Hello,

Me and parents are entering at JFK in 2 days, with our F4 visas. I already have a job (i'm transferring from our home country office to the NYC office), but i'm confused about the SSN. I plan to visit the SSA office immediately after arrival and apply for my SSN, is there some premium fee i can pay to expedite it?

Also I'm 25, where would I register for Selective Service for the Army. I know it's a requirement, but not sure where I am supposed to register.

Anything else I should be aware?

Thanks in advance.

SSN cards come very fast anyway. If you checked the box on the ds260 you’ll probably find it’s already in the works when you visit the SSA office, sometimes they will give you your number while you’re waiting for the card.

You can register online for selective service https://www.sss.gov/Home/registration
