Isnt that pic just of bacon, with no nationality?
Although I suppose that could be Canadian bacon too, since there is a big ol maple leaf on the package

So do you guys know what airlines usually has the best fare for US travels?
I did the same as J&J, crossed to Buffalo, then flew out of there once I saw how much cheaper the fares were travelling domestic. Delta and Continental did seem cheaper than the others, Id get to fly from Buffalo, NY to San Jose, CA for $200-250 round trip. Follow J&Js advice for farehunting, also check the aggrigator sites, Ive been using kayak.com but the others are ok too.
When crossing the border by land or air, bring ties to Canada, dont lie, but never ever give them more than they asked for when questioned.

Harveys isnt anything to write home about IMO, the patties are spiced weird, too much pepper or something
If Im eating from a chain, then Id choose almost anything else.

Outrageous. That's all I can say. They've had your passports for 2 months!!!??? And they haven't bothered to clarify? And having a lawyer hasn't helped?
I don't have advice. I'm just sorry for your situation.
C.
As far as I can tell, they dont answer to lawyers any better than they would answer you if doing it yourself.

Are you saying you're "Hip"?

Isnt General Polls the immediate superior to Captain Obvious?

Again, Apple ups the ante. Watch the rest follow.
As nice as it is, but I found the only improvement to really really like was the display, the rest was sorta meh, Im hoping the antenna placement improves call quality and reception, but with still being on AT&T, that remains to be seen, the videocalling is cool, but its iPhone to iPhone only, and only over WiFi, so for now at least, its pretty niche.
Whatever pace there is to follow, the lead is nowhere near as large as it once was, and shrinking daily.

Hello-
Once you are approved at your interview, is there anything you need to wait for before making your POE? My husband and I would LOVE to drive directly from Montreal to the US, but does he have to stay in Canada and wait for any paperwork to be mailed to him before making his POE?
If he needs to wait, how long does it usually take to receive everything he needs?
Thanks!
Essentially what Trailmix said. It has happened that you can pick up the visa the next day at the consulate, its VERY rare though, but it cant hurt to ask. When he is approved, the Interviewing officer will tell him that his visa will arrive within 2 weeks in the mail (your provided expresspost envelope), and because its affixed to his passport, which he will give them, you cant do much crossing until it arrives anyhow.
Good luck!

Okay actually I do have a vent.
My hives are coming back with a vengeance right now. For like 3 weeks I almost had 0 on my body, now they're all over the place... I need to find out when my husband can get medical insurance.
EEK! My Sister used to suffer from them something awful. Maybe there is a free clinic around? Look in the papers mebbe?
Reven!
Last night my husband and I were talking about something unimportant and random and he suddenly interjects, "well next year when we start to think about having a baby..." I'm like WHOA next year? Weren't you gonna ask me this first? I don't think so darling...
Emphasis on the bolded part, at least he only said "start to think" you can probably leave him at that phase for a year or 2 easy
Oh, and OMG ROFL! At the end of sex Reven!!
-
Actually they try to bite me, hence the 3rd picture
The trick with turtles is to treat them like raw chicken. You wash your hands after touching them and you don't put them in your mouth
So...always store them on the bottom shelf of the fridge so they dont drip and cross contaminate other food?
-
I know the wait sucks, Ive been there too, but its likely you are causing yourself even more stress by building yourself up and calling every day. Its like watching a toaster or a pot of water boiling, your perception slows down and it seems to take forever!
Id suggest checking no more than 2x a week if I thought you would heed the advice, focus on other things for a bit, and it will all come together for you

What if they are already a DD?
Augmentation could also cover fixing them if they are too droopy, and not just increasing overall size couldnt it?
-
I went to change my name on my SSN today, we waited an hour!
It was funny though, because the person who processed it hadn't seen the new green card yet, so when she excused herself to photocopy it and ask how to verify it, she said she took a magnifying glass and looked at all the presidents
Apparently there's more than 30 different holograms on it too, that kind of blew me away.
Thats weird, if its RFID capable, they should just be able to pass it over a reader to verify

