I was wondering if there is somebody following this tread.

I am a N-400 December 2013 filer. (My priority date is 12/30/2013).

I had the interview for naturalization on July 21st 2014 (26 Federal Plaza - Manhattan), and I was recommended for approval

Since the date of my interview I did no receive any new information.

Becuase is already more than 1 month, I am worried about my case.

Is somebody else in the same situation?. I know that Manhattan Office is very behind on the applications for Naturalization.

Can somebody give some advice?.

I am happy to help. What is your status saying now? Are you in Queue yet for Oath taking? or nothing at all? Either way, just stay calm, you should be getting an update soon. Since your field office is backlogged then there is no cause for alarm. I know the wait kills because I have been there but the journey will finally end. Hang in there!

IF anyone is still updating this.. Just wanted to let everyone know i finally got my interview today. Passed it.. then had the oath a few hours after it. Interview was smooth. The man i had was very "to the point" and got right into the application. Went over everything as normal. Then moved to the civics test.

1)who signed the D.I.?

2)Who is the commander in chief?

3)What political party is the president?

4)What are the main political parties?

5)name 3 original colonies.

6)who was the president during WW1?

Reading was: "who elects the congress?"

written was : "the people elect congress"

After he said i was approved, i went and asked him how many actually fails... he said many people will try to get medical exempt for alzheimers etc so they dont have to study.. Lots of doctors signing off on papers that they shouldnt be so people dont have to study. Lazy... He said he passes about 97% of his interviews. Anyways.. Oath ceramony was quick.. 31 people. Now im a citizen!!!

Whats the next step? Do i go to the post office and apply for a passport with my naturalization certificate?

I just got back from my interview. God made it a smooth sailing Experience because I was approved on the spot. Unfortunately, I could not take my oath today. I was told to wait for the Oath letter in the mail. I am currently not in an hurry for anything for now since I am not traveling anywhere anytime soon. I am glad that the hardest part of the journey is finally over. All glory be to God the giver of all things. I will keep you guys updated about the Oath day. Stay blessed. Special thanks to all of you for all the supports throughout the years and most especially the N400 December Filers. I am indeed grateful.

Congrats nouou11 on getting your Oath date letter, Must have been very exciting to finally see the end to a never ending journey LOL!!! Atlanta has been a parking lot throughout the entire process and I am grateful to God that I am finally getting there after 6 whole months of never ending wait LOL. Yes, Atlanta does have same day Oath ceremony. I will keep you guys posted.

Got my yellow letter today asking to bring in some additional documents however i didn't received a date for interview.

What you got was not the actual interview letter. Call it a pre interview letter. It is only meant to prepare you for the actual interview letter. The actual interview letter carries the date and time and you should also be notified through the online platform provided you signed up for it. What you have now is the much talked about "Yellow letter". Be at peace because the actual letter will soon be in the mail. Smile !

I was thinking the same but I only had like a week notice lol. So I've been studying everyday. Even though I was given the option of choosing my dates I had to choose one of the soonest to allow me enough time to get a passport before March.

Your N-400 was accepted by the lockbox on December 19, 2013, and receipt number NBC*xxxxxxxxx was assigned. The application will be sent to the National Benefits Center for further processing.

You can follow the progress of this application/petition by visiting our website, www.uscis.gov/tools, and clicking on Check your case status online. If you need additional assistance you can call USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283 or use the InfoPass system on our website to make an appointment at your local USCIS office. Once a petition has been accepted, the Lockbox has no information on the adjudication process.

Hey guys - I am so relieved! I'm glad I had sent an email to the Lockbox Support people in Lewisville on the 15th inquiring about the mistake the clerk made in my envelope.

They just replied to my email (!!!) saying they did receive it yesterday, and telling me the case number it was assigned, and also saying they will forward it to the National Benefits Center for further processing. Where/what is the NBC? - I forgot.

Oh just checked, and check was also cashed today. Updating status below.

Yay! Talk about efficiency!... I'm happy they have their stuff together and it seems my case won't really be delayed!

Not sure about this. I am sure other members will lend you their supports shortly. I arrived here back in the day on IR1 10 year GC so I didnt go through any of those offices. I am hoping that they will let it slide if only they can just open the package and not be too lazy to immediately re route it to the AOS unit. I am truly sorry but I am going to be praying for you for a positive outcome.
