TonyCH got a reaction from Kerala in F4 - CSPA Interview Experience - (APPROVED)
    Hello all,

I've gotten great help from everyone here, so I want to share my interview experience, in hope that it helps somewhat to those of you waiting.

    Location: Skopje, Macedonia
We picked up our medical results at 7AM from the hospital, and went to the embassy at 8AM for our interview. We were the first in the list to be called, so we walked in to an empty embassy interview hall. A nice guy helped us arrange all of our documents, and soon after 10 minutes, we got called to hand out the prepared documents. The guy took our fingerprints, and asked us if we have any valid visas. At this point I also saw that he has a CSPA worksheet for me, which had all the details of when the case was sent and approved, along with the last row, saying "QUALIFIES".
After being done here, we were seated again, and waited for the interview with the consul. We got called 10 minutes after, we approached the window, and we were asked to raise our right hand, and swear to tell the truth.
Then my mom was asked only 3 questions:
    1. Who's applying for your immigration petition?
    2. Where does he live?
    3. What does he do?

And the last question was for all of us (me, my mom and dad):
    4. Have you ever committed any crime?

After this, he said, thank you, your visas have been approved and we will call you within the next two weeks to pick them up. Have a good life in the US.

No one at any time mentioned anything about my age (i'm currently 24, about to be 25. But my CSPA age is 19). The only thing that i glimpsed was the CSPA Worksheet.

Everyone at the embassy was really warm and really made you feel like there were there to help you and not cause issues.

Overall, the best possible experience we could have hoped for.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

Your age froze when the priority date became current. Hence, you'll be fine.

    Guys,

Why are we going to full-on detective work as soon as someone mentions AOS while on B1/2 or VWP. Just tell them the facts, yes you can as long as you didn't seek entry with that intent and let's move on. Every thread has the same people going knees deep into if it's a good practice or not. We don't get to decide that, it's legal, it sucks that many of us had to wait outside, but if there's someone that doesn't have to wait, good for them, one less of us to suffer the long wait.

SSN cards come very fast anyway. If you checked the box on the ds260 you’ll probably find it’s already in the works when you visit the SSA office, sometimes they will give you your number while you’re waiting for the card.

    Hello,

Correct you do qualify for CSPA if the information you've provided is correct. Please tell us, where is your case now, have you finished with NVC? Is your case scheduled for interview? -- depending where your case is there are different actions you should take to ensure you get considered under CSPA.

    Hello,

No worries, as this is a somewhat expected scenario, think what would have happened if your passport expired, instead of being damaged. Once your case is approved and sent to the NVC, you'll send a copy of the picture/biographic page to the NVC along with other needed documents. You're fine, don't worry
