Congratulations everyone on your recent approvals - much nicer doing it together instead of apart
Exactly! I wouldn't have minded the wait as much with the original K-1 visa if I could have just been with my Dane. Never have to worry about that again, thankfully.
-
Congratulations on the EAD, AP and interview date, Macaroni!
Jay-Kay, that kinda stinks about going from CSC back to NBC. :\ I'm sure you'll do fine, though, just one more bump on the way to the GC.

For #11, like the example form says, you leave the check box blank and write N/A (K1 visa process for permanent residence).
For #7, yes, I believe you write it on the second line.

Thanks Lohninck.. It looks like I am one of the first jan filers to be offered a job after EAD... After having many people tell me that I wouldn't find work here.. If you want something bad enough you will make sure you go out your way to get it.. Just glad to have a skilled trade behind me as there isn't a lot of people who do it. I know even back in the UK it was hard to find people there to learn this trade.
Anyway congratulations on the greencard... Bet you did the little dance too?
Haha, yes, we definitely did! My Mom gave him a big ol hug and everything.
Whereabouts did you live in the UK? I'm gonna take a guess and say Scotland ;P I lived in Newcastle for 2 years and would visit Scotland every so often, but it seemed like Scotland came to visit us more often than that! Lots of stag dos in Newcastle city centre, I lived right above a pub so never had a quiet weekend for 2 years straight, haha.

Well had my job interview this morning & they offered me the position & I start work on monday morning!! Don't you just love it when everything just falls into place?
Congratulations! That's super exciting! Are you the first of our Jan filers to get offered a job after EAD? If so, awesome!
We got his greencard in the mail today! Card expires on 3/17/13.. sounds good to us! What a way to celebrate St. Patty's Day. I love the details on the card, especially on the strip on the back.. they definitely go out of their way to make sure these can't be counterfeited so easily.

Also, our AOS notifications have been going crazy since we got approved. On the 21st, we had the first text/email saying it was approved, then a couple hours later another saying it went back to decision. Then on the 22nd we got another saying it went back to card production (that one was at 2 in the morning, NOT the best thing to wake up to in the middle of the night! What gives, guys?) and another one on the 24th saying they sent us our approval letter. Someone's a little too happy at CSC, but as long as it keeps saying the AOS is approved, we don't care. But NO MORE 2 AM texts, USCIS!

Congratulations, everyone!

Congrats to all the preggers ladies! And to whomever said they were cut short because they were overqualified, I was in that boat for a couple months.. always overqualified but things that I AM qualified for aren't hiring.. although I did apply to one place and they said I was overqualified for one position, but they gave me a better paying position instead! So keep applying, you never know what's going to happen.
As for me, I sooooo want a kid.. but not until both of us have a job (I'm pulling 2 right now, but we're so happy he can get a job now!) and have a lot in savings.. also I'm going to Disneyworld in September with my husband and my parents so I want to go on Space Mountain one last time before I have little mouseketeers of my own running around.

I also received my EAD & AP today!!!
Did you accidentally eat a bowl of sugar for cereal this morning? This is America, so it's not unlikely! I'm just messing with you.. love the enthusiasm! My husband and I felt the exact same way when we got notice of our approval! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
AOS approved without interview
Us too today! We must have had a very happy person's desk in California. Happy approvals from from happy adjudicators. Happy adjudicators come from California.

Peter got the EAD Card today. He couldn't stop looking at it. He'd look at it, show my mom and step-dad, put it in his wallet.. wait a little bit, take it out, look at it, put it back in his wallet.. then look at it again. Too cute. Like a kid with a pass to a candy store.
-
Congrats, everyone!

Wow, finally! Congratulations! I think the February ship can finally dock and we can all rest at last. Peter's EAD was approved a couple of days ago, we're pretty happy about that. Enjoy your wedding!!!
-
Wow, so many people are getting their EAD and AP approved, and even the GC! Congrats!
I just signed into the USCIS website to check my husband's status, not expecting any updates, and I saw that my husband's AP is approved! Not that we need it right away, but it's still cool that it's already been approved. I'm really looking forward to going to Portland with my husband for his biometrics appointment, I'm just looking forward to getting away for a couple days with him, haha. It will be fun.
Yay, congrats!

