  1. Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!! 26 days to go.. ROman you are closer and happier. Hello Liz. Maire the reunion is getting closer and closer by the day.

I guess our consulate is open Monday, because I checked the website and the holidays they observe are July 3, and they are closed Saturday and Sunday on a regular basis... maybe Monday is another holiday for that country?

  2. Thank you Mary and the rest of you for giving me informative advice... you all have been very helpful!

My case is out of AP at NVC, and it was forwarded to the consulate on June 29, I'm just praying as I'm waiting patiently for that interview letter insha'Allah... and as far as AP goes, we both are well prepared for it... i think

  3. Usually there is a cover letter that comes with a packet and on the bottom it says if you would like to be notified of your interview date via email, write down your email or your petitioner's email. You can also email the consulate on your fiance's behalf.

As far as the interview date goes, every consulate is different. For my fiance, I believe they schedule an interview one month after they process the submitted forms. To give him time to go to one of the physicians listed by the consulate.

To be on the safe side, you should e-mail the consulate and ask of any new procedures in terms of how the interview date is issued, or any other documents needed at the time of the interview.

  4. Let's all hope that this AP goes by fast, apparently there is no way around it. I think it should just be included in the instructions of Packet 4, that after the interview you will be put into AP if you are a male lol Anyhow, insha'Allah everything will go smooth and easy. Just don't give up, I mean if they passed the interview and you know you have a clean record, you will pass the AP as well. Don't stress yourself everyone, insha'Allah this will all be just a mere memory a year from now.

  5. What I did was I wrote the full name, and USA... i forgot to put the A number and they didn't request for anything... weird huh? However, I submitted an additional letter like 2 weeks after submitting the petition including the A#, voluntarily.

ellmvl, thank you so much! so if the status is withdrawn then that will show up in the system right? You just made my morning bright seriously!

The thing is, I'm not the one that is being interviewed, it is my fiance. My concern is that the current petition for my fiance won't get revoked because of the first petition since it is withdrawn right?

  6. Here is my story...

When I filed my first i-129f petition, I had a lawyer who persisted on getting an engagement certificate, supposedly it would make the case stronger. There are no engagement certificates at my fiance's country, so he got a marriage certificate at a stationery and crossed out all the marriage parts and input engagement. It was approved by USCIS but revoked by the consulate at Islamabad, stating that the beneficiary and the petitioner (which is I) are now married. However, we were not married and that certificate wasn't even registered. It got sent back to USCIS with the reason and is now at USCIS. Our relationship fell apart, so we didn't continue with that petition. This happened a year ago. The petition was revoked in May 2008

I filed a second i-129f petition for a different person (with a different laywer) and it is approved by the USCIS and is at NVC undergoing additional processing. My question here is, will the consulate in Islamabad revoke this petition because of the first petition? My new lawyer wrote that I stated under oath i was never married to my former fiance and do not wish to pursue that petion no more as our relationship fell apart. And my new lawyer says that the petition is now dismissed.

Would the consulate of Islamabad hold up the case as well? Please let me know for those of you who are familiar with the procedures of the consulate in Islamabad or how strict they are.

My fiance knows about my former fiance and why our relationship fell apart.

For those of you who are familiar with how the consulate at Islamabad is, please help me out in giving advice, thank you
