  1. Do you guys remember that video of the girl who arrives in the box and when the guy's mom tells him to send her back she swallows the bill? His buddy says, "at least she swallows."

    Funny, funny, funny video!

I cannot find it on youtube! I want to see it again! It was a funny video.

  2. One more question: should I call them to make sure it gives me the right to go to France without any issue? We still want to have a second wedding there for the whole family but I want to make sure I'll be allowed back in the US

Your conditional resident status is extended for a period of one year. During the one-year extension you are authorized

employment and travel. (This extension and authorization for employment and travel does not apply to you if your conditional

    resident status has been terminated.)

If anything call the French Embassy and make sure they recognize it. I am sure they do.

  3. Hi everyone,

I hope all of you are doing great.

I have a question for you guys and hopefully you will have an answer for me.

I just received this morning my Biometrics appointment scheduled for May 8th. But I never got the NOA (not sure of the name), the letter temporarily extending my GC for 1 year. Is it normal? Should I call them?

    Thanks you

    Thibaut

How many weeks has it been since your check was cashed?

How far are you from your Service Center? (I am one USPS day away)

I would say if it has been more than 10 business days since your check was cashed call and inquire.

  4. So an obese, carton a week, beer guzzling recipient can go on receiving...

You are right! They should also take Breathalyzers before collecting their checks! You can re-use breathalysers and it disqualifies idiots.

I once had a job interview that required both! I asked how many people fail the Breathalyzer and he laughed and said more than you could guess.

It doesn't save money. Here in FL, only 2% of the folks test positive. So, the state is on the hook for the cost of the drug test of the 98% that are clean and saves benefits only for the 2% that are not. You see, if your assumption that 30% of welfare recipients are junkies was right, then yes, this would be a money saver. But your assumption is demonstrably false by large margins - at least here in FL.

Idea: First test is mandatory, the rest are random. That might save money. Harsh penalties for those caught offending... they need to pay for two tests (failed and their re-test when they try again), and cannot re-apply for 3 months.

  5. As Why_Me said..... russia sex russia sex russia sex russia sex

As for why those are up there, it's because people look at them. Why advertise here? Some aren't done with selections yet. It's possible they're only here to figure out the process and WHAM! "Check out the hotties!" Plus, it's a great stress reliever for the rest of us. They've done studies and everything. When you stare at beautiful women and/or big breasts, it reduces your risk for cancer.

But increase the chance for Viruses

  6. Brought the makings for pumpkin pie a few times to Belarus. Their definition of Pie is different than ours... I do not even think they have pies.

I had a hard time finding cream cheese, powdered sugar, and brown sugar! (another recipe)

  7. if you already have a card, you should be able to add her to your account not have her apply under her ssn!

I agree with you. I should have tried that first, BofA was probably just trying to get us open up a new account and make some money off us, instead of using the same card.

However, what I said is what happened, and what they told me.

They said she would probably not qualify, and I believed them :bonk:

  8. +1 to that ! I too came here with zero credit history. We got approved for a joint credit card with no problems.

Hmmm.. we went to BofA and they said she probably would not qualify because I had a high credit line, and she had zero credit.

We tried for a regular card but they denied her and put her on a "training card" for the first year.

After that they merged her account into a regular card, but we still have not re-attempted to merge accounts.

We have shared bank accounts, just not credit card accounts.
