Congratulations Ollie! Remember that when you apply for a passport, you get back your passport and your certificate separately, people report that they have their certificates back 3-5 weeks after getting a passport, so don't panic when you get a passport only

Oh I know.....but it's still terrifying, especially with as bad as the postal service has been lately.

    Preparing for test.

    Queslition like

    "What does the Constitution do?"

    answers:

    sets up the government

    defines the government

    protects basic rights of Americans.

DO they expect me to give all answers or just one of these?

I mean some questions define one or two answers - I understand, but questions like above kills me

Any of the provided list of answers would be considered correct.

    Hi All,

That topic was very useful for me, thanks for everyone contributing!

    Thats briefly my case:

    1. 02/16/21 Applied for naturalization, with my wife and myself (electronic filing)

    2. Our 5 years is 05/16/21, so we applied exactly 90 days before

    3. Never got any text or e-mail updates from USCIS, every though we subscribed

    4. 02/28 got our bio reuse letters

    5. Today checked status again, and can see interview was scheduled for 06/01, the same for my wife

    6. Our field office is Denver, CO

    Hope that is useful

    Thank you!

Congrats! A step in the right direction.

anyone else from California who filed more than a year ago and is still waiting for an interview appointment? Any word on the backlog? is it getting better?

USCIS site says my wait time is 2 months, but I have a hard time believing it.

CA has some of the worst N-400 backlogs.

As of 9/30/20 (last complete report)

    Fresno: 9214

    Imperial: 1694

    Sacramento: 18352

    San Bernardino: 20301

    San Diego: 16793

    San Fernando Valley: 18753

    San Francisco: 35821

    thank you.

pls what do you think  this this mean?

    • Any evidence of Selective Service Registration

it was listed as part of thing to bring to interview

If you lived here at any point between the age of 18 and 26, you should have registered for the selective service (draft). You can go to https://www.sss.gov/verify/ to verify that you had signed up, and print a record to bring to your interview.

hi everyone, today i logged into my online account and saw this message for my n400 application:

"Your next milestone: attend your interview"

i didn't recieve any interview letter and case status is still "fingerprints taken"

what does this mean? does anybody have any idea? i don't want to miss an interview so how can i make sure what this means?

i also have a pending i751 too and there is no news on that either.

    thank you.

Their update is leading to a lot of confusion. It showing that your next milestone is attending your interview does not necessarily mean your interview has been scheduled, just that it is the next step.

    Congrats Ollie.

    .

    .

What questions were asked at the interview? will this be the civic interview?

1: Who is the father of our country

2: How many voting members in the house of representatives

3: How old must US citizens be to vote in federal elections

4: The idea pf self governance is established in the first 3 words of the constitution, what are they.

5: What is the name of the national anthem

6: If the President can no longer serve, who becomes President.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to post my N-400 timeline and see if there was anyone with recent experience with the Los Angeles Field Office.

    N-400

    Filed electronically:  Feb 3, 2021
Biometrics reuse letter:  Feb 25, 2021
Interview appointment issued: April 1, 2021
Interview scheduled for:  May 12, 2021

I was shocked at how quick the interview was scheduled! Then I looked at @ollie's timeline and his was even quicker! 😮

I read a Reddit post from someone who had their Los Angeles interview 4-months ago and they got the oath ceremony on the same day. I'm wondering if it'll be the same for me.

    Thanks everyone!

Congrats on the progress.....I'm just benefiting from the fact that Indiana isn't exactly a huge destination for immigrants, compared to CA, NY, etc.
