  2. Congratulations. I'm really frustrated, but I can imagine how happy you are to know that you can go there and be with your husband until the interview. Or if you leave before, to know that he will follow you shortly.

Thank You!!! Yes, I'm going to leave in a few weeks. I can hardly wait to get there I won't come home til the first week of August. So, hopefully it works out so, he can come home too. I haven't been keeping up lately. What's frustrating you?

  4. Hello Everyone :)

Just wanted to give you an update on my status. My AVR was updated saying that they are reviewing my checklist letter response (RFE) as of May 20th. Hope to a sign in fail by monday. I will be departing for Cairo on Tuesday morning! :o Omg, the time is going by so quick. I am so busy this weekend. Not to mention I will be at work monday!

:star: Have a wonderful weekend! :star:

That is Great!!! I hope for you a SIF Monday!!! :D

  5. I'm so happy!! They started reviewing my mom's DS-230 form (not the whole package) 2 days ago. I hope they will finish this review by the end of the month. They have accepted everything else, and I made sure to fill out that embattled DS-230 properly, with the right number format, no gaps in residence or employment, and N/A where appropriate.

Thank you!! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now :)

    That's for sure!!!

    Congratulations... now

    Congrats!!!

  6. Thanks, RPS. I found out what the problem was. That information was actually missing because I had to include the Ds-230 form in another package. They accepted all the civil documents and are currently reviewing the DS-230 form.

I got, in writing, that police certificates are not required if one has lived in another month for less than 12 months! Finally!! No certificate from Italy, yeah!

I hope for you a SIF very soon!!!

  7. Hi,

A quick question about number 24 on DS-230 form. It aks for mothers family name at birth. Is it mothers family name at her birth or mothers family name at applicant birth. I am just a little confused and wanted to confirm it. I would appreciate your opinion. Thanks.

If this application is for your mother, then it would be your grandmothers family name your grandmother was born with. OR if this application is for you then it would be your mothers family name at her birth.

  8. I was trying to book direct with the airline too for my last minute trip in June for hubby's interview (I only got a little over 3 weeks to prepare)...but if I book direct with United, it's gonna be over $2000 total. Vayama.com has the same flight for just less than $1500...I also compared international flight with Kayak.com also...I am also picky too with where I transfer flight as there's no direct flight between Seattle and Hong Kong...anyway...Take care, and good luck!!

Oh cool! sounds about right :D Thanks! Congrats!

  9. heard from the nvc. my husband has had three visas so they just needed more information about him visas. sent off the paperwork today NVC should receive it tomorrow. HOPING and PRAYING to be approved by the second week of June.

Seems like everyone is having good luck so I am hoping to be apart of the good news soon!!!

OH YAY!!! I'm glad to hear that! I hope you get your SIF very soon!!! I wish you all the luck in the world!!!
