  1. Congrats A + M kicking.gif!! Updating approval smile.png Would you provide exact dates for RFE if you can?

    Thanks, Yurika & Jim.

I'm not 100% certain but I think we received the RFE on July 29 and responded to it on August 3.

    Hi A + M,

Can you tell us what evidence you sent it and the reason why you received a RFE???

    Thanks!! smile.png

    Hi amherst6!

USCIS asked for more documentation of a bona fide marriage (more tax return papers).

  2. Always book plane tickets in your passport name. You'll need your extension letter but I've also read that you shouldn't travel until you've had your biometrics done.

I did my biometrics over 8 months ago. My extension letter says I'm authorized employment and travel. I need my European passport to travel inside US? I bought my plane ticket already. It is in my married name. Can someone please confirm or deny what NikiR wrote? Thanks!

  3. Hello! smile.png I have a quick question for you guys. blush.png

I'm a conditional permanent resident. My I-751 is currently pending. My conditional resident status was extended for a period of one year. Me and my husband are planning a vacation inside US this summer. What documents will I need while traveling? My expired conditional GC? My extension letter? My state ID? My European passport? In what name should I book my plane ticket? In my maiden name (as shown in my European passport)? Or in my married name (as shown on my state ID)?

    Thanks! blush.png

  4. wow.gif A little after 6PM today I received an awaited call back from USCIS. The IO calling was nearly incomprehensible due to a very thick accent. She asked for my application & alien number 3 times. She didn't know why she was calling me back. I explained to her what's happening and she said the person I spoke to earlier today gave me the wrong information and doesn't even work for USCIS. blink.png She said she doesn't understand what the reason for my inquiry is as our petition is still well within the CSC processing time. I said the USCIS website, that was updated in April 2013, says something else and she pretty much called me a liar and said the USCIS website wasn't updated in years. blink.png She then said to call back in another 6 months, wished me a good day and hanged up on me. blink.png What? huh.png I'm in disbelief!

  5. Hello & Happy Hump Day everyone! smile.png

Congratulations on all the recent approvals, Octoberians! kicking.gif

Me & my hubby filed a petition to remove conditions on permanent residence based on marriage with CSC back in October 2012. Today, after a very long time, I checked the USCIS website that says the CSC processing time is 6 months again (the last time I checked it said it was 7.3 months). We patiently waited for over 8 months now. I became curious and decided to give USCIS a call. blink.pngblush.png The operator with whom I spoke to was extremely courteous and helpful and provided excellent customer service. She said our petition was approved long ago. huh.png She also said she's uncertain why we didn't receive our approval yet. huh.png At the very end, she took my information and said to wait for a call back (3-5 business days).
