Congratulations to everyone that has moved up here
I have been sick lately and was not able to get on here. I feel better now. I hope that everyone will have a great holiday and an ever better new year.

I wanted to go be there with my husband as well but the cost is too much and I also did not want to use up all my vacation...
A little update...my husband received his PC from Greece, had it transalated in in English and will bring it with him at the interview.
He got an email from the Consulate that he needs to bring in another birth certificate because the one we submitted was laminated and they do not accept anything laminated, also new passport pictures without his eye glasses on.
For the interview he will take copies of everything that was sent to USCIS and NVC plus our pictures, chat logs, telephone bills and letter he received from me. I hope that will be enough.
Everything else is going as sheduled...
but plane tickets this time a year are a killer....

Ok I just called NVC and they have entered my original certificates on 10th Dec but they havent been reviewed yet. Woohoo great news. Just waiting for RFE from last week to be entered - he said call again in a week - or maybe Saturday as that is when 8days are up since NVC got packet in their mailroom. Finally feel like we are getting somewhere.
Been listening to a country song my husband sent me by Darryl Worley called 'Sounds Like Life To Me' this weekend. After a fab conversation with my fab husband he gave me the morale boost I needed (hadn't spoken to him in a week) and with this song now too - I am counting down the days till I see him (positive counting of course!!!). Thanks for all your kind words over the last few days - it is nice to be able to talk with people that understand this whole visa process and why we go through this!!
Got my fingers and eyes crossed for some more SIFs this week! Bring it on NVC!

Tabitha 4 medical the 3 pictures what size will they be? On the NVC website "Preparation for interview" they dont specify in the pdf doc. For Embassy i know we have to bring 2 of the 2x2 inches. What about the 3 ones for medical???

pictures for medical are the same as passaport picture size and style. I hope this helps -

My interview will be 19 January!!!! Ladydare pls call NVc, today is last day for January squed. The operator told us we barely made it!!SO HAPPPPPPPPY!!!!!

I asked about the time frame for RFE to process with NVC supervisor earlier. He told me that it's the same time frame as regular mail. The only thing different is they don't have to review photographs like other IV or AOS package which takes approx. 6-8 days.

I am at the hospital with my mother now. She was sitting up on the chair since 0700 hours. It's 1200 hours now. She will be discharged from this hospital today and admitted to a physical therapy rehab. Isn't it good news that they are confident she had made enough improvement to not be in hospital anymore? I think so. Please keep my mother in your du'a, prayers, thoughts. I assure you no matter what troubles you in life, mostly NVC/immigration, it will all work out at the end, eventually. Just keep at it. Remember to utilise your senators, congresspersons, Supervisor Sue, and Department of State headquarter contacts. You can also use Department of Homeland Security headquarters. May God give peace and solace to all.

Called NVC today regarding that i have still not received an email for the interview that is already scheduled. I was told it was just cleared, even though it was done on the 8th. Agent asked me to call back on Friday or Monday.
Any Ideas what may be going on? Also AVR now says that the case has been forward to London embassy and no to call them for any questions.

Congratulations on your interview
AVR said the same for me but can still ask them question. Last time I spoke with NVC I was told to call USEM Bucharest with questions. I did and they were quick to answer.

OK guys, Good luck to eveyone with varying stages of this process. I haven't been able to come online much since I left for Nepal end of November. I took the risk of traveling before my case was closed. I was scared sh*tless about RFE's especially when I saw malvika's posts. Malvi, good luck with the hiccups, though extremely frustrating!
Well fortunately, things worked out as planned. My case is closed and interview has been scheduled for 25th Jan!! It is so far away, another month and half? wow!!! trying to work with USEM in Kathmandu to move the date closer.
USEM has made medical exam a mandatory requirement for a huge fee ($127 in Kathmandu). This is not including them charging individually for vaccinations.
Any figures or such requirements in other countries? Should we post and compare notes if this is uniform across the board?