The Canadian website info for importing your vehicle to Canada is pretty good, it's here:
Registrar of Imported Vehicles
Couple of other things, beside what Neiks mentioned:
You must fax the car documents to the US Border Services (at the port of entry you are crossing at) at least 48 hours before you go to enter Canada. Then you stop on the U.S. side and basically 'export' your vehicle.
So aside from the fees you pay at the Canadian border ($205) and the inspection, which is included in that cost (a short inspection that you have to have done at Canadian Tire) - in Alberta our vehicle also had to have a provincial inspection.
It all adds up - they check every single little thing. For instance one of our windshield wipers didn't sit quite right when it was turned off, so we had to have that repaired before they would pass it. So unless your vehicle is in tip top shape - honestly, it's probably not worth importing. However, check the Ontario rules for imported vehicles.
This is the kind of things they will check in an Ontario vehicle safety inspection.
The following items shall be inspected, and the motor vehicle shall be denied an SSC if:
In the body and interior:
a) any bumper, fender or mudguard has been removed or is mounted insecurely;
b) any body part has protruding sharp edges that could be hazardous to pedestrians or passengers;
c) any hood latch or passenger door does not operate as intended;
d) the driver's sun visor does not operate properly;
e) any occupant seat is insecure or fails to maintain its adjustment;
f) the inside and/or outside rearview mirrors are loose, cracked or have any significant reductions of the reflective surface, or the inside mirror (where required) is missing;
g) where required, the seat belt assemblies are missing, insecure, damaged, inoperative or do not function as intended;
h) the frame or any structural unitized member is broken or cracked; has any loose or missing connecting fasteners; or is perforated with rust that could downgrade the safety of the vehicle; or
i) The underbody, including the trunk floor pan, is perforated by rust or damaged or has any opening that may allow entry of exhaust gas.
Glazing
a) any glass, where required, is other than safety glass;
b) any glazing material has exposed sharp edges, a missing part or is insecure;
c) any safety glass in the windshield, or to the left or right of the driver, has been replaced with any vision-obstructing material, or is clouded or fogged so as to affect the driver's vision;
d) the windshield has any star, crack or stone chip in the area swept by the driver's wiper blade that could affect the driver's vision; or
e) the driver's window does not open freely.
Lighting and Electrical
a) any prescribed lamp fails to operate or interferes with any other circuit;
b) any turn signal indicator lamp fails to operate properly;
c) any lamp or reflector is loose or missing in whole or in part, or is discoloured;

e) any headlamp shutter or retracting headlamp fails to operate properly or is not secured in the fully-open position;
f) any headlamp is aligned incorrectly;
g) the headlamp dimmer switch or high-beam indicating light fails to operate as intended;
h) the horn fails to operate or is insecure on its mount;
i) the windshield wiper/washer assemblies and the heating and defrosting systems do not function as originally intended;
j) where originally fitted, the neutral safety switch has been removed or allows the starter motor to operate in any other than the neutral and park positions; or
k) the speedometer is not in good working order.
"Prescribed Lights" is the phrase used to cover the lighting requirements of vehicles for the purposes of the HTA, and applies to all vehicles, including passenger cars, light and heavy trucks and trailers. "Prescribed Lights" vary with vehicle dimensions and include the lights listed below:
Headlamps: no more than four, and shall be white or amber in colour;
Turn signals: shall be self illuminating;
Stop lights: shall be red or yellow in colour;
Tail Lights: shall be red in colour;
Licence plate: rear plate must be illuminated by a white light;
Reflectors: shall be red in colour, located at the rear and as close as practical to the outside of the vehicle body (most tail light lenses incorporate a reflective lens in their construction); and
Side markers: one on each side near the front, green or amber in colour, and one on each side near the rear, red in colour.
NOTE: Although side marker lights are not required for certification of a motor vehicle with a length of 6.1 metres (20 feet) or less, the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) requires all vehicles manufactured on or after January 1, 1971, to be equipped with side marker lights.
Engine and Controls
a) with the engine running, there is any visible leakage in the fuel system (the fuel tank does not have to be filled before inspection for leaks);

Sprail, I really cant blame you at all for refusing the "friend". NO was the right answer. You built your life, matured, and left behind a group that were moving towards a dead end. It was awfully selfish and presumptuous of him to even ask you for a favour of that magnitude. Hes basically asking you to put yourself and family at risk because he wants to be a drifter, what a selfish a$hole.
You shouldnt feel bad at all, he simply wanted to take advantage of you.
It took me a while to realize that some of my friends were dead ends too, happy to party it up, blow your whole paycheque at the bars in 2 nights, then work the week at a min wage job to do it again. I moved away from them to Ontario at 26, forced me to grow up finally, Im not proud it took so long, but at least I did, they still havnt.
Huggles, if its not bothering anything, maybe leave it be for now, worst case it will move on as weather changes, but more likely it will get bored before that. If its bothering you a lot, call animal services, it will go to a pound, but they will also check it for a chip, which you cant see, and that would have owner/address information on it. I dont know how long they keep them for though, but I think eventually they do put them to sleep. Dont feed it though, it wont ever leave! If its real hungry it will go find food, home or elsewhere.

You do remember your guy was preaching to us how Islands might capsize? Stupid knows no boundaries, theres no need to get all left and right on us.
while I agree with your sentiment, I actually didnt get the vibe he was comparing or saying liberal was better (there was no mention at all of liberals/Demo's) I just got the impression he was making an observation, albeit with a too broad brush.
