hi there....id like to add on:
what m about to write here is the same thing i replied to her post regarding Cenomar..as per my own understanding, Cenomar is only given to those ladies who were never married..before or during the application of K-1..its not true that K-1 applicants are all single and were required to present Cenomar..like in the case of already annulled women before filing of K-1, may not be presenting their Cenomar because they were married before in the eyes of the Phil. law..in other words, she can put in her I-129 form "single" but with alias (her married name used) and the name of previous spouse and of course with strong evidence of her annulment such as the Court Decision and Finality and the most important proof--ANNOTATED Marriage Contract from NSO,,this are the exact requirements for the "formerly" married women...i think why she was asked for a cenomar was that maybe she put in her K-1 application as single and never married in the PI...if her marriage in the Phils was legal and registered at NSO, definitely, she cant deny that...moreover, there is no divorce in the PI..legally, after the annulment, she needs to endorse her court decision and finality to the local civil registrar so they in turn can endorse that to NSO so the latter can put remarks in her marriage contract that her previous marriage was already dissolved, thus she is free to remarry...
a Cenomar (certificate of No marriage) is for single ladies..never married before and during application of K-1..
a Cemar(certificate of marriage) however is for those K-3 applicants..
i hope m correct on this matter...this reply is still open for additional info i missed.
thanks and god bless

hi again...the normal and legal proceedings after u get the annulment papers from the court is that the petitioner asks the lawyer ( or she can do it by herself) to submit the court decision and finality to the Local Civil Registrar and to endorse at NSo in Manila for a copy of Annotated marriage contract...for a little background about this, its the same marriage contract u had when u got married to ur previous hubby but with remarks on the left side of stating when ur annulment was granted and its null and void with civil case number and the judge's name..definitely, after NSO manila furnish u a copy of that annotated MC, its already entered in their system that u are annulled...and thats what u need to present supposedly, and not the cenomar..cenomar is only given to ""never married"" before ladies...in ur case u were married...another thing is---how can u file for a divorce back in HK when u were married in the PI and we have no divorce here as what happyme also stated in her post to u???have u consulted a lawyer before u filed???the Phil. government wont acknowledge ur divorce coz in the first place if u married to a filipino in the phils., its annulment that ull be getting..i hope m right...its better if u call NSO and tell them ur concern,,they can best explain to u what u need to know and should do...i wish u good luck and a smooth process from this day onwards..my prayers and luck
p.s. i am also annulled..and this post is based on true experience..

hi yolly...i just would like to ask u where u got married?? in the Phils??are u a filipina or from HK? what i know is that cenomar is only issued to those who were never married ever..assuming u married in the Philippines, u need to present an annotated marriage contract, court decision and court finality that will prove ur previous marriage is null and void...did u apply as a single woman ( means never married or with no alias indicated) in ur K-1 application? if so, that maybe the reason why they are asking for ur cenomar...it mEans CERTIFICATE OF NO MARRIAGE..in my case coz m annulled too, i didnt present nor include a cenomar coz as ive said, i was married before...its only asked to those single ladies who was never married...
i hope this answers ur question...

hi guys...talking about chest xray at SLEC>..its not that i question their facilities (coz SLEC is one of the highest standard hospitals in the PI) but these are still machines capable of makin a - result to + result or v.versa..u know what i mean....what if u had undergone chest xray more than 6 months in ur province and its result is negative and never had history of pneumonia, tb or anything on the lungs....now time comes when u need to undergo another chest xray at SLEC during the medical and spotted something suspicious on the film..i mean, come on guys, sometimes machine makes mistake....question::are we, as K applicants, entitled to have another chest xray just to prove its consistency???there is even a story about this..its of different case though---cancer..she was diagnosed to have cancer and she was already like doing her last will and spending all her savings and time to make herself happy for the last time before she dies..to the extend of committing a suicide coz she cant accept she has cancer...and only to find out the machine was a total disaster....the culprit of the wrong result given to her...going back to the topic..my point is, will SLEC allow the applicant/s to undergo xray again after the first one at her own expense(PhP) just to give little consolation to the effort of the applicant to travel from her province to Manila??? if not, what could be their reason?? chest xray doesnt cost a lot...thanks....hope ur not upset why i wrote this long just to ask for one question....
always open for ur informative replies...

