  1. I was told to wait for the letter first before going to do the medicals because I think they send the results to them directly don't they?

Please do I have the correct email for Eleke LagosIV@state.gov

@ JOLEX who gave you that info that you need to wait for the interview date before medicals? .....i don;t really know the procedures and that is why i,m asking those that have been there......let me know please because i don;t want to send my fiancee all the way from East to Lagos and she get there, no medicals is done .

Does the Lagos Embassy ever reply to emails?....or just waste of time.

I have called DOS and i was told no interview date yet...though the file is in the system.

    HELP HERE

I heard on VJ that it is better to get a letter then flow the go and do your medicals even the VJ flowchart said

"*Some embassies require the medical the same day as the interview. Most require the interview to be done ahead of time and have the results sent to the embassy directly from the doctor.

*This may occur after an interview date is given."

    Can someone clarify please

  2. Keep calling!!!!!! We are still waiting for Pkg 3 to be sent to my fiance as NVC already sent our package to the embassy consulate. DHL said it was already delivered but they have not updated it in their system when i called them yesterday. Keep calling and ask for your case number each time if they have it. All the best!

  3. NVC sent package on Sept 15th according to the letter they sent to me and my understanding is it takes about 5 business days for them to receive it (Lagos Consulate). He hasnt heard anything from them and we are not sure whether to contact them or just wait for a call, email or postal mail from them. After waiting for 6.5 months at VSC, I just can't wait for all this to be over. Please advise. God Bless!

It took Lagos approximately 3-4 weeks after our case left NVC before we got notification that they entered our case into their system. I thought it took forever for them to enter the case information into their system after receiving it. We were given our packet via an email link from Lagos, which is the exact same as on their website and were able to complete all forms, exams, certificates, etc. from there. We finally have our interview date of Oct. 27, but we never received any "paper" documentation from Lagos. Lagos mentioned on their email that we could bring a copy of the email stating his interview date in lieu of the actual "paper" notification as his name will be on the interview list for that day.

I hope you found this information helpful, I know exactly what you are going through! This LONG wait is just too much to bear sometimes....drop me a message if I can help you with anything else....

Thank you so much. this is really helpful God bless you!

  4. My Package was sent to the embassy according to DOS on August 26, I called September 4th to find out if the embassy have gotten it after tracking it on DHL website and I did see it was received on August 31st, I was it's not on Lagos Consulate's record yet, I called back, i have emailed them a couple of times still nothing so you are your SO might have to wait a while because our consulate is one of the slow ones and according to what i heard they are working on DV Lottery interviews right now hence the delay. Just keep praying all will be well.

How did you track your package, did you ask NVC for DHL tracking #?

  6. Still gathering all our documents together to send to my fiance and wanted to find out if i need to send the same pictures I initially sent when I sent in the K1 application? I actually don't have the copies anymore and we dont have enough pictures, do you think this may be an issue?

The evidence you sent with the petition will still be with the petition when it reaches the Embassy/Consulate

That's what I thought but wasnt sure, many thanks!

  7. Hi guys! my fiancee will send our I-129F this week. we need to know if we should include EVIDENCE OF ONGOING RELATIONSHIP. the USCIS site does not include it in the requirements. i feel that we should include phone bills, letters, photos already and not be ask for RFE, right? thanks a lot! God bless!

    yes u should.

Documentary Proof of Having Met in Person in the Past Two Years and an Ongoing Relationship:

Use as many of these items are possible. There is no minimum,

but the more you can provide the less likely you are that you will receive an RFE.

    1. Copies of all airline boarding passes, train passes, itineraries, hotel receipts, passport stamps (make sure you can read the dates on the stamps), and other documentary evidence that you have met within the last two years. You may want to highlight or place post-it notes indicating the dates and locations on the copies (to make the adjudication easier) for the person reviewing your file.

    2. Color Photo's of you and your fiance(e) together. Make sure you write your names, date, and location on the back of every photo. Provide two to five photo's. If you only have a single copy of the photo, then make a color copy and send that. If it is a digital photo, have it printed at a company such as kodakgallery.com. You can also make duplicates of photo's at your local photo store (Walgreeens, CVS, etc). Place photo's in a plastic bag or photo sheet and label the sheet. Note that you may not receive originals of photo's back.

    3. The following items will not typically show proof of having met in the last two years however will show proof of an ongoing relationship: Copies of phone bills, cell phone bills, emails (you can edit personal info with a marker), letters (edit personal info also), stamps on the letters (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)

also check below link for more info about filing I-129F

    Good luck :)

God bless you for posting this for them. USCIS will not tell you in details what is required but they will send a letter if evidence are not complete. Thank God for VJ. All the best!

