I'm having problems with that since i have to fill the city and country where i live, my parents live and were born, then when the street is asked for

So in all of them is the same problem...it appears like Palma de Mallorca,Sp or Palma de Mallorca, Spai (instead Palma de Mallorca,Spain) or Illes Balear(instead Illes Balears)....

What should i do (the PDF don't let change the size of the letters)

I've been reading in the guides i should of write my first last name/family name (that's my father's) and clarify in cover letter my whole name with the two last names since i'm from a latin country (Spain)...

So my questions actually are:

1. It is ok of MY NAME writing in FAMILY NAME my FIRST LAST NAME and then in the cover letter clarify MY WHOLE NAME (2 LAST NAMES: FATHER AND MOTHER)

2. My mum hasn't same last name as my father (isn't a tradition change it in Spain) so basically it says FATHER---FAMILY NAME and MOTHER---(it goes straight to write something as Maiden name)...i just write my mum last name in Maiden name then right? Should i clarify somewhere else she hasn't changed her last names and which ones are hers?

3. Do i have to write my parent's two last names or just the first one? should i clarify somewhere else their two last names if i have to write just the first?

4. It would be ok writing both of them in the form (my two last names and my parents two last names) or attaching a paper to the form doing a note saying we have two last names since we're from Spain and what are those?

Hopefully i asked everything clear. Please people that went through the same thing being their fiance from a country where ppl use two last names successfully...could you help me? Thank youuuuuuu and merry xtmas

Yeh...we are starting filling as well... and in my case im the alien fiance so yeh...i've been in college and having lots of temporary jobs so i even had jobs of one day or one week...then some months unemployed but being student the whole time...

Anyway i think your fiance (thats what we've been talking and what i'm going to do) maybe should write unemployed when she has been unemployed since the final purpose of this section is know what kind of jobs the person has been working for...

Then she can attach a paper explaining some notes about the employment thing or some just say...in my situation i had one week or one day jobs sometimes but in the form is from month to month so i just write just say february to february but in the attached paper i explained was from day whatever to day whatever and i want to clarify the reason i had temporary jobs is because i'm student so i deal better with exam dates etc this way...

If i'm wrong someone tell us please.

I have my flight itineraries to USA in spanish i mean dates and destination of course are the same worldwide but stuff like departure or the day of the week or month are in spanish...

Can i translate them filling a paper where it says i know both languages? Do i have to notarize them?

By the way...i read the another day a topic talking about black or blue ink for signature in papers...How it is in the end?

We met online whatever date, then we met in person for some days in an event in Europe, still talking online then met whenever in USA and whenever he traveled to Spain and whenever (saying how many times as stamps in passport) i traveled to USA to spend time together in person.

Is that enough or gotta be into details of at least one of the times we met in person?

Yes, we have pictures in places like Universal studios, his boarding passes when he was visiting in LA, my dance studio receipts etc...the rest of time has in his place or mine so is way easier because we have lot of stuff regarding that...yeh...always we have less things of the very first when we were getting to know each other because we never thought we would be so in love and get that far but i think we have more than enough evidences etc so all will be good!

We met in the internet, then at a dance event in Europe after Europe we decided to start a relationship and some months after i went to the States to that dance studio i always wanted to go and he was visiting me in LA at weekends but not at the dance studio...then i went to Ohio and after that he went to Spain and me to Ohio like 2 times more for some months...That's all they need to know to understand why there are boarding passes to LA right? not details bout the studio or else so they can research there's nothing illegal regarding my visa waiver status back then

We're about to start with the filing and all the questions come all sudden ahahaha. We met in the internet and then met in person in Europe..i always wanted to go to a dance studio take some clases in LA so i went for one month and my boyfriend came every weekend there. Then the another two months i spent them with him... After that my another times in the US has been always in Ohio from the start to the end (where he lives)

So i guess when we send all the boarding passes etc will be some of me going to LA first and he visiting and then my boarding passes to Ohio - that was the period we were knowin each other better etc out from the internet-

So i remember that first time in USA i was stopped at the border going to secondary inspection because the dance studio thing...because they thought i had to apply for a students visa then i explained them is like if u go to a gym and take some classes and they let me go in...

My question is...do we have to clarify in the story bout how we met the name of the dance studio and that is like going to a gym take some classes that no student visa was needed? I don't want a confusing problem with immigration thinking same first thought border officer thought.

Hello everybody!!!

I'm about to start with the filling and i've been here and in USCIS and that site that USCIS links (something like goverment department of state or else). So basically i got a mess of information in my mind...

I've seen the dates of the guides in VJ are from 2006 (at least the post) but as i've seen in the forums lot of people have been using them successfully till now i guess...

So my question would be more to clarify that the guides on VJ are updated... I know it's kinda silly ask it but i'm very accurate into details and thousand check everything...i just want everything goes fine.

If you can find some answer from my story that's how it is...

I first talked to my boyfriend online, on myspace that was 2 years ago...we've been together as a couple for a year and a half and i'm from Spain...he has been twice there and i've been three times in the states for 3 months each time and this last 2 months. Now we'll be starting with the fiance visa after my departure in january and i can tell you mostly my mum hasn't been supportive even sent him an email saying that she would like us to break up because she didn't want see her family broken...but after all she's the one going to USA to met his parents this xtmas...

All i mean is that family needs the time because is a change for you and him and is a change for both families as well and mostly one of the families.

I can tell you that we talked about the fiance visa after 4 months being together but we decided that if we wanna get married we should know more each other and the families and know how it is living together because we just don't want a divorce. Has been hard and will be the waiting time like everybody but is going to worth it for sure.