question please if i am allowed to ask::
how did u have the wedding dress, give aways and other wedding stuff made in the PI brought to the States?
did u bring it with u on ur flight? or did u request ur family members in the PI to send it to u via international courier??
which one is cheaper and reasonable?
thanks guys...
oh btw,,,my fiance and I decided to have the wedding at the Park in WI ( forgot the name)...wow...not very private eh??lol...seriously, we opt to have it solemnized (even without a real catholic priest coz he is a Lutheran) and to be celebrated with his family and closed friends from work...guys i cant wear white wedding gown this time around
.. i was married in the church before)..maybe a mini skirt and cute top will do...joke....
..just simple formal dress..whats more important to me is my handsome groom to complete the celebration...and id love to have my wedding give aways made from native/indigenous materials... anywae,,it will be early next year yet...

would love to know from June filers with estimated NOA2 timeline from first week to 3rd week of October....so we can compare and share later on for medical and interview...it may sound too early for a countdown but this time will still come ..its always better to be prepared and still hoping that it will earlier or sooner than what VJ timeline projects....
thanks....
-
hi june filers at CSC...may i join too???
we received the hardcopy of our NOA1 last June 22,,,thats why our VJ timeline says it will be adjudicated between Oct. 6-21...almost 4 months to think..its fluctuating though...at times it moves at an earlier date...but still hoping we will get it earlier than what its written there...
guys my question is----which one is more reliable???IGOR'S LIST OR VJ TIMELINE??? just something to talk about here...
goodluck to us all June filers...

Miss July, i dont know how long it will take to refile after the 1st denial of K1 visa... maybe someone of good heart and sincere intention will drop by and read ur post, help u and share her knowledge with regards to this query of urs...
if u withdraw now, wouldnt USEM wonder why u did it without proving first?be ready to supply a valid and honest reason... and isnt it true that once NOA is approved, applicants' names are entered in their system? in other words they will still ask u why u withdrawn ur 1st K-1 application...ASSUMING they keep old records ... i hope someone knowledgeable on this matter can answer this for u..mine was only to add info and comment on ur annulment issue coz i happen to be annulled too...but for ur ff.up queries---i honestly dont know...please bear with me..maybe we can search together at VJ Wiki to address ur concern
god bless Miss July....

miss july, hi again..i am not very aware as to how long the petition goes from date of approval of NOA2...but if u say its good for a year that means from december 2008 to december 2009...its still valid then....but u mentioned something like April 2009 earlier on.. was he ( fiance) told by them that they will send a notification?? but if u ask me, whether its expired or still extended till dec. of this year, i wouldn't quit ...i started it and i must face it,,i mean, what the heck..give it a try at least....just be totally honest and tell them ur reasons...as ive said, they may or may not allow u to pass...u might have a kind-hearted consul and will understand ur plight...u can imagine how much longer u gonna have to wait if u re-apply..but follow whatever advise the consul might tell u..its either u receive an RA for that or deny ur visa and that will be a good signal to re-file...
its all up to u dear July...follow what u find best to do...God bless u and please pray that He will ease ur worries

our NATIONAL STATISTIC OFFICE which is the number one authority about a marital status of a FILIPINO CITIZEN says that once a citizen is annuled ,the marital status is single.
just an add on info to this post...
its so true that only NSO knows if we are legally married, single , widowed or annulled since they are responsible for issuing the Secpa (security papers)..without the Secpa, its not valid..but in the case of ANNULLED person, the marital status is automatically reverted back to his/her maiden name and back to SINGLE..BUT...BUT..a supporting papers must be submitted to prove his/her singleness, that is, the annulment decree/finality and court decision and annotated marriage contract which is really a pain in the head
when u live far from Manila...need to ff up personally or pile a PLDT call card to ring the concerned office over and over again...geez
in the case of Miss July..she was married before and IT WILL ONLY BE correct to put there SINGLE if and only if she was annulled already and must have supported her I129 packet with her annulment papers...which she missed doing coz she just recently got the annulment decree...
-
hi July...ur case sounds really complicated...the word single in the I129 packet should only mean one thing---u were never married "bfore" or "during" the K1 application..and u must secure a CENOMAR (certificate of No Marriage)..on the other hand, like in my case, i put there SINGLE since there is no option to tick for ANNULED BUT we submitted the PERTINENT documents to support my singleness--1.) CTC of Annulment / Court Decision 2.) Annulment Decree/Finality 3.) Certificate of Registration from the Local Civil Registrar proving that we requested for NSO Annotated MC and under "OTHeR" NAMES USED, i put my married name ...since im in the province of Mindanao, it took me time to get the annotated MC from NSO, Manila...so we honestly expect either to receive an RFE notification for this or just bring one copy during the interview...so going back to ur process and how u did it--it sounds tricky...U SHOULD have waited for the annulment docs bfore u submitted the K-1 papers...and wouldnt the embassy wonder in case they ask for ur CENOMAR since u put single and u can't provide one??i hope they will accept ur reasons that u applied for K-1 before ur Annulment was approved....u can never tell..but still its misrepresentation in my own opinion..but just be totally honest to the pre screener and consul..they may or may not accept ...just explain..its worth a try... at least u know what went wrong...
secondly, u mentioned earlier that ur NOA2 is valid from Dec. 2008 - April 2009...we are August now...its already expired and they may have assumed that u and ur fiance arent interested to pursue...did u try calling the embassy?
good luck July...and pls. be ready with ur annulment papers should u decide to re-apply...