  8. I'm so excited I'm a mess

OMG I got the email today and looked at my case status on USCIS to confirm and yep its there!! Sept. 15= K1 APPROVED!! Thank you GOD :D:goofy::energy: We are in shock & ecstatic. I told him to start getting his stuff organized to prepare for next steps (i.e. police certificate etc.). It looks like me being so meticulous with all the paperwork in the very beginning has paid off (WITH ALOT OF LUCK). I'm SOOOO HAPPY!! One step closer to my honey I miss terribly. Speedy approval & blessings to all fellow VJ'ers.

    Kristie

P.S. I'm still trying to mentally prepare for evil AP since its PK

That was quick! so happy for you, I know the feeling...we had to wait for 198 days before approval so i'm so happy for your quick approval. All the best!

  9. I was wondering if I really need to send an entire copy of my I-129f packet, is this manditory or what? our interview is sept. 24, I have instructions from the embassy in manila and it does not say anything about a copy of the I-129f... as far as i know I will send her I-134 with suporting 1040's and bank statments, proof of relationship, Letter of intent to marry, copy of noa2, and proof of engagment. Am I missing anything?

Yes the package is necessary, did you make copies of all the documents you sent to USCIS? If you did, send all the documents and see KI-Visa Guidelines for additional documents or evidence. The guideline tells you everything you need to send. All the best!

  10. Hello,

I am wondering if western union receipts can be sent as evidence? I use calling cards that you buy at the store to call so it doesnt show any record besides the access code, However I do have emails.....

I have recently signed up for one of those online calling cards that shows the record of what number you called and how long you spoke for

Hi everyone I need help, me and my fiancée we communicated on the phone only constantly no email no webcam no chatting etc; because she don’t have computer. In the embassy are they going to ask us more evidence in our relationship or phone communication is enough; give me your ideas what you think.

    Thank you.

Two things come to my mind.

Is the Embassy in Kenya hard to get through? Is Kenya a high fraud country?

If it is, then in my opinion simple phone calls are not enough evidence of an ongoing relationship. You can have summaries of the calls but you have nothing that shows what you talked about. Maybe all you talked about is Green card fraud? I don't know. Maybe you talked about your love for each other? I don't know. How is a phone call summary sheet going to tell any story about your relationship.

I highly suggest you step up the correspondence and get some real evidence, that shows what you talk about and your love for each other and send some gifts and get receipts and then photos of them at the other end with that gift, all smiling and in love.

    Just my Opinion.

Please send everything you have as evidence, flight tickets, phone cards, photos, receipts of anything pertaining to you and her etc, these people are really unpredictable. All the best!

  11. At this point I really dont know what to do next but will call NVC, just got our letter of approval yesterday in the mail. We listed Abuja as the local consulate because my fiance is in Kaduna. Any ideas on what to do at this point..... HELP please.

You do not choose consulate in most countries, certainly not Nigeria. Lagos is the only consulate issuing K visas in Nigeria.

As mentioned in your previous threads, you will need to study the process very thoroughly to be successful in Lagos, it is perhaps the world's most difficult consulate, certainly in a class by itself, as is the visa fraud in that country. They will be very particular about what evidence you provide.

    Good luck.

    Thank you all

NVC authomatically knows that Lagos is the only consulate that process K1-Visa and would be sent there even if you accidently put Abuja, Nigeria as the Local Consulate like we did. ;0

  12. Our KI Visa was approved 09/08/2009 thank God and NVC is processing it already. I am trying to gather what I'm going to send to my fiance and it includes a letter signed from my employer according to the KI Flowchart

It must include job title, start date, salary and status (full-time) of your position

Now my question is does it have to include the Lagos address just like the example (Fiance Letter of Intent) below

    Fiancé Letter of Intent

    (petitioner’s / beneficiary’s address)

United States Department of Homeland Security

    U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

    (USCIS service center address)

    or when submitting for interview

    United States Department of State

United States Consulate, [name of country where Embassy is located]

    [Embassy Address]

    (date mm-dd-yyyy)

    Dear Sir or Madam:

I, (applicant’s or beneficiary’s name) , do hereby state that I am legally able and willing to marry (petitioner’s or beneficiary’s name), and intend to do so within 90 days of my arrival into the US using the K-1 visa.

    Yours truly,

    (signature)

    ( print name)

    I didn't on mine.

Thank you all I really appreciate it

  13. Please excuse if the answer to my question has been covered on some prior post or forum- i figured i would just ask and see if i can get the answer.....

i just got my NOA2 and it got forwarded to NVC. my question is- how long does the case stay at NVC [ normally ] before it goes on to the consulate in the foreign country? looking at some timelines, it appears right now that its about 2 to 3 weeks. It seems that after you get the NOA2, things move a bit faster. .........anyone?

I heard it's just few days before they send it off if everything is fine with your papers or package. It's a week today that we were approved and NVC said they sent it off and I got a case # too. I guess it just depends but keep calling please Have not been able to get through NVC 603-334-0700 so I tried 202-663-1225 and they were able to give me answers. All the best!
