I had similar experience,I changed embassys due to backlogs of immigrant interview cases at the previous embassy.It took a month before the review was finalized.Note:My case was already completed at Nvc for well 3months before I requested for the changes,am sure the development prolonged the final review since they had to process me all over again to my new embassy.Yeah, I sent a copy of my passport bio data page confirming my eligibility to be processed through the new embassy.Since your case is still under completion at NVC then it shouldnt take more than 2weeks but ensure you send out the request to nvc@inquiry ASAP because it takes up to a week after the mail is sent to the time of acknowledgement of the receipt.I hope it helps

Thanks to everyone for the help so far...You guys are simply amazing most especially Damilola and Azu...However I have another question to ask,Please is there any possibility of exiting with IR? I started filing when my marriage was a little less than 2yrs old hence,I was placed on CR-1 category,Meanwhile ,my interview should be coming up in December by God's grace,if so I should be 2 and a half years old in marriage by then.Is there a possibility of getting IR by then? I have read a lot of conflicting reports on this.Some says yes it is possible whilst others says not possible.Would be glad to have anybody with similar experience on board to respond to this or anybody who knows anyone that has successfully done this.If yes at what point ,POE or Usembassy ?Thanks in advance.

The cost of Medicals is around about $270 which is 380ghana cedis at Akai clinic Osu which is one of the approved medical center by the usembassy Accra,you may reach them on 0302763821 for further clarifications if you are calling from the states then it should be dialled as 011233302763821.The cost of police report is 20cedis which is about $14 but you may have to give those guys some tips if you care to get it the same day or a day after and that may cost you another $14 but the official rate is $14.5cedis for passport photogragh and 15cedis for the cost,Note:Everything will be done there so dont bother going with any passport photogragh.It will take a little less than 2wks to get if you decide to go the official way.The location is at Police HQ,Sankara it is about 150meters away from Canadian embassy,Accra.Hope it helps

Yes,usembassy in Accra is severely backlogged.Judging by the recent trend of the happenings at the embassy and also by ur claims then, u should expect your interview from June,2011 as long as NVC completed ur case in May.However,ensure you wait for an interview instructions b4 making any plans or arrangement to have ur medicals done,Akai clinics at Osu is one at the approved medical centres in Ghana.You can reach them on:0302784772,I think it will cost u 380Ghc.All the best

I suggest you file directly from the states since it appears that you can easily go to Ghana for a visit.I have lived in Ghana before;You must work in an organisation or a student before resident permit is granted.However,due to back log of immigrant interview cases in Ghana at the moment I suggest you file through Nigeria else it will take almost 2years to have an interview in Ghana.If Nigeria allows DCF then it is a better place to do it.Lastly,you must be living and working in the states before you can file,it is also good you get married in Nigeria as to facilitate the easy processing of the case.If you are self-employed which I think you her then keep paying him a visit in btw the filling until he joins you that way, you wont miss each other so much.
