I am a bit confused about when my husband can apply for his Citizenship On the 11th of march we will have been married 5 years!! He has had his 10 year green card since Feb of 08. I see alot of people getting there citizenship right after they lift there 2 year conditions. Am i misunderstanding this process, i thought you had to wait 3 years from the date on your green card? Please help if we can apply today for citizenship then i would love to do that since he is almost done with school and looking to get a job with the gov. (and of course you need to be a us citizen for most of them)

did your husband get 2 years conditional green card before the 10 years 1?if yes 3 years minus 90 days count from the date he got his first green card.

i am 3 weeks away from being USC.my brother he is in the United states he has everything(SSN card,work permit..etc) but green card he is sponsored thru his company he works for but that process is takin long time so i was thinking soon i become a citizen im gna fill i 130 for him but im not sure how lng that process would take?it shouldnt take 12 or 13 yrs like if you are doing for your siblings who is not in United States right? any help would apreciated

Do you do everything for your husband? If so, make sure HE signs the N-400 form it though. After all, for the first time this step is all about him, not you.

FIRST step all you need to do is fill that form carefully and send it with two photos and copy of ur green card front and back thats all.

about proving stuff marriage,tax return ,court fine paid ...etc everything at the time of your intervew.when you ll get your interview letter it will tell you everythin you need to bring .

so send only as much you asked for so they dont delay ur app.gudluck ppl

my sister was given a ticket for hit and run what happened was she didnt know she hit that car so she left the scene .ticket was marked on criminal which is misdemeanor class 4 in virgina.so in court judge charged her for inproper driving and with fine of 250.00 no the question is how we mention that on N400 ? thatks

I received a letter for Finger Notification, is this the request of evidence the uscis referring to when i check my status online?

On the civic questions for example,...what does the judicial branch do?can i just answer "reviews laws" is enough?

The "RFE" was the fingerprint notice. Same thing happens to a LOT of people. Me also. USCISs system is screwed up when dealing with this.

If it hasn't been more than 30 days since you did fingerprinting no need worry yet.

Call after 30 days and make a service request. Infopass may help but you didn't need it.

hi i was fingerprinted 10 days b4 my uncle. my uncle recieved the interview letter already but my case staus online still requested for more evidence i didnt recieved anything other than fingerprint notice which were on 01-26-2010 i called fbi i make sure they were accepted and returned the same day but no interview letter yet should i be worried? and i already call uscis about that RFE i never recieved but havnt heard anythin back its been almost a month since i did that.i made an infopass for this comin monday is dat good? thanks any help will be apreciated!

NO seperate different departments thats why you have to put those cover letters on top and use that address is on it.

I'm having my naturalization interview next month and have just a few questions;

-For naturalization, does every male has to sign up for selective service? (I became a LPR 3 years ago when I was 29 years old)

-Neither my wife or I have ever been married before, do I need to bring proof of this to the interview to show that neither of us have ever been married? If so, where would I get this document?

18 to 26 male has to be registered with selective services u were 29 when you got ur gc so u didnt had too.i dont think there is a document you can show that tell you were married or not so just oraly say big NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lol

On the 11th, I called the NVC and they said that the Choice of Agent form was accepted. I went ahead and logged onto the immigrantvisas.state.gov site to see if I was able to pay the IV and I was - paid it and printed out a receipt that shows In Process. Friday, they sent the IV bill via email - I checked today online to see if my payment went through and the bank showed it cleared, but the immigrantvisas.state.gov site shows NOT PAID?!?! Did I pay it too early? The Invoice ID number is the same, but now the site shows I have only paid the AOS bill. Am I freaking out or should I just wait a few days for it to clear their system? Im a little worried it doesnt show "In Process" anymore when its already cleared my bank!~!

you should be fine it takes them usually 3 bussines days to post it paid thursday u paid i would say monday or tuesday it will be dont worry.yea while start on packet three which is ds 230 and other recuired paper work have it ready as soon you get a cover letter you can just mail that to them with that cover try to send all 1 time gudluck

last week i talked to an operator and he told me that there are no available interview date for february and they will be email me once they schedule an interview in march.Usually next interview scheduling is on the second week of the month.Now i'm waiting for the interview date..

hi my wife case was completed on 01-15-2010 i called nvc today rep told me cal on the 15 to check if she gets a date in march coz all this week they are workin on march app so hopefully she gets it for march and gudluck to u too.

How u can check status online? with NOA receipt or Biometric receipt.

Just i received NOA today and i tried to check status online but that number dosn't work.

on that NOA top left corner there ll be a 13 digits reciept # that is the # u need to check your status..

Please Advice About about Brother to brother Approval for I130 forworded to the NVC in Dec 31,2009 they wrote in the letter that my brother received that they have sent the original visa petition to the NVC to process all approved immigrant visa petitions that need consular action , and they said that the NVC will contact me (beneficiary) with in 3 months from the said previous date , please tell me the estimated time to get all the visa process done and what is the steps in this case ,please anyone knows any informations about this case please inform me and i ll be gratful

ok the way i understood that you are USC and u filled i 130 for your brother with uscis and its approved Dec 20009 and they transfered it to NVC correct?if that is the case NVC does inform you that they have recieved the visa petition visa # is not availiable yet NVC will contact you when visa # becomes available or about to become availiable .

sorry to inform you brother that your brother got long way to go to get a visa you are talkin like good 7 or 8 years depending on what country you from.what you can do is check visa bulletin http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin...letin_4659.html and see what dates they are workin on your is family visa 4th catogary.gudluck....

i am still GREEN CARD holder but in process to be citizen.i got married in 2006 so i filled 1-130 with uscis in aug 2006 approved nov 2009 yaay after all that time they transfered it to NVC everything is completed at Nvc 1/15/2010 on AVR fee bils packet with ds 230 case is completed now im just waiting for my wifes interview letter but visa bulleten it shows they still on workin on march 2006 cases so does that mean even though my case is been completed i still have to wait for them dates to be current with my priority date?i was thinking maybe these dates are computrized genrated? because uscis processing dates are not accurate too and they dont often change emm that thing drove me nuts. please if some one went thru same situation or know please reply to this post thanks
