSE VISA applicants like me. Thank you!:)

Link to IV immigrant interview info also as the above mentioned said, the embassy reviews are helpful but not comprehensive. The questions are usually general unless there is a red flag on your application. Usually general so if your application is not unusual, you shouldn't have any unusual questions. Here is a link to possible questions. Possible consular questions.

  8. I know that there should be no more additional payments inside the US Embassy.but during my interview I saw a few who paid something on some windows. I met some who are also applying for k1 visa and cr1 visa. We all didn't have to pay anything. I don't know what was the payment for.they have windows exclusively for them which mostly the visa applicants don't go.

They were probably paying for the 601 waivers or some such. My wife paid for ours when it was turned in at the embassy. But for interviews, no extra fees required.

  9. No you don't need any money at the embassy, it even states in the embassy letter with requirements that even the 2GO fee is included. After the interview you will be called to a window (72 for us) where they confirm where you want the visa delivered. If you were missing any documents or such they will give you a 221G instead of confirming delivering.

Food stall inside the embassy? Really? I must of missed that when I was there...

Yep, on the right of the entrance hallway there was a canteen stall on the way to the cashiers booth. Nothing fancy, just sodas and water, munchies if I remember right.

  10. You could have them mail you the check, or what we did was mail them the package and have them put the check in the package. It seems safer to mail a package then a 420$ check. International mail is suspect at best, at least where I am at it is.

Either of the two choices work. There shouldn't be any problems with them. It is when you try to improvise and not give them what they ask for is when you'll be rejected or delayed. Remember always, the USCIS IS the 800 lb. gorilla in the room, so don't mess with them. You need them to do their job correctly and without causing them ANY trouble or doubts. When they have to think or interpret the rules, you will be the loser.
