  1. I just wanted to give your all my opinion on what is going on. Below is my timeline for approval of I-130 and GC though F2A:

    US Entry : 12/19/2003 on F-1

Marriage : 03/07/2006 Married an person who was in process of getting GC

I-130 Sent : 08/15/2006Applied as soon as he got his GC, According to USCIS -Vermont office was approving I-130 applications within 6 months, But for our luck the Approval adata of I-130 for F2A category remained January 2006 for about 3 and half years. No aaplications were approved from that office for a long time.

    I-130 NOA1 : 08/30/2006

I-130 Transferred from Vermont Center to Texas Center 05/11/2009 After the transfer from Vermont to Texas Center the approval time was less than 5 months, but still no luck. All the applications from 2008 were getting approved (source VJ) while our applications from 2006 and 2007 were lost somewhere "in some boxes" collecting dust.

    I-130 Touched on 12/05/2009, on March 2010

I-130 Approved : 03/29/2010 After months of calls (telling us to call back) they opened a ticket to inquire about our case (told us to wait another 60 days) after waiting, called them again and sent an email to main USCIS office and finally our case was found and approved.

I heard many people like me from 2006 and 2007 that they had a nightmare trying to find out what was happening with their case and getting them approved.

On the other hand, other applications from 2008 and 2009 moved fast into the pipeline especially the ones from California center. The approved I-130s from 2008 and 2009 were sent to DOS/NVC (but they had not receieved 2006 and 2007 yet) so their F2A Priority Dates moved fast past those unapproved applications from 2006 and 2007.

While I was still waiting for my I-130 to get approved I saw priority dates moving 4, 6 months at a time, and I just could not believe my eyes. It really seemed unfair waiting for 3.5 years and nothing while others who aplied a year or so already had their NVC process started.

So after all the I-130 from 2006 and 2007 were approved and sent for processing to NVC, they had no choice but to stop processing of the "newer cases" and start processing visas with priority dates from 2007. Thus we see today retrogression of priority dates.

I think the retrogression happened cuz maybe they needed the money , you had such a long wait wow

  2. Deshi bhai,

My son was born in Sep/2010..since then havent seen yet. I can feel the pain too. But i cannot hide the truth that i have to wait till become citizen no matter my pd is current or not...The only way you can beat the BD USEM by USC spouse category other than they will put you in hold any reason( NO GUARANTEE).

I think you should submit your USC certificate at interview time...GOOD LUCK!!!

You guys made me cryyy, hope and pray march bulletin will move somehow for us

  3. Is the sister a UK citizen? If so, no visa needed.

If not, she will need to show strong ties to the UK, ie reasons she will return- enrollment in university, close family, letter from employer, owning property or a business, bank accounts.

Do nt book until she gets the visa, as she may be denied.

thanks so much, she is not actually a uk citizen. she is married to uk citizen ( but she is not yet citizen). both her and her husband works , she have bank accounts too .do you know if there somewhere in forum invitation letter sample so i can send it to her with AOS. thanks a lotttt

  4. Hi everyone,

Its possible for anyone to let me know what documents are required to get a tourist visa to come to usa? my sister is in London and she would like to come to visits for a week or so, and also wanna ask its true that before the intereview appt airplane tickets needs to be booked?? i was looking at embbassy web but didnt speciefies what doc exatly are needed.

    thanks in advance

  5. The new visa bulletin is out. The cut off date is still at Jan 08. It seems they did not process all the people of 07. In June 2010 the dates jumped ahead more than a year. I hope after these applications have been processed the dates will advance again.

It is really sad that a country like the US is that incompetent in handling such a simple matter.

i just singed too :0, noone will hear us :(

  6. The NVC is unable to schedule interview, as it is not current by the cut-off dates established by the Department of State. There is no visa number available according to this file's priority date under this visa category.

The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, as amended, controls visa categories, priority dates, and the availability of visa numbers. The petition will be retained at the NVC until a visa number is available. The petitioner, beneficiary, or attorney of record will be notified when further consideration can be given to processing this petition.

    We all get FF***ked.

That what they told you, this is insane

  7. mr. blu,

I have been talking to several NVC operator to see if I can get real answer for Visa number has been attached to my case. When i asked, Please can you tell me if Visa number has been assigned to my case yet? then they hold me for couple of munite and reply that SIR YOUR VISA NUMBER IS VAILABLE!! Unfortunately that was not my answer for the question I made. I think they look at computer go for december visa bulletin & answered that visa number available. They cannot provide specific information or they dont have avaialble in their system. I wish i know someone in person who work for SERCO!!!!!

ughhh, some of the operators they seemed to be sometimes retarded

  8. Hi I am one of those who thought we could bring our families early next year but then Visa Retrogression happened.

My main question or topic I wanted to be clarified at is the relationship of fiscal year starting October to the recent Retrogression.

If my previous researches were true, then is it safe to imply that just after 2 months after the start of a NEW fiscal year last October, visas are no longer available? Does this mean that we have to wait for October for a new batch of visas?

    f2A

i Thought about too, im not sure if true or not.

  10. If your husband's case already assigned visa# then its nothing to do with retrogression. Retrogression only for those whose visa number hasn't been assigned yet. I think you good to go. I also suggest you to ask different operator about your visa number for extra sure

    Can anyone ex[lain this ???

Is these gonna be the dates for us with PD???

  11. I know how u feel because 'til now i keep on crying whenever the retrogression crossed my mind... But that's life i guess, we can't do something about it... What we need to do right now is just face and accept the reality, i know that God has plans for us... Let's hope for the best next month, may our PD already current in the February Visa Bulletin... May God Bless us and give us enough strength for us to overcome this trial that we are going through...

This is insane seriosly ... SO MAD with them .

I spoke with NVC yesterday she said that they were still scheduling for January but seemsed January filled up alreadyy.

I think NVC needed $$$$ and now they will put us on hold until other people with PD 2008 are schedule . Keep us postedd VJ FAmily

  12. I am from Pakistan. My Maternal Grandfather is a citizen of USA.He applied for our US immigration in Nov 2002.Last week we received a letter from NVC about fee which was 88 US$.My mothers Uncle who is also living in US paid it because that letter was sent by NVC to him.after the fee payment,My mother uncle sent that letter to us here Pakistan.that letter was DS-3032.we filled it and sent it back to NVC two days ago.

Now the problem is that we sent the DS 3032 via registry(Registery is a process in Pakistan of sending documents in a cheaper way and it takes almost three months to reach NVC)

we realized that the document will reach the NVC in a very long time via REGISTRY so than we sent another copy of DS 3032 via urgent mail service (faster way of sending documents)

we sent both DS 3032 at the same day

Now they will receive two DS 3032 from the same address.will they object on this situation or not????

second thing i want to know that how much time is left for us to go to US now that we have send the DS 3032.It was written on DS 3032 that it will take approximately 9 months or 1 year.

and third question is that what will happen after they will receive DS 3032.what is the next stage and procedure after DS-3032.

    THANK YOU!!!

the petitioner/Beneficiary can email NVC a copy of Ds3032, it will speed up the process for other paper work.

It will not be a problem i think if they with recieved twice (my thought).
