  1. you will be present your 2010 tax returns.. no need for you to worry about the 2011 yet.. co sponsor is needed when the income is 125% under the poverty line.

    Hey all,

I'm a U.S. Citizen currently going through the K-1 Visa process with a Brazilian citizen, should be receiving the NOA2 anyday now. Right now, trying to see if a co-sponsor would be needed to complete the visa process. Right now, I'm currently working a full-time job which will most likely be ending at the end of July 2011. I do not have a job lined up untill October 2011. I made around $37,000 in 2010. I have $20,000 in savings, plus a $10,000 savings bond. I am only sponsoring one person, my fiancee, through the visa process. Do you think a Co-sponsor will be needed?

  2. I will assume you are looking to process/request a K-1 visa for your fiance? or what type of services you need?

Money is really tight everywhere and if you can save it by doing it yourself this is the right site. As long as you and your fiance status require no special attention.

This is the site and people that can guide you. You will need to dedicate some good time to read thought and ask as many questions.. Many will give you answers but it requires dedication from you..

Hello, I live north of Boston and would like a recommendation of an immigration service. I see many offering this service (especially on this site). I am on a tight budget, so cost is also a factor. I am not sure how important having a local service is. Perhaps it is not. My fiance lives in the Philippines. thanks!

  3. In other countries the information provided was different and the "updates" we are getting now was known prior.. {why} because we have relatives in other places.. In any event, it was also mentioned, in Brazil, the US troops did not kill Osama, it was one of his guards as it was honorable for him to die by hand of his guards than the "enemy" of course all speculations maybe?

and yes, i want to see pictures, not the PS or any other pos-edited graphic from my grandparents album but from the US President, I/We have the right as a USC to close this chapter..

UPDATE-- (1) OBL did NOT use his wife as a shield . (2) OBL was unarmed when he was shot . (3 ) No shots were fired from those inside the house (apparently unarmed ) .

  4. I assembled my package with a letter of submission per application along with copies of the require supporting documentation. I didn't care if it was repetition but i rather make extra copies than missing information and get an RFE. no paper clip on my part.. i didn't want an RFE to come back because a page got lost..

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to assemble the packet for adjustment of status??? Should I use paperclips for each section with supporting evidence, staples for tax returns, etc, flag/tab certain sections or just put a binder clip on the whole thing??? Not sure what to do! I feel like the I129F was easier to organize!!!

    THANKS!

  5. I think the most ignorant [not in an offensive way] statement we can make is comment that Hedoesn't love her or planning future breakup when thinking about pre-nup.People, let's have caution in how we reasoning our thoughts, sometimes we domore damage than help.

BridAbroad has brought excellent points that none of us have consider when commenting on this matter. Webecame extremely offended and the topic turns very personal, possibly due to prior experiences. But we are notthe people wearing those shoes at the moment and perhaps your personal case is not theirs.

Let's be extreme careful in how we use our comments for thebenefit of their future marriage.

by the way, pushbrk comment is also on point as many others in this blog...

  6. I did not sent any originalsupporting documents and did not notarize any of the copies or applications wepresented either in the second set of applications my fiancée presented priorinterview. She did have the originals on hand [for the just in case], butwas never an issue..

Is the embassy asking for a certified document? If they are asking I will not question it and will do it.. will make your process less stressful.

  7. The most important document you will need is a brown package you will received from the embassy - Which she MUST NOT OPEN.. That package will be given to the IO at the POE along with your passport and the I-94 as mentioned above. After that, she will be taken to another office for processing and stamps.. Good luck

  8. I agree with most of the comments mentioned above.. But if your fiancée[He is not your boyfriend anymore] is looking for you to sign an pre-maritalagreement, I will think his legal right, for which ever reason he mayhave.

Now, I will hope since you who is the one that has left everythingbehind [family, friends, work, etc, etc] to start a new life aside him has alsoa legal right to review and agree with the content in this agreement. I am notsaying you deserve or not half of his assets, but at least a way of gettingyour feet in the right place if somehow the marriage ends.

There are many ways of drawing a prenuptial.. If I was you, Iwill seek for legal consult, I think is proper..

    [just my opinion]

  9. Since some of the birth certificates require additional "attention", it could be best for a third party to process and edit the translation. These individual or firms are licensed and provide a certified legal copy of your document. Perhaps, the additional expense will bring some ease to your process.

When we processed the documents for my wife [then fiancee], we decided to pay a firm to do all the translations [bC, College Degree and other legal docs]

    Good luck

  10. If you are a US Citizen, she can come with you since she is your wife.. If she is traveling by herself legal resident, or in a K1, CR type of visa, she can use the Permanent Resident Line..

There are two lines - one for "US citizen/Permanent Residents" and another for "other visa". My wife is coming to United States. Which line she should be on? I would appreciate for your input. thanks in advance

  11. Dates are just part of the protocol. We are not bound to leave the country the day we posted on the AP application. You will be find in providing an expected/intended date.

    Best of luck

Thanks for your reply! We are definitely applying for it (even if it's not needed), but do you think the date of the intended trip on the form matters? If something happens, and he has to leave the country a few months before the January trip date I'm putting on the application, would it still be valid to use whenever? I'm not sure how APs work.

  12. Options to return as long as the person doesn't have immigration records is applying for B1/B2 visas..

If you are found and deported, then the case is totally different and your chances to obtain the above visas are almost null. the above posting provides the ban rules if found and processed by immigration.

If you are in the US illegally, having snuck in and wish to leave and return legally what are the options and also if you are found and deported is there no way you will be allowed back legally?

  13. When i submitted my wife's AOS, i applied for AP as i was considering the honeymoon. I was "considering it" but didn't happen at the time planned. The GC came on time and never had any use for the AP. Is not bad to apply for it, for the just in case situation.

I've read that it's suggested that everyone fill out an AP form (even if there isn't a trip on the horizon) in case of a family emergency or an urgent need to go home without advanced notice. I'm filling this out and I'm not sure what to put for the specific trip questions. Does it matter what you put here? If we put January (our next planned trip overseas), then something happens and he has to visit home before then, will the AP still be valid or is there a time stamp on them depending on what you put on this form?

    Thanks for your help.