You being canadian (as i got a friend that is married with an american and she's from Toronto) got more time to stay in the states (6 months) than someone from Europe. I don't know if you got the budget to do that and how is your work/study situation but why don't you try to stay that months living together? or if u wanna study something apply first for an students visa? or if your work got another office or related in USA transfer you there?

If not yeh, we thought as well the fiance visa is one of the best. Just take the time and let your family take the time but if you're 150% sure then quit the torcher and go ahead with it! after all is up to you guys and over all it has to be for the LOVE.

Thank you...yeah makes sense...anyway now thinkin bout it better...they're not forced to make u call boyfriend or girlfriend someone nowadays...maybe we're just been getting to know each other even can sleep together but u don't need to call boyfriend or girlfriend someone coz of that...so yeah we will get officially engaged during this trip so all the information we give will be honest...we first met 2 years ago and we'll be recently engaged by the time of filling...Btw...we decided to apply for it when i go back to my country since i have to end my bachelors in my country first.

2 days ago i was sent to a secondary inspection in the border going to USA. After one hour questions etc they let me go in with the visa waiver.

So now what happens to my file? am i banned for next times or red flagged or something? or since they let me go in is like i've never been in secondary inspection so i won't have problems in the future?

I have a question...coz of that can't sleep and spend the days crying because of that

I got into USA 2 days ago visit my boyfriend...I've already been this year another 3 months using the VW and come this time using VW as well...I called the embassy and even asked to a USA border officer if would be any problem for me to use the VW for 2 months after waiting 4 months not going to USA from my last visit and they told me no problem.

But yeah, i had a problem and i was sent to second inspection where the officer was checking my checked in bags and doing thousand of questions...One of the questions was: do you have a boyfriend? i was so scared to be sent back home and told them no and then they asked again and i said no. After one hour they let me go in the states. But when i was waiting in my boarding gate i broke down and cry like crazy because we are planning to apply for a k1 visa after i leave back to my country and i don't know if will be a problem or a reason of denial i told the officer i dont got a boyfriend. I wanna let you know i wrote his address (well, his parents address where he is living) in the papers to fill in the plane and ESTA.

Maybe we should of wait more to apply for the k1 since that happened?

I can't believe after all what we went through and all we are going to go through maybe it would be all ###### up and can't be with the man i love for life just because i said i don't got a boyfriend. Please i would be happy of an early reply.

Thanks for the 3 answers but what got me worried is if what happened will be a problem or a reason for a deny of the k-1 visa when i start with the process in 2-3 months and if we should wait couple of months more to start since that happened or isn't a problem at all since i went through etc

I went to USA visit my fiance yesterday. Gotta say i've been already in 2009 visiting him for 3 months but i waited 4 months since then to visit him again 2 months so i think for the words of another officer 5 months a year in total using visa waiver wasn't considering abusing doing the 3 months and later later on the 2...before get the flight tix of this trip i asked embassy and even a USA border officer if i would have any problem using my visa waiver again and telling them the days i stayed before and wanted to stay now and both said no problem.

But yeah...i had a problem...i was for one hour with this officer asking me questions while was checking all my bags (carry on and checked in) the officer did lots of questions that if i do that they would of send me back home like working, studying etc...and then was the question...do you got a boyfriend? and well, don't know if i did right or wrong but i said no and she insisted and i said no (i'm afraid if i just said yes i wouldn't b in USA right now) after all the questions etc she was in computer with my passport and checking in the internet an event i was going...i understand is her job but she wasn't in the mood saying isn't normal my english is good, that i bring evidences of ties in my country, that i bring a credit card....#######

So in the end...i got approved.

The thing is later i was all scared coz we're going to start with the fiance visa in january or february and i was thinking if would be a problem i said this officer i didn't got a boyfriend or would be a reason of deny my future visa...Maybe sounds kinda paranoic but i didn't got a nice trip yesterday and i don't want that after all we went through and are going to go through all mess up for what i said to that officer while was checking my bags...actually i think the officer was trying to check bout the purpose of my trip since i was 3 months and going back for 2.

So the question is that would be a problem or a reason for deny the visa? Should we wait couple of months more to start with the process since this happened?

By the way...in the green thing of the visa waiver of my passport says november to february. My fiance been askin me to stay longer then since in the green thing i could as it says february but i have my doubts coz i said in border in my country and american border i would stay for 2 months and since that problem happened i told him i don't know if it would be a good thing to do and he said me shouldn't be a problem since in the green thing i got permission to stay till february... could i stay like 88-89 days then or should i leave when i said? I know isn't a k-1 issue this last question but well, just in case someone knows.

Yup, i got looots of boarding passes since we've been together a year and a half and first time i was in USA i was at first for one month in another state to dance and he was visiting and after that two months in his place, then he has visited Spain twice and now in november i'm going back again so that's great coz the ones that u couldn't see so well were those going coast to coast to visit.

Me and my fiance are going to start with the K-1 and as all of you we want that the whole process goes without any trouble and as fast as possible.

Regarding the boarding passes.

Is necessary (i guess not but just in case) send every single boarding pass?

- I got a lot of them but there are some in paper of us airways that you can't barely see somethin of what's is written in there...there are just 3 boarding passes like that...the rest there are some that are a lil bit messed up but you can read what's in there or can read perfectly what's in there...

I overwrote with a black pen on those that u almost couldn't see some so, ok i overwrote in the words, numbers etc in the boarding pass but i guess comparing to a normal one you can tell i went over those 3 with the pen...but i think isn't a good idea send them just in case they say aren't valid for that reason...

Anyway i have all the itinerary and reservation code (the email you get when you buy the flight tix and confirmations) of all the flights but one i did when i was in an apartment in Cali and went visit my fiance in NYC.

I have as well the stamps of my passport so well, just know what you think about the boarding passes and if you got any extra advice about filling the K1.
