I think the difference in outcry between the two instances is a result of our understanding of the environment and science between then and now. I dont' want to put words in your mouth, but it appears to me that your argument is something along the lines of "far worse than this has happened to the environment, and things are ok now, so we really shouldn't worry so much". Is that about right?

He does make time for me though! Somtimes when I have a bad day just for no reason other than hormones, he will make dinner and clean up even after being at work for 10 hours (and I was home all day )! However, being tax season and all, I want him to find time for himself as well -- he needs to recharge and relax. So when he does the witch's taxes, it would be our time together that he will sacrifice. MIL thinks that the future WIL was sneaky when she asked and that hubby should just email a no. But hubby says its too late now. Oh well.