u always have our luck...we know sis u can make it and go for the pink!!!!!!!
dont fail to share ur interview experience with us ..it will surely be of help....

hi there...i think ur still considered a May filer although it was almost end of the month when u guys submitted the packet...most June filers' timeline from CSC says our NOA2 will be adjudicated in the month of October..
mine was submitted on June 17 and received the NOA1 on the 22nd of the same month...while urs is May 29 thats why its end of Sept....hope we get it earlier than the VJ timeline....coz we cant wait to be with our fiance/fiancee....
goodluck to us all...

HI there..this is as far as i know with regards to ur queries:
1.) NBI clearance: i dont think ull be required to secure NBI with ur a.k.a. coz as uve said, u were never married....so it should be ur current or maiden name that appears on the clearance/certificate...
2.) Other first and Middle Name USed? if u dont have any other first and middle names apart from the names ur using now..then u dont have to put anything there...just write None or N/A....normally and legally, what appears to be in ur live birth certificate is the one to be followed...
i hope im correct here..if not, my reply to this post is open for correction and/or any additional info miss "kilipit" needs....thank u

I am so happy to say before going to bed I checked USCIS online and they approved the petitions on the July 30th!!!!!! 98 days!!! I immediatly called my husband acting like I had bad news for him. He was worried, then I screamed WE GOT OUR APPROVALS HONEYYYYYY!!
He was very happy but was at work, so will talk with him again when I wake. Hopefully I'll find sleep. Thank you Lord for answered prayers and continue to be with us through the remainder of this process, In Jesus Name, Amen!!!
hi CONGRATULATIONS!
i just wonder how u were able to check ur timeline ststus at USCIS site? coz i tried bfore and all it shows was the general processing time for all kinds of visa....not specifically for my case...u see, i wanna keep track of my case like here in VJ timeline,,everyday u see its changing...maybe im way too curious thats all...

How many chatlogs needed per month for me to print out for the additional evidences needed for the USEM interview?
hi there...some say 10 , others 5 and some say 3 chat logs per month...if u ask me i think to be safe - 5 is fine...some chat logs are way too wordy/long to print which is an equivalent of 2 chat logs...remember as per advise here from those who already undergone the interview..that the chat logs shouldn't be that bulky to fit the glass that separates u and the consul with an opening of just an inch high..still the best people to answer this query of urs are those who have been to the embassy for their interview but i hope this info helps...

baka sabay pa tayo cris if we gonna base it on VJ's timeline.....hehehehehe...but mine is CSC ....but sana nga sabay ang NOA2 natin...ull never know.,,,,one thing's for sure, we will enjoy each other's company together...

