once again I did not know were else to post this: my wifeis getting ready to apply for her passport in the philippines which she will need for the I-130 visa process. What should she list on the passport application where it asks: reason for passport--should she check the box labeled "other" and write visa, or or should she just check the "travel" box or something else?

hmmmm requrement to get new passport including foreign surname

1.certificate from seminar CFO (but i dont get this )

2. NBI

3. birth certificate (u can get this through net then deliver http://www.census.gov.ph/

4. marriage contract

5. dfa u need to appointment throu here less wasting time ( http://dfa.gov.ph/form/app3/index.html )

note dont go in DFA if u dont get any appointment or u will be back tomorow again -.-

6. ID school , work , any valid id

7. if u dont have ID from school (old ID) u can use ir transrcipt of record

and about ur name be sure put ur name in according in ur CRI application or u gonna happen like to me wrong middle name -.-

to whom u supposed put the address as reciever ?and can i send this ds3032 like email? wat about the signature.

My husband sent our petition I-130 to Chicago lockbox on january 6, we are still waiting for NOA1 and the check is not cashed yet

Her Dad was just stationed there in the army, and he met her mom and fell in love and decided to stay there after he retired from the service and I really don't think he had any family here in the USA or he did not get along with them, She does not know anything about them, He is her Biological Dad, and she doesn't have any brother or sisters. I will ask her more about her dad, when I talk to her tomorrow.

He died and he never done anything to get her citizenship, he was married to her mom for 31 years he died 2 years ago and she is going to be 27

u still didnt met her right? but the way u tell the story looks u know her very much. anyways u cant take her in states untill u didnt see her in pinas coz counsilor gonna ask her about y u gonna take her in states but u still didnt meet her yet -.-?

i don't want to sound like i'm discouraging you, BUT nurses here cannot work in the US without at least 2 years experience... as far as i know.

this is also why hospitals here are exploiting RNs by making them pay the hospitals as interns for two years or sometimes they pay them little allowance.

Maybe it is in some states different but over here this is not true what you say. My wife is a RN and she was able to work straight after uni. Also, I cannot say that she is getting exploited when I look at her salary lol

O.o hmmmm maybe ur wife have a backgorund in states-.- or she got a job in pinas (RN already) bfore she comes in states..... coz im nursing too and my mom in law want me to take an exam in states for RN-.-

You are paying for her to complete her nursing requirements and you have never met her?

The first thing you need to do is go meet her in person and get to know who she really is.

hmmmp yah agree!!! but me, my husband sending me money bfore we met in pinas:P but u need if u want to know if shes real taking nursing gets her school and student number and copy of bills in school:P (note: my husband not doing that lol) all not girls here were bad just few some of them

Hi guys well I'm not as happy as i was thinking i will be after the interview...........

The interview went well the CO asked him basic normal questions like where did you meet? what is your wife doing in the US? what is she studying in college?when did you get married? who is gonna support you? and she asked to see the wedding pics and then she said

"Congratulations your visa is approved BUT we need some additional time so your case will be going on Admistrative Process. The process will be about 4-5months and as soon as you see case number online just drop your passport and you can pick it up the same day."

My husband asked if there is anything to worry about and the CO said that your case is perfect nothing to worry about. we just need to do some name checks.

Well after waiting soooooooooo long we have to wait more! Oh well we cant do anything right!

How long does it take the NVC to receive the approved I-130 petition?

We received the I-130 approval notice on Mar 13, 2009 but up to now, NVC hasn't received the said

petition yet.

Hey everyone:) Just a quick question. In the trip I'm planning to the Philippines, me and my fiancee at that time, are planning on "Hooking up", if you know what I mbean. Unfortunitly, one of our concerns is her getting pregnant. As this is a risk when we adults play around What can we expect should this happen? Can it actually speed up the process of fiancee visa? Can it slow the process? Thanks for all your advice and imput

DON"T get her buntis! Some stupid people do and end up with a mess. It may slow things down as the airlines won't let pregnant ladys fly after 7 months. Also bad for kids to fly until they are over 1 month. Also you may have to go thru the cost and hassel of doing a CRBA.

true:P and DNA takes 6 months so u need to wait 1 year more. so total of 2years:P. my cousin got buntis here in pinas and she delay to go states coz embassy needs DNA for proof so better to not buntis her

You can call USCIS or NVC depending where your petitions are, so you can call and ask them to correct the names. Did you check your petitions to see how your name was represented on the forms?

i just saw last night when the case number send out by nvc. it said pay this amount so they can proceed for processing the paper. thats y im worried -.-

my hsuband got my case number today and i saw that they give wrong info about my name. in US when u get married the girl gonna use the maiden middle name but in my country (philippines) we used here the surname. so it must be NAME - maiden surname - husband surname. but they put Name - my maiden middle name - husband surname.

and my passport namely pattern like this (NAME - maiden surname - husband surname).

wat im going to do.....
