years ago my parents filled asylum and withholding removal, they were give with holding status in the USA…. Now I am 21+ I had filled I130 which is approved to file adjustment of status we had to wait to get the immigration judge to terminate the withholding removal which is now terminated as well!!!!

Wanted to know the process since now we have the order from the judge can we apply the I-485

for my parents if so, what are the forms we need to fill out.

just want to know that if forms the only things we needed now trying to avoid the high cost that the lawyers are asking,  please help!!!!

hi im posting this for my brother in law he had his interview today it went well interview officer told him everything is perfect all documents are good but we need more time so they kept his passport gave him purple token and told him you need that token to pick up your passport.is anyone know what that suppose to mean and how long it can take?thankyou all

Alright finally got the interview date for march recieved the e mail yesterday kool.

i am the agent of choice for the case which my sister filled for her husband.before i sent in the ds 230 and supporting documents she took her oath to be usc so i was told to send the copy of citizen certificate with all documents which i did but that nuckle head who review them missed it and didnt change the category of the visa so he completed the case first week of december 2010 but visa category was still f2a when i noticed that i called the nvc had to speak to supervisor she told me that visa # is available for this case soon you ll get interview date then i told her you guys didnt change the category of the visa shee was like ohhh we have to reopen the case to change that but case completed date will be changed ok after three days mid december i got an email that request have been recieved and visa category has been updated but till today case is not complete i been callin everyday that reason they reopened the case has been resolved today i got an answer from the supervisor that case is on its way to be completed but i am gonna request it so the do it quick wait till this week and then call back.i think i should have waited till we got an interview date then tell nvc or embassy to update the visa category nvc waisted 1 month for nothing they made the mistake guess who paid the price? just wanted to share so no body else make the same mistake or similer thank you all for reading Happy New Year.

people who had interviews at islamabad, pakistan embassy or anyone who have knowledge about the $350 fee required at the time of interview?

what about the IV bill we pay at NVC.. isn't that enough???

if you already paid the IV fee $400.00 you dont have to pay any other fee just pay for the medical exam.let me know if you need more info my wife just got a IR1 visa in may 2010.gudluck

Hello my wife was interviewd o may 20 2010 after entering the embassy gave the FP and was told to sit till her name is called after sometime her name was called she went to the window she gave her passport and the guy gave her purple slip n told her keep that slip you have to show this when you go pick your visa at courier office and he said wait for your interview then after 2 hour her name was called this american guy took her interview in urdu no translater wow i was amazed he asked marriage date?what does your husband do?who is the sponsor?where your husband work and whats his boss name?show me the pics after that magic words your approved in abt two weeks you ll recieve your visa congrats i was like damn two weeks more lol but two weeks turned into only 1 day courier office called on may 22 2010 your passport is here with visa please bring that purple slip.her poe was on 2nd june 2010 recieved her greencard july 14 2010.

Hi, I live in Northern VA, filed my application early April 2010, did my biometrics 5/14/2010 and still waiting to receive my interview letter. I called the 1-800 number and was told that DC office is processing Dec. 1, 2009 filers (now updated to January 1, 2010 filers), same information you will find if you will check the processing time for N-400 files for DC/Fairfax office.

I see that a lot of N-400 files on this board are done with the whole process in about 3 months period. My case is now about 4 months and still no interview letter.

hi i think those dates are not acurate bec i applied DEC 21 2009 my interview and oath was on MARCH 30 2010 its been about 4 months since mine is done lol and they are showing they workin on Dec 1 2009 i guess we have to wait. goodluck with yours and keep me posted

hi my sister applied for her citizenship in April 2010 did her FP on 05/16/2010 recieved her yellow letter 06/25/10

waiting for interview letter online last status update was on 05/08/2010.i did mine i was done in total 100 days from start to end same office so i dont know maybe something wrong? is there anyone who applied in april and lives in north va? time line?

we received hubby's welcome letter over a month after his POE, and finally receive a card production order update today....guess we are all waiting for GC....we still didn't get his SSN yet though....sigh...

yup you can go to local social security office with a passport and his birth certificate and apply for card that way you will get it quick if its in there system then you ll get it within a week goodluck

Hello everyone.

I arrived with my American husband June 23,2010 so have been in the US for three weeks now. I was told at our interview that I should receive my SSN and GC with in three weeks. I have seen some jobs that I would like to apply for, but am not sure if I should wait until I have the documents in my hand, or tell potential employers that I am waiting for my papers. Also, is there anyway in which I can track it? any feedback on this would be appreciated. thank you.

my wife's interview was on 20th may 2010 so sharing her experience.

