yes if you already a citizen you are suppose to tell them you should have called the same day u became citizen you are delayin your case yourself .call emm they might put you in front of the line when they schedule interviews gudluck and let me know what happenes.

well Finally after 6 month I heard from NVC that my case is complete on Apr 13 2010 , can anybody tell me what happen now , what will be next step and what is case complete means ?

they will send you interview appointment depends on what kind of case and if your dates are not current they ll just let it sit till they become current and if you know they are current u can call nvc an ask them

hey guys just wondering if anyone knew how long does it usually take to reschedule an interview. what i mean is my fiance's interview is this monday, april 19. if we had to reschedule his interview, do we have to wait long again to get a new interview date? or can we get it in a week? i'm just worried because i'm not sure if he'll receive my documents on time for his interview on monday. fedex doesn't guarantee 3 days. so if that doesn't happen, we're screwed. we'll have to reschedule but i don't want to wait long for another interview date. has anyone gone through this? what is the time span for getting a new interview date?

i wouldnt reschedule it just go in and tell them what happened they might do the interview and tell bring the documents on that date and remeber show up for inteview

My K-1 has been approved and I am getting ready to send affidavit of support to my fiancée overseas. I had moved after filing my K-1 but never changed that address because my mail is still being forwarded to new address (another state).

Now that I have to complete the affidavit of support, should I use my new address or use the old one (to be consistent)?

u should use a new address and where ever your case is if it is in us cosulate call them or e mail them ur address change they need to know i had filled me i 864 then i moved then i had to do i 865 sponsors change of address because the person u are sponsoring till they become citizen u have to support them financialy and inform uscis with your new address if u move

Thanks everyone. I'm well aware of the requirement of filing your taxes every year. I just couldn't find my tax return for 2005 and didn't want to pay 60 bucks just to get a copy of it if USCIS isn't going to be looking at it. I think IRS could only send transcripts for last three years only if I'm not mistaken

Thanks for you response, do you recall from your IL or the yellow paper they normally send, if they specify the # of years for the tax returns to bring to the interview?

i applied based on 5yr as LPR on the interview letter i was required to bring the letter itself,state isue id,all passports and green card it didnt say bring tax papers but if you apply on marriage base then u have to bring them with you so its not required for your category but again if you have them why not take emm with you its only few more papers.

I am currently awaiting my interview letter and I am just wondering how many tax years USCIS normally ask to bring to the interview for those who received their letter based on the 5 year option. I looked at the guide and its not mentioned anywhere as far as I could tell unless I missed that

another question, I am so busy with work that I couldn't file my taxes for 2009. I know, today is April 15 ...the deadline!!! but I did file for an extension and I guess my question is if I go to the interview before I file, is this going to add any complication to my application

i applied mine on 5 yr base at the interview IO asked do i owe any money to irs and filling my tax returns every year? i answered i dont owe any money to irs.i wasnt asked to show the transcripts for recent years but i had emm with me just in a case but only last 3 yrs. believe me if you owe or not filing your taxes they know it already.if you have them take emmm or if you dont call irs they can mail you last 3 yrs transcripts goodluck.

Do they need original documents proving income?

I sent mine with copies and it was accepted.

My case is approved/completed at NVC and am awaiting for Medical/Interview Schedule, can any one advise how much time does it take to be scheduled for Interview? my case type is F3 and origin is Paksitan

are your priority dates current?if yes you will be recieving interview app in your e mail address you provided to Nvc soon you get that e mail read it and make sure the info is correct like names date of births and far as for medical soon you recieve an e mail with your interview date you can go ahead to make an appoinment for medical.I hope this helps if you got more question feel free to ask goodluck

HI Everyone so after a longtime finally time has come my wife's scheduled for her F2A visa interview next month.so was wondering if someone can share there experience or tips or sugestions"? any help will be apreciated thanks again.

I went to my interview today and, after all was said and done, the officer rescheduled me until May 12,two weeks after I will have completed my five years in the United States. Although, there have been exceptions with other Visa Journals members taking the test before completing their 3 or 5 years the officer decided not to do this with me. Needless to say, he was very nice, polite and courteous with me. Today, all was not lost, I was able to relax my nerves and feel that I won't be as nervous when I go back for my interview and part of the reason being that, after he went over all my paper work, he told me that everything was in order and that nothing was missing. I hope that my journal is of some help and comfort to some of you. Till next time, take care and God bless you all.