Hello, vjers. Finally, my interview is over. I have waited for it the whole year. And, I'm happy to say that I nailed it. Thanks to those who wish me goodluck and who prayed for me. ^ ^
Here is my interview story:
Since the embassy was closed yesterday, July 27, 2009, the embassy was a bit crowded today. I was expecting that to happen so I went there 2 hours before my actual interview time, which is 8:30. We were asked to fall in line under immigrant visa and the guard checked our appointment letter. My mother wasn't allowed to go inside because of the big number of applicants today. I was in line for about 15-20 minutes. Afterwards, I proceeded to gate number 3 for my things to be scanned. The lady guard checked my perfume, maybe to examine it has the bomb-ability..eheheh! Then, I went to the immigrant visa section of the embassy (followed the blue signs). The guard asked me to sit down with some other people whose schedule is at 8:30. I waited for like an hour before I got my ticket number. Those who had 7:00 schedule were prioritized even though they came in late. I think that wasn't fair. After about 20 minutes, my name was called for finger scanning in window 16. We were asked to rub our hands while in line. hahaha! Like we were freezing. You have to make sure your hands are clean and not wet. I was asked to go back to the waiting area. I was called after 20-25 minutes for pre-screening at window 18. The prescreener asked me these questions:
1. What is your name?
2. When is your birthday?
3. Who is your husband?
4. How did you meet?
5. When did you meet for the first time?
6. How long did he stay on his first visit?
7. Was he/were you married before?
8. Do you have any children?
9. How old are you> I was asked to change my age in my ds230 form..because I had my bday last June.
10. How old is he?
She asked me to show some pictures, emails, chatlogs, etc. I just gave her the clear books I compiled for the interview. They were accepted as they were prepared. ^ ^ We made them fit into the window. The longest wait for me was for my final interview with the consul. I waited for than 30 minutes. Sorry, I'm not so particular with the time as I was seriously watching the numbers flashing on the board. hehe! I was finally called before 11:00 in window 28. I also had a goodlooking consul. He greeted me in tagalog and I find it awesome. hehe! I was asked to raise my right hand to swear. I was asked with so many questions about my husband. I was asked of questions I never thought I would be asked of. But, since I know my husband so well, I did not freak out.
Here are his questions (in random)
1. How long have you known your husband?
2. When did you get married?
3. When was the last time you saw him?
4. What is his job?
5. What was he doing before he becomes an air force? (means, previous job, good thing I remembered his previous company)
6. How did he become a 2nd lt? (wooooo...hahah)
7. How did you meet?
8. Where did he serve a mission?
9. How long was it?
10. How about you? where did you have your mission? Why not? Ahhhh
11. Do you have any children?
etc, etc, etc.
Then, he told me that he appreciates how I organized my stuff and even thanked me for doing so. Then, he smiled and said, my visa is approved. yeah! I was asked to proceed to window 37 to get my PINK slip. I got it and went straight to air21 and paid 205. 00 pesos. I was out of the embassy around 5 minutes before 11 am.
I asked the consul if I can have my married name in my visa or if i can have my name annotated in my visa. He was sorry that he doesn't know if that would work and he asked me to try to ask to the person in window 37. The lady told me that my visa will be in my maiden name as in the passport. hmmmm!
Anyway, it was stressful but I'm glad I made it. woohooo! Xylide and I will be traveling next week. Hope to get my visa soon.
Thanks vjers and good luck to the rest of us. God be with us always!
hi there....CONGRATULATIONS to u for bringing home a pink slip...honesty seems to be the best defense to get it...
anywae, i hope u dont mind sharing to us how u organized ur folders..id like to be complimented too by the consul by the time i have my interview...we (those still waiting for NOA2) would be more than glad to follow ur style...thanks and godbless..
once again,,CONGRATS!

to add on, we should always read whats written on the contract/ paper before we sign and if we are 100% aware that what was written there isnt true, there is no reason for us to sign bcoz it will appear like we are admitting to a crime we didnt commit... u know what i mean...
btw,,,did they furnish u a copy of that paper u signed??im curious...
thanks and god bless
about cenomar
in US Embassy and Consulate Discussion
Posted
hi there madam yolly...in our case, whether annulled or divorced, there is one common ground---WE BOTH CANT HAVE A CENOMAR any longer..coz of our previous marriage...If u try calling or applying for a cenomar, ull not be given coz ur record here in the PI appears ur married, unless u were not legally married here that will help u maintain ur singleness...what u need is ur divorce papers and ur marriage contract both unannotated and annotated that marriage was already dissolved...just try applying at NSo,,and see what they will advise u then..
good luck...dont compare urself to those who have left for states and made it through illegal means..ur still on ur way to the interview..so give ur best and have it done the right and legal way so u wont encounter any problem later on...and i think application at nso for ur concern only takes a week if ur in the PI...
god bless