Her interview was scheduled for 08:00 am.I had her leave 01:00 am from sialkot so she can get there on time so they got @ that bus station 06:00am got the ticket for 500 RS lol on embassy web site its says aprox 20 RS biggg difference haha.soon she was entered to embassy was finger printed and 10 min later her name was called and was asked to give her passport(we already submitted the pics @ nvc so she asked him you need the pics he said no )then he gave her the purple token and piece of paper had the courie locations on it.he highlighted that 1 near us in sialkot and said they ll call you in two weeks to collect your visa make sure you dont loose this token now have a seat you ll be called again for your interview hmmm sat like 3 hrs finally her name was called so this American guy interviewd her yes she selected to have it in urdu and yes that American guy knew urdu very well he didnt even had translater with him wowwwwwwww im amazed.he had her swear that she will tell the truth then he asked when you got married?who is the petitioner and sponsor?what he does?where he lives and who lives with him?then he wanted to see some pics after that he said congrats we are givin you visaaaaaaaaaaaaa again he said in two weeks you ll get a call from courier service that piuck up your visa yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.interview letter had in fine prints bring the most current tax return i spent $30 to mail them from here but he didnt even asked for them.

i was like darn it two more weeks lol but day later 22nd may 200 got call from courier service that your passport with visa and sealed envolpe is here we are open till ... if you want to pick emmm up please come before that time my wife call 01:30 am i was sleeping when she told me i was like stop lyin and let me sleep im tired then she said i swear lolz after that you can tell i couldnt go back to sleep already booked the ticket she ll be here next week INSHALLAH!

my wife interview is next week n islamabad its been four years because i was green card holder these four years i did my taxes but never did joint taxes she doesnt work but i had to get alot of papers from pakistan in order to do joint so my accountant said you can amend last three years taxes when she gets here so i did that now i m scared what if they say why didnt i do joint?

I e mail embassy and they said interview on may 28 not june 10 even though I got letter from NVC saying june 10 , they it not matter , it on may 28

hmmm i think you should call nvc or embassy i know if you in the US you have to get up early to call or have your wife call you need to speak to a live person and tell them about the nvc letter and confirm the date if they say 28 may tell them to send you an e mail with new app letter so that your wife wont have any prob entering the embassy.

thanks so much i did mine on the schduled date and recieved the interview letter exactly one month after and when i went for interview i did see alot of ppl who did fingerprints with me so thats why i was thinking if she does it before her schdeled date and since they send you interview letter one month after that will be good we are gonna try and see what happens thhanks

i hope its good news?my sister did her walk in fingerprints today 2 weeks before her actual scheduled date i hope they accept it and uscis wont be like why did you go before your scheduled date"?

Getting antsy while we await the oath letter, due to general neurotic tendencies as well as summer travel plans.

Had the interview/test (passed) on April 28th, but could not receive approval/oath letter because 3 year residency date was May 3rd. So, waiting.... Our mail comes to a post office box, so normally we don't go there every day. I'm wondering if I can go by getting "touched" online and then head to the post office when we see that has happened.

So, anyone get touched right before receiving an oath letter?

agree with v333k and also once you case has transfered to local office they dont update ur status online so i recomend checkin your mail box atleast every two or three days my uncle did his interview in San Francisco 22nd March hed just recieved his oath letter last week fortunately i live in Virginia here they do oath on same day so i jumped doing it on sameday its freakin so stressful to wait for mail lol oh boy but im glad im done with it

Hello All - My N-400 application was received by USCIS on Feb 22. I got the biometrics notice on March 16 (notice was dated March 12), and completed walk-in biometrics on March 18.

My online case status shows the last update on March 16. In my previous applications I normally was touched a day or two after biometrics. Any idea what could be going on? I called USCIS and was told I needed to wait until I was out of the normal processing time (5 months) before I can log an inquiry.

I wrote this letter today...

Does anyone else have a hunch as to what might be going on? Did they never receive the biometrics? Should I expect a real response or a form letter?

hmmm i know the feelings ok if that makes you feel better get on fbi website get their phone# and ask the opretor that you are calling about status of your finger prints she will transfer you to that department then you will be asked info about you and they will tell you what day were your fingerprints recieved and if they were accepted or not and they will tell you the date they sent the result to uscis GOODLUCK

Has any1 ever done a Walk in fingerprints in Alexandria Va?my sister just recieved her notice today wanted to know if its possible to do walk in since the schdule date is on 06-01-2010 would like the process to be little more faster?any help would be appreciated

are the invoice ID number for the AOS bill and the IV bill the same number?

i ask because on the NVC's online payment site it now says not paid on the IV bill section when before it said not billed, but we haven't received the invoice from them. can we pay it now?

i was told until u get an e mail from us askin iv payment dont pay it.it will delay the case that i was told when i called nvc i was able to sign in and could hav paid but i did wat i was told and 2 days latter i got an e mail for iv bill i hoe this help if you cant wait before you pay it call nvc k
