Hello Everyone. I am a little scared about this but wanted to ask you guys who entered US recently for the first time. My wife come to US on Jan 25th and I dont see any stamps on her passport other than the entry stamp for US Customs. They took her fingerprint and all but no other stamps for the greencard. Do they stamp anything for the greencard? If yes, since I dont see any on my wife's passport, what do i do now?

Please advise as I am freaking out a little for now.

Wife called around 12.30am and gave me the good news. They didnt ask anything at all. Just standard questions:

Who is filing for you?

Where does your husband work?

Whats his job title?

WHen did you last see you husband?

How come you had a late reception (almost 9 months later)?

Showed them the pictures of the reception.

How come your in-laws didnt come to marriage?

Who from you in-laws side came to the wedding?

What are you doing currently?

Then the lady said: Congratulations. Your visa has been issued and you will get your passport in the mail.

The pre-screener and the CO asked the same questions. She had to wait 2 hours in between and then she got out in less than 10 mins.

Thank you all for the help and prayers.

It's over folks. The wife is approved. It was short and sweet. Don't know the details but will post review once. But she was only asked my name and the wedding date. They didn't ask for anything else. My wife was the first one interviewed today.

But Ahmedabad passport office are full of J E R K S.....they haven't put a tag outside their premisis...of BE AWARE...... Anyways .... long story short.....don't go with any expectations.....to AHD passport office....that they will listen to you or get your work done......forget it......

So now completely ready for the interview.......but I just want to get the list of supporting doc's from someone. I know it has been posted earlier on VJ...but I can't find it.....plz someone post the link.....that would be so helpful...

Updated: Apparently January 6th is the best day ever for visas!!! My husband was approved this morning Thanks to everyone who wished us good luck or kept us in their thoughts and prayers and who helped us along the way

He will be able to get his visa next Thursday and his POE is Jan 23rd

A big congrats to all of the PI Jan 6thers who were approved!!!!! Yahoooo!!!! Soo close to the enddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd now

I heard AVR this morning. It says Your documents were received on Nov 15th. please 6-8 weeks for us to review. What does this mean? Is my AOS AND IV packet entered?

It seems like we don't hold chance 4 dec end interview.

Yes it means both the documents have been entered. I had the same message and then 9 days later, got the SIF

Call NVC tomorrow morning and confirm it with multiple operators. (If they say to send PP office PCC to NVC, request them to close the case and forward to the Consulate and you will submit this PCC at the Consulate through VFS)

Also call DOS# 202-663-1225, get a human, to get the up to date status.

Question for you experts here: I just received a checklist letter but the AVR says my case is complete. I know I needed this checklist for the passport office PCc but now I m confused as it has a barcode to send the pcc to nvc.

Please advise.
