Hi everyone, I am new to VJ forums however have been reading this forum since reaching NVC back in October. Just wanted to say a huge thank you for keeping me sane through this time. Knowing that others are going through exactly the same helps me carry on. Pretty bugged today as I sent in my originals a bit later than my IV package and they haven't been added to the system yet which has resulted in an RFE - just holding on waiting for the NVC to open so I can call and find out what is going on! Congrats to everyone getting CC's at the mo!! Hoping mine will come in the next 2 weeks!

My husband (beneficiary) will travel to Greece tomorrow to submmit the request for the Police Certificate. Waiting on the interview date.

Ok Guys Spoke with NVC today, about the avr is saying that the docs are missing blah blah. This very very very nice NVC agent told me that the AOS was reviewed and cleared and what looks like the IV was scanned, but not reviewed yet, thus NVC computer system is waiting for the DS-230.

She told me that to wait 2 to 4 weeks for the review (The General answer they give to every one), but looking at the NVC tracker it takes roughly 7 - 10 days to SIF.

So some load off my shoulders that at least the AOS is cleared and if IV goes well i guess an SIF some time mid next week, Wooooooooooohoooooooooooo Party Time.

I spoke with a really nice operator just now and was told that our case is in the final stages of review and we should get case closed soon. She also said that a letter is being sent to my husband (beneficiary) requesting the Police Certificate from Greece (another country he lived in for 15 years) She also said that the case will be forwarded to the Embassy in Bucharest and that the Greek authorities will send the Police Certificate to the Embassy directly. Something new...so now we wait for CC and the letter requesting the PC.

Loto, just a few more hours for the interview I will be praying for you.

Got a CC today :dance: Could have been earlier since I literally waited a week from my SIF to call back due to the busy holiday. Operator over the phone informed me that there's definitely no chance of a December interview, but I was pretty aware of that. I just hope we get a January interview! Yay no RFE's!! I can rest now

Thanks but that's not going to happen. My P4 package is going to take at least 8 weeks. It will take the maximum possible amount of time just like everything else has. There's no going around this fact.

I spoke with NVC Operator tonight...nothing new for us. Didn't get CC but happy for the ones that moved up today. Congratulations.

Some update from me about the medical

My wife went to Appollo Heart Center at Chennai to do the medical today.

She had:

1) Appointment Letter

2) Passport

3) 3 Photos

4) Cash for medical

5) Prior vaccination records

She reached there at 8:45AM and entire procedure completed at 1:30PM. Though, she had all the vaccinations, they suggested the below and provided to her.

1) DTAP

2) Varicella

3) MMR

They also did her X-ray, blood test, physical checkup including the lab work.

The cost of entire procedure was Rs.4,800 (ball park $105). She can collect the report tomorrow afternoon after 3:30PM.

Medical was so easy!

She also went to FRRO, Chennai and collected child's Indian OCI (She beat my timeline here )

Uh im getting impatient. How long should the NOA1 take. Im signed up for email/text notification. Sent on the 16th Nov and check cashed on the 23rd. Its now been nearly two weeks and nothing!

NOA1 will come to you this week it's in the mail...don't count on the email/text notification. I never got one from them. Try to read other posts on here if you have time. It will give an idea of how long this process is. Good luck and patience will have to become your number one exercise through this long process.

The NVC received my response last friday. Will it take them the same amount of time to enter it in as it took them to enter my IV and AOS?

Response is usually one to two weeks after they receive your response from you. Hang in there you are almost done

I am still hopeful for you IS don't give up on us now.
