  1. OK now I am so frustrated, angry upset and pissed

On July 26th 2006 my son and I finally got an interview date for our AOS and it was set for 26th Sept 2006 in Greer SC......

On August 30th 2006 we got emails ( 3 for my son and 3 for me ) form the USCIS stating that the interview had been canceled and we would be notified when a new date had been set up . I saved these emails......

During Sept I called the number to see what was going off and was told that we had to wait "30" days from the date of the cancellation before they would have any information for me ( this would be Sept 30th to call them back ).............

MY husband and myself cancelled the day that we had booked off from work for the interview and waited. We also talked with an immigration man to ask if he knew what was going off at Greer. He said that they told him that they had taken the staff off to do some backlog and that all our info was there and they would get back to us ................

Sat Sept 30th ........we got mail , not email , and the letters stated for both my son and I ......YOUR APPLICATION FOR PERMENANT RESIDENT HAS BEEN DENIED

reason for this is that we" DID NOT ATTEND THE INTERVIEW"

How in gods name can we attend an interview that they canceled ..... It still states on our USCIS profile that it was canceled and that they will notify us when a new date has been set............

Tomorrow at 9 am we have an appointment for an infopass at Greer to see if we can find out what they are playing at..... We have printed out everything including the profile page off the USCIS site and it shows at the bottom what date we have printed it...............

Sorry to moan but I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pissed

  2. Well I have found out why our interview has been canceled . The USCIS have pulled alot of staff in to get some of the back log of " immigrants (illegal)" cleared  . With the office that we are going through being so small that has left them with approx none to do the interviews of people that are trying to do this legally and paying for it also. :(

So Im sorry if this sounds like I am whinning but I am just a lil fed up with the situation. I have been told to give them till the end of the month to see if they can get me a date. I we hear nothing I will be making an info pass and try to get things moving we are now into our 286th day and I would love to get this part over with .

Has anyone elase had interviews canceled

  4. Well after many phone calls to the 1-800 number, including one yesterday morning, to make sure that all that needed to know of our change of address knew when I got home from work for my lunch in our mail box was two letters from USCIS. I was gob smacked  it was the dates for our AOS interview, my son and I. I thought they might have sent it to our old address and that we might get a letter saying we had missed out interview and had to leave the country but NO its finally here.

This means so much to me as now I should be able to go visit my dad before he passes. Due to other comitments here I was not able to file for AP and in the last 6 months my mother has died and also my brother , my dad has 4 months left. (F)

Thanks for all the support from people on here who never judged me but offered me support. Roll on Sept then a trip to the UK , if only for 5 days , it will be so worth it for me.

  5. Thanks for all your help . So far my son and I have done the AR-11 . My hubby has done the sponsor change of address I-865 and I have called the 1-800 number and done the change of address with them . I have just printed out a letter to our DO and will deliver that over this weekend . I hope I have all my bases covered now , suppose all I can do is sit and wait and keep calling them to double check.

  6. Ok as you might be able to guess from my topic I Am one of those people that has now gone past the alloted 120-180 days it is supposed to take to process and issue an interview date for the AOS.

My son and I sent in our AOS and have a receipt date of Dec 6th 2005. I also sent in for my EAD which I received in March of 2006.

On the 28th June 2006 I called the USCIS just to make sure they had received our change of address (AR-11) and to ask what was going on with our case. The young lady was very nice , polite and helpful. Shr took our change of address again and said she would forward it , update files, for us just to make sure they had got it. Before I had a chance to ask her about the time it was taking she was looking at our case and SHE TOLD ME that we had gone past the alloted time. She then told me that our case had not been touched so it didnt look as if an interview date had been sent to the wrong address but she told me that she was going to include a letter, in with our change of address, to inform them that we had been waiting too long and to try and make them move a bit :bonk::lol: . I realy hope that she does and that things start to move .

How many more of us seem to have been forgotten and put to the bottom of the pile.

What is your receipt date . What area do you live in , I'm thinking this is more of a problem here in the South .

  7. I realy dont see why it has all gone so far people are allowed to air their views and it is their rights . Appologies were made , from what I can see and read, and accepted from both the parties that were initially involved. This is continuing to go on due to people coming into the discssion later. Can we not let it drop and just be supportive of each other while we go through this maze of madness.........

Thanks for your kind words joe . That is the first time I have talked about it on here as I dont want to be judged for not being able to go for AP . I have my reasons and it is serious. I talk to my dad most days and now my bro (also terminal) is getting a new pc with skype on so that my dad can see his grandkids and me and we can see them...

like I said before I just keep praying and hoping that I will get a chance to see him in person soon. Yes I am hoping that he will live longer but now its up to the big man above :luv:

  8. Because it dont matter if we get it or not ..... where as to us it does......

    Ange

thanks for the tip Lisa about the mail box I have just been outside and put both surnames on ours on BOTH sides so they can see it .... my son and I are now outside the predicted time of processing according to the lady at USCIS last wed and she took our addy again and was gonna send them a " get your ####### in gear" letter :bonk:

  9. My son and I filed our AOS and my EAD on Nov 23rd 2005 and got the NOA's back with a receipt date of 6th Dec. Due to family matters that I will not discuss on here as it is personal, we couldnt file for AP. I got my EAD but have heard nothing since..... in the time we have been waiting to get an interview date my mother has passed away and now I have been told that my father has only 9 months left to live. But my family here needs to be sorted and looked after so I wait and hope it wont be much longer........................

please dont think I am whining I am just saying that even after waiting for nearly 8 months I wait patiently and just know in my heart I will get to see my dad before its too late