Congrats on the greencard, everyone! We just got a text that my husband's EAD was just approved. We're very happy. Can't be long before the AOS is approved now!

I wanted to tell my January 2011 ppl something funny that happened to me today:
I have had this call from Social Security office (after almost 3 months waiting for them) and the woman said : I have some questions to ask you about your I-94 (like saying uhuuum...are you in a legal situation? because it expired in January) and I told her to ask me that questions then she asked me if I had valid immigration documents to what I said yes and that my AOS and EAD were pending. She asked me what kind of documents and I said notice of action for both cases plus just did the biometrics to what she replied: oh, then it's pending (yes, I mentioned it before). Of course she told me to bring either the EAD card or Greencard as soon as I have them because they can't process no more the SSN with the I-94 and K-1. I obviously know it and think that lucky I didn't need a SSN for a marriage license here in Ohio because if not I would have been done XDDD.
However, she was the kindest person I've talked in that office so far.
I'm still waiting for USCIS to say something regarding their mistake changing my whole alien number in one of my NOA1's and biometrics letter for both cases and still waiting to hear something about EAD or GC.
Wish you all the best in your process and waiting!
God bless
That's weird, my husband (who came in on a K-1) and I applied for his social security card/my name change on mine a couple weeks after we got married and they gave it to us without any hassle or question. Maybe our SS office was just in a better mood?
No news here on EAD or AOS, but we're hopeful that we'll hear something soon. Go Jan filers!

Just letting you all know that we all haven't got our AOS yet. I got my Employment card but then we got interview notice we have got interview for each of the kids too. Lmao imagine them trying to interview our 5 year old daughter n 9 year old son. Freaking hilarious, imagine anyone doing all this process, paying all this cash for all of us to be together n now we have another interview. We have to laugh right? Freaking clowns at a circus lmao!!
Anyway we are going to have to pull the kids out school, ken out of work....we are going to make a Fay of it n hopefully get some time together in Philly, taking the kids to see the bell ect.
Wow, that's crazy. When did you apply? Well it should be all over soon.. good luck with all the kids, let them raise hell in the office for dragging you all out there!
I'm working two jobs right now.. a secretary by day and a security guard for Six Flags by night.. so if anyone ever goes to Six Flags Great Adventure this summer, keep a look out!

Hello Guys, This is the first time I post on the forums. I just want you guys to know that I just got the email from USCIS. I think they have started working on January's filers paperwork now. Good luck everyone!

Just a little hope that I thought I would share....I peeked over into the Dec filers forum and some of them received their approvals this month! So....maybe just maybe we will receive ours in March
Ooh, yes please.

Happy to hear it, birdy! We had his bio appointment today and it was nice, apart from me having to run out in the pouring rain to fill the meter up because it only allows for an hour at a time and we waited well over an hour and we got there EARLY. Once he was actually called, it went by very fast with no problems. Now we relax and wait, finally.
-
Possible government shutdown on 4th March and my Bio exam is on 7th March
Why is this?
-
Got my AOS approved, yayyyyyy
Congratulations! You must be so happy!
Peter and I got notice today that our case was transferred to CSC today! We are so, so happy, we immediately woke up and celebrated in a style that only Poacher would be proud of. The midget and donkey returned for their final hoorah.
-
My husband and I got notice early this morning that our case had been transferred to CSC! We were so ecstatic, it was still a few hours before I had to be up for work but I was too excited to go back to sleep. We are feeling very lucky and blessed to have an adjudicator this morning who had their coffee and were in a chipper mood, or whatever the luck of the draw is.
Our bio appointment is ALSO this Friday, and then it'll be smooth sailing from there.
I feel so bad for those who still cannot see their status or don't have their appointment letters yet. Just bug the heck out of them. I would.
-
My husband still hasn't gotten a biometrics letter. Sheesh. I guess I'll have to call sometime soon. I don't really want to call but I think my husband is going to be the last person here in this thread to get a biometrics letter.
Wow.. you're far more patient than me. I would have been livid after 2 weeks. My New Jersian is showing, I suppose. Good luck, I hope it'll make them jump start your case.

Well that's good news! I can't imagine how much of a pain that must have been if you would've had to fly all over the place. Best of luck with whenever the interview actually is.
And congratulations to all those who received their GCs!
