    OMG... OMG...

Thanks God and all of VJ members for help/support.

Major Step Complete... on to next one now.

Congrats on your SIF!!!

  2. You should probably have him get a new police certificate just to be safe, and yes, get extra certified copies of EVERYTHING cause even though they already have them, that doesnt stop them from saying oh, no , we dont have that and we need it, or yeah but we need it again.....(they tried this with the certified marriage certificate from my previous marriage that we sent after the first interview at this second interview, he made them look through the file until they found it since he had an email from them stating they had it) Just play it safe, really, Take originals or certified copies of anything you can think of. Better to be over prepared and not need what you bring than to have them request it and not have it with you.

Thank You so much!!! Will Do!!! Take Care!!!

  3. All that you need to pay at the interview is the DHL envelope for the embassy to send the visa and the sealed envelope with all the papers needed for the POE. I believe it was 65 egyptian pounds.

The police certificate is good for I think 3 months, or at least that is what my husband can remember.

All we did for the interview was have the copies of all the paperwork that was sent to the USCIS and to the NVC. All of the packets.

We didn't go get extra certified copies of any of his papers and it was fine. I know that somewhere they suggest to have an extra certified copies but we didn't.

I think that the passport photos will be fine. They will take a photo of your SO when he goes through the POE and take his fingerprints.

I hope this answers some of your questions!

His police certificate was issued on April 18th and our interview is July 11th That is cutting it real close. Do you think it would be fine? Thank You So Very Much!!!

  4. Does anyone know how much the fees are the day of the Interview?

When do the Criminal Records Expire?

Although the Embassy has all of the original documents.... Should we get another Certified Military Record, Certified Birth Certificate or any other Certified Documents to take to the Interview with us?

I will have sponsor and joint sponsor tax transcripts do I need to take any other supporting documents for them?

I am just wondering...Every passport style photo we have taken for all of the forms we filed we did not take them with our glasses on including our marriage certificate. Has anyone had an issue with this? Going through the Interview or POE??? Thank You All In Advance!!! Good Luck To All On Your Visa Journeys!!!

  5. Hi everyone,

    Is this case complete?

Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you believe that you have received this message in error.

There is excitement and trepidation about this message. I hope it means it's final, but after having so many problems with the NVC, I don't want to get my hopes too high.

    Congrats!!!

  6. Take anything and everything you can think of even if you think its something not needed. Certified divorce papers, birth certificates for you and him and any children either of you have, your marriage certificate and marriage certificates of any previous marriages, phone records, text records, chat logs, all photos you have together and with family and friends, proof of marriage party, cv/resume for both of you, proof of your disability benefits and medical proof of your disability, any proof of plans to attend schooling, boarding passes, iteneraries, passport visa stamps and entry and exit stamps.. seriously, anything and everything even if it seems not necessary because the one paper you do not take, will be the one paper they ask for..

I have been through 2 interviews there at cairo( my husband has) first interview they put us in AP because they wanted his cv and a certified copy of a previous marriage i had, he had his cv there. and Second interview they put us in AP because they wanted a copy of my babies birth certificate, i was pregnant when we met and we married shortly after delivery and we made sure they knew that the baby was not his, it was my ex husband but they still insisted on the birth certificate. so i submitted that and a paternity test cause i know that would be the next paper asked for... Still waiting

Be completely honest and organize the folders so that you know exactly where to find all papers and same with photos, organize them so that you can open right to the photos you want to show them. Always show a document or photo along with your answer if you have something that pertains to the question they are asking.

Most of all, good luck to you!!!

Oh my goodness I am so sorry you have been through so much!!! Thank You for all of this information there are things I never even thought of. Thank You So Much!!! Good Luck with your next interview!!!

  7. Greetings All!

I have been an "unofficial" member of VJ (observing from the sidelines) since January. I was so encouraged/inspired by the posts in the MAY INTERVIEWS FORUM, I decided to "officially" join.

We were able to get through the process (NOA 1 to Interview Date) in 154 days :D thanks, in part, to the information found here on VJ!

My husband's interview is July 13th!!!!!

Go luck to you all on your journeys!

    Welcome!!! :D

  8. From what I have read usually when a U.S. spouse goes to the interview with their spouse. The interviewer usually targets (I say targets because they usually ask the U.S. spouse most of the questions). My predicament is...They usually ask about the job of the U.S. spouse. I have been receiving SSD since 1999 and they know this. This is why we have a joint sponsor. So, if they ask me if I'm going to go back to work. My answer to them is...SSD has a ticket to work program and can send me to a vocational school to train me for a job. It's a trial and error thing. This is what I want to do. But it's trial and error like I said. I printed out information on these two things but due to the interview coming up soon I won't be able to start this process until we come home. If anyone has any advice on this subject please feel free to give me your opinion. Thank You in advance!!! Good Luck on your Visa Journey!!! Also any input on what else I should take???