How long it takes for interview after NVC completes case for F4 for India

depends on the priority dates for that visa category in visa bulletin match your priority dates and do the math.

My interview was scheduled on 03/30/2010 at 09:20 Am.I got there at 08:45 Am left my phone in the car assuming they wont let me take it inside with me but i could have taken it with me they only want you to not use a camera and put it on silent.checked in called my name about 10:00 am IO asked to sworn in everything thing i will say nothing but truth and then sitdown.then he went over my application asked me same questions already answered on application then he asked me to read Where is WhiteHouse? then write Whitehouse is in Washington D.C. then he started asking questions

1)capital city of virginia?

2)how many senators?

3)how many years US rep?

4)house has howmany voting members?

5)what does constitution do?

6)when we celebrate independence day?

then he said congraulation you have passed the test and there is Oath ceremony at 2:00 pm are you available? i said yes then he gave me oath letter to bring back with me.so there it is it went so smooth i couldnt believe it .thanks everyone here and goodluck

If your petition had not yet been sent to the consulate/embassy, and was still sitting in USCIS/NVC limbo waiting for an available visa number, becoming a US citizen would jump it to the front of the line for an visa number, and significantly fast track the petition's approval. But it sounds like your wife has already received her visa application from the embassy, sent it in, and received her interview date. In this case, sad to say, your becoming a US citizen has no bearing at all on the scheduling of her interview.

It may be possible for her to contact the embassy and ask nicely if there is any way to move the scheduled interview up. I was able to reschedule my interview at Vancouver Canada from the end of last May back a month to the end of last April. She may need a good reason, though, and your imminent citizenship will not be enough. The reason I gave was that my work needed to know whether I would receive my visa as soon as possible. The embassy's willingness and ability to reschedule will be highly specific to that embassy. You or your wife will need to contact them directly.

case completed on march 4 2010, how do you know date for an interview via email ?,have to call to speak to a operator and they let us know ?

Hello my fellow memeber,so i received a package from NVC and paid the affidavit of support,getting reading to send all documents.My question is i printed out the document cover sheet,all i nedd to send is the form I-864 and my tax returns,im using a sponser(have to his birth cerficate,correct) and he hasn't done his 2009 taxes so is it alright to use his 2008 taxes as his most recent.he found his 2007 taxes but he cant find his 2006,so is it alright if i leave it blank and only put the amount of money he made just for 2008 and 2007 and leave 2006 blank because he doesn't know how much he made,or will i get in trouble

ask your sponsor to call his/her employer accountant who does their payrol accountant can tell how much he/she made in 2006 and can also provide the copy of w2 for 2006 all they have to do is print it and one more thing your sponsor can do go to local irs office and ask for recent years transcripts they are free if dont wanna go to local office call irs ask for transcripts they will mail it to your sponsor free of charge only thing on phone it take few days to get them walk in sameday goodluck

Their customer service is known as being the worst. But in 11 months my 2 yr contract is up....and I will likely not be using AT&T. And for the record...I'm a bit ticked and NOT crying about it! well i dono who you talk to but i hav been with att for 8 yrs no prob with customer service and i am using my 2nd i phone now its 3gs first one was 3g so the point is i went back home and lost my phone there then got back in the US couldnt get the iphone coz i had to wait for upgrade discount meanwhile i was using my old phone told att that i no longer have the iphone so i dont need the data plan they took the data plan off and im not on your back this website is about to guide ppl in their immigrant path not to hear you cryin abt your phone problems and verizon pays early termination for you if you switch so you dont have to wait that 11 mo too ok try to be little more smart for Godsake

Arrrggghh... This iPhone has been wortless at bad connections for a year...and now I finally was get through to NVC...and talk to a person who confirms my email and specifics, and says the case was received Fri and just about to give me MNL case number.....BOOM...my ATT iPhone (like is has done so many times in a yr) drops the call.......

Now...back to calling and getting busy signal.....

lol my friend if you have that many complaints with iphone no one gota gun on your shoulder that you have to use only iphone its your choice and as far as with a data plan you can tell att that you lost your iphone and you want to cancel the data plan they will cancel it now stop cryin abt your cell phone here.

Im on same boat i had my intervew last nov 19 in fairfax and till now didnt get any oath letter yet. I called the USCIS number and they said they will make and inquiry about my case.

u mean fairfax va? i thought they do 2 oath cermonies a day most of time you get same day oath or next.how come you didnt get yours on same day?
