  1. thank u so much manilaidaho for ur reply..wow..i am so relieved now....coz thats what i did...wrote my maiden name down and the next box was married name...

    im not really worried about the interview coz it wouldnt be close till after 5-6 months ( i guess )..but rather worried if the USCIS returns the I129 packet for lack of proof to use my maiden name although my finality and decision were attached...which means another reason tp delay the process...i hope not...i know those two annulment requirements are great evidence already of termination of my previous marriage..ang hirap pala kung annulled...magastos na, marami pang requirements/papers....kung alam ko lang sana,,,well, it pays to be married naman bfore, at least no longer ignorant on how to deal with the husband to be...

    thank u again and god bless...pls. dont get fed up with my query next time..thanks for reading and for being around to help me

  2. hi chris_girlie...thanks for ur reply..well exactly thats what my fiance and I thought...since I am already annulled...

    but my other friend here and maybe some more annulled filipinas used their married names coz of their passport etc...i dont think mine is a big problem for as long as per advise of a friend here, must have an NBI clearance with married name coz it will be asked during the interview..like u, she also gave me some relevant info on how to go about it...

    just curious if those who already applied using maiden name encountered any problem with their K-1 application...i hope it wont be returned to us coz time for us is so precious...

    thanks and godbless...

    thanks...

  5. Yesterday my filipina wife started hiting me several times, once in the mouth just slightly off camera when she was chatting with her family back home. I swore and said "ah, what the f..." and then she would not stop swearing or hitting me. When we were going to bed she slapped my face so I slapped her back, not as hard and told her to stop because its not nice and hurts. She then hit me some more times and swore some more and now will not talk to me..

    Is this sime weird philippine custom that I never heard about? Did I break some custom by hitting back and telling her to stop?

    hi..i like to share my opinion ...maybe its her mannerism..some people are very physical, likes to touch and be touched and in her case, likes to hurt and be hurt(perhaps??) maybe she was tolerated to do it before...or no one told her that its not a nice thing to do ..she should be warned about its effect on other people...it should be stopped before it gets worse..i hope its just part of her being sweet (malambing???)i dont think so

  13. Daisy just FedEx-ed me a copy of her "Certificate of Finality" for her annulment. It is on legal size paper with the City Civil Registrar's official purple stamp. Also attached is a "Certified True Copy" of the Decision. Previously, I had planned on sending everything for the K-1 in a 9x12 envelope.

    Questions:

    1. Should I send this copy to USCIS, or make a copy to send in?

    2. Should I now send everything in a legal sized envelope?

    3. Should I copy the legal to letter size by shrinking, and then send in that?

    4. Should I send in the legal size and fold it to fit the 9x12 envelope?

    Thanks Much, Lane

  14. hello friend! i think Divorce Decree is the documents that says about the agreement of both party (married couple) to have their Divorce and those are the documents they send to the court and the Certificate of Finality is the documents containing the final decision of the court about granting the Divorce Decree they petition,anyways i have never been married before and never been Divorce i just ask my husband about it because he had his divorce before in his ex -wife.I hope i have given you a little idea about your question.Good luck to your visa journey and hope everything goes well!

    thanks friend izel for the info..i wish that everything goes well for us....

    godbless po...

  15. I am a little confused about what needs to be submitted for the I-129F.

    Do I submit the "Certificate of Finality" or the "Annulment Decree"?

    Thanks Much, Lane

    You need Annulment decree to attached in your I-129F.

    lyn

    ================================================================================

    hi there lyn..im confused because accordingly a court decision is the same as the annulment decree..

    to quote, " What comes first is the DECISION or DECREE of ANNULMENT

    Once the DECISION or DECREE is not CONTESTED by the Prosecutor's office, a CERTIFICATE OF FINALITY is then issued by the court which issued the DECISION or DECREE""

    so whats really that annulment decree u received since u already had the finality? was it from the court, civil registrar or NSO? and what does it say??i hope u dont mind...by the way my fiancee just got her finality....

    thanks

    lane

  16. What comes first is the DECISION or DECREE of ANNULMENT

    Once the DECISION or DECREE is not CONTESTED by the Prosecutor's office, a CERTIFICATE OF FINALITY is then issued by the court which issued the DECISION or DECREE

    Hence:

    A Decision or Decree is appealable which maybe reversed while a Certificate of Finality certifies that the DECISION has already been rendered and is now FINAL and EXECUTORY, meaning it can no longer be contested or can not be a subject to appeal.

    ============================================================================

    hi there jom..thanks for the reply

    i wanna know if the Certificate of Finality can serve as a proof that my fiancee can revert back her maiden name even without the NSO annotated Marriage Contract yet on hand? she will just present the MC annotation during her interview because that will take her a month or two to get it from NSO manila unless she will personally follow up that..she got the finality only last friday but in the meantime, can it ( Cert. of Finality) support the filing of our K-1 visa? we are planning to do that this week... thanks and God speed

  17. hi po...thanks for the reply..my query re: passport pic is for the filing of K-1 visa not for my passport here...i received a reply from marpheee stating that a white background US passport pic is needed for the K-1 visa filing...which im gonna have tomorrow at the studio...but i can still make use of my blue background passport pics to apply for a new passport here coz i need to renew and change name anyway...

    as u can see po, i used to be married to a filipino but recently got my annulment decision and certificate of finality to be submitted to the NSO in QC tomorrow....so i can re-marry...im just confused with the annulment decree and certificate of finality...if there is really a difference between the two??i know u were single when u filed the K-1 visa ..its ok po if u cant tell me the difference..i understand ...

    thanks and godbless to u and ur hubby

    daisy :thumbs:

  18. sis thanks for the reply...i really appreciate ur effort to share the info...i thought i needed passport size,,but its better if i have pics taken in US visa passport size with white background and also same shot but cut in 2x2 size tomorrow..

    congrats pala ha.....u made it...God bless and have a safe and happy trip to US soon

  19. hi to u all....magandang araw po...

    im a newbie here. my fiance and I will submit the pertinent papers for the K-1 visa this tuesday...but ive few questions to ask from u..if u can help me by providing me accurate info,,id gladly appreciate...thanks

    questions:::

    1.) whats the passport color background needed for the filing? white or blue? coz i had passport pics taken last month in blue background coz this is what they require at the dfa office for securing a passport..can i use it? or just take another pics with white background? and how many pieces? will i also sign at the back? (thanks for ur answer)

    2.) is the certificate of finality signed (lawyer) and sealed (court) and registered at the local registrar office enough to prove that my status is changed as well as my maiden name? my NSO annotated marriage contract will be released after a month or two..we both think that maybe the finality can serve the purpose and just present the annotated MC during the interview...

    3.) whats the difference between a Divorce Decree and the Certificate of Finality??and where and when can i secure a divorce decree??after registering at the local civil registrar??? or do i have to see again the lawyer at the hall of justice to get a decree??im confused really :wacko: ...sorry...( thanks for ur answer)

    ill mail the ff. pertinent papers to my fiance on tuesday via fedex for a faster delivery so he can send it to USCIS...they are the ff:

    a.) g-325 b.) intent to marry 3.) passport pics 4.) certificate of finality with registry number, signed and

    sealed at the local civil registrar office

    pls. help me..thanks...

    godbless

  20. My Filipina fiancee was issued an annulment decision on March 20. It is now June 1, and she still doesn't have the decree. What is the normal lag time between the decision and the decree? It is the only thing holding up my filing of the I-129F. We paid a 10,000 PHP Sheriff's fee to help expedite the process, but that hasn't seemed to help. When she questioned the lawyer on the status last week, he got annoyed.

    Thanks for any info on this, Lane
