  1. I am so frustrated at this point! Apparently they can't find my police clearance now. Our DS-230 was accepted but they are missing my police clearance EVEN THOUGH they have all my other vital documents. My police clearance was all in the same package. My husband was asked if we would like this reviewed by a supervisor...obviously yes, but to call back in 2-3 weeks. He will be calling everyday until something is done.

We are now 2 months into the NVC process....I feel so helpless.

  2. @ Heather&Matt - Your IV package was received by NVC on 10/22. Is your IV entered yet or not? Can you update you timeline please  or let us

    Check out the signature. B-)

We got an RFE. They weren't too up on the DS-260 process and now require us to fill out the DS-230 and resubmit it. I had to try and go back 6 months of visits to the United States and fill out a table. I finished that yesterday...I only did 6 months, as its impossible to fill out every visit I have made to the U.S.

I think we have to wait for our checklist to come in the mail before we can send it to NVC. It was apparently sent on Nov 10th, so any day now it should arrive.

  3. I just finished listing approximate visit dates to the U.S. for the last 6 months....I'm already at 3 pages. I've included a note about residing very close to the border and how alot of the trips were either just for a couple of hours and just overnight. I hope that is ok...there is no way I could list every visit to the U.S. in my lifetime.

  4. I was saying the same thing about an hour ago and so I just sent a request to Washington State Senator Patty Murray asking for help or information. Let's see if it does any good....I think an explanation is the least someone can do.

Let us know if this helps with speeding up the process. My husband's uncle knows someone in Congress (I think thats what it is, I'm not up on my American political terms yet) and said he would contact him if it would help us speed things along.

  5. RFE question...After speaking to an operator, we know what needs to be sent back to the NVC. Do we have to wait to get the checklist in the mail before re-sending the package?

p.s. Today just happens to be our 5 year dating anniversary, a day after our wedding date...it'll be a VERY good day when we can finally live together! 5 years of crossing the border is weighing heavy on us...

  7. I am so sorry to hear about your injury crying.gif sounds like a lot of pain...I ope you feel better soon. You should get someone to help you with your typing blink.gif

I thought about it, but managed to finish most of it late into the night.

Here are some suggestions for this from the Canada forum. Good luck!

    Listing Trips on DS-230

thanks, that helps alot...I think I'll just list my visits this month and last...I've included a note stating that we have been in a relationship for 5 years and live in close proximity to each other and that it is impossible to list every day. Also, sometimes I cross the border to shop or go to hockey games...it would be so tough to remember trips that I was there for a couple of hourse.

Should the Visa type and "A" number just state NONE or N/A?

You ditzy girl. :P How'd you managed to fall down the stair? I hope you feel better soon. Don't strain your arm too much to get this done quickly. Ask someone else to type for you.

Carrying too much stuff while at a client's home, slipped on the hardwood floors with all my stuff. Finished my session though

  8. another question....

#35. List all previous visits or residences to the U.S.

I visit my husband at least 2 times a week, sicne we live 30 minutes away from each other. Do I just list the months...even if I stayed one day??! Should I write a brief explanation of this on a seperate sheet of paper, and list the last 5 times I visited him....

  9. So we called NVC today, found out that they aren't too up on the DS-260 and we have to fill out the DS-230 and send it to them. So as I'm filing this out now, I have some questions:

#31a. Person named in 14 accompanying who will accompany you to the U.S.

-is it N/A since my husband is already in the U.S.?

#32. Past employments...I have to list them from the last ten years, I have the present 6 years accounted for but the last 4 is when I was in university..do I just put STUDENT?

#33. Schools...how far back to I go? Do they just want high school, university...or do I include elementary school?

  10. Since the NVC is closed today, my husband can't call to find out our RFE. He said he'll be trying to get through all day tomorrow. I'm trying to think what could be missing or what they may need. The one thing is my father's middle name debacle and the other may be due to that fact we did the DS-260. I don't know, I'm not going to stress over it as there is nothing we can do about it today.

  11. You can call and find out on which day they entered your AOS into the computer. For timeline purpose. Speaking of calling NVC, last night I made the unfortunate decision to call them at 19:00. I had to spam-call them 97 times before being connected. Never doing that again.

Well, I called the AVR on Thursday and it was still on the first stages (fee have been received) then I called Sunday night and the AVR said "biographical data..." So, through power of deduction, I'm assuming it was entered on Friday.
