Still haven't got my visa - still hasn't been printed... Friends having interviews in JHB, maybe prepare yourself for a bit of a wait after the interview

So I arrived in Johannesburg on the 12th May, as I landed I received a phone call from the US Embassy - they asked if I could make it for an interview THAT day... I could, so my friend took me, and I was APPROVED!!!!!! So I didn't end up having to wait until the 19th May for an interview - was in so much SHOCK!!

when i received the original packet 3 i could send both the DS230 and checklist at the same time. i sent those two the day after i got packet 3, and then the next day i got the email with the interview letter. where is your package at the moment?

i had originally asked the embassy for a copy of what packet 3 looked like so i knew what needed to be done as soon as i got packet 3 from them. there is a form you need to fill out (DS-230), and a checklist (to let them know you have everything for the interview), i had gotten my medical, unabridged birth certificate and police certificate in jan and feb and march, so that...
