Les Miserables.
Eh, I am not a big fan of musicals so I got pretty bored with this one.

Probably about the same as spooky and other posters here: Okay to cut in line for love, not okay to cut in line for work.
How did we cut in line? We waited in line for our turn. Just as there are other people waiting in line for their work visas.

I know that in Cambodia, it's possible to just buy a visa to live and work there. Basically, anyone who wants to move to Cambodia, can. Although Cambodia has many problems and is not an ideal place to live for many people, I do see a lot of beauty in the fact that if I couldn't get a Mongolian visa and my fiancee couldn't get an American visa, there's always Cambodia.
Cambodia's immigration policy reflects what's best for their country and society. You have the money to buy a visa, you can live there. But you can bet that if people all over the world (specially poor and unskilled) were clamoring to get into Cambodia, it would change it's laws VERY quickly. Immigration policy reflects the needs of the host country not the intending immigrant.

Total Recall.
Was pretty bad but not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Along Came A Spider.
Morgan Freeman basically owned this movie. But the rest of it was rather mediocre.

K-Pax is actually a remake of "Man facing South east" an Argentine film. I'd watched it as part of my Latin America history class.

Incredible first three acts. Climax was a let down though.

That Bond movie...wasn't that good, what's with all that hype anyways! I want to see the hobbit, anyone seen it yet?
Yeah, I thought Skyfall was like a Bollywood potboiler.
The Hobbit was o-kay. I thought it was too long and monotonous but hubby definitely enjoyed it.

I myself believe the marriage was in good faith but now I am not so sure. Moving out of the bedroom right after the GC interview? Coincidence? Well she tells me she has a place to go and I won't hear from her again. But if the card expires, that's that? What about folks who do not have the money to file or forget about it? Can they not get waivers?
"Forgetting" is not a valid excuse. You are supposed to be aware of your immigration status -- and one look at her GC will tell her that it is set to expire -- however, people have filed late and if there is a valid reason such as delay due health or emergency, then they are accepted.
As far the filing fee goes, I could be wrong but I think there is a fee waiver for that as well. However, I have no idea how often those are approved or not. It's about $500 if memory serves me right. Not an outrageous amount by any means.

It waives the ban period for those married to USC spouses but entered illegally. That's what is sounds like to me.

If she has enough documented proof that she married you in good faith (i.e. not for a green card) then she will be able to apply for a 10 year card on her own.
If her current GC expires and no ROC is filed, then her status is no longer of a resident alien and therefore, she is deportable.

Friends with Kids.
Charming, thought-provoking. Cliched rom-com ending, though.

The Dirty Picture.
On Netflix Streaming. "Bollywood biopic based on the life of Indian sex symbol Silk Smitha, whose 1980s celebrity slowly faded into a lonely and forgotten existence."
Predictable plot but fabulous acting by the lead actress. 7/10

Hi, I have a quick question and was wondering if anyone knew the answer since I am still not clear on it.
When can you apply for citizenship? By that I mean, when can you send off the papers? AFTER the "resident since" date on your greencard or is it 90days prior to that window like it was for the ROC?
For example, I have been a LPR since May 20, 2010. When can I send off my N400 papers? Will it be only on/after May 20, 2013 or can I mail the package out sometime in February (90 days before)?
Thanks !
