I left a box of personal stuff in the Phils. and ready to be send here. I dont see any problem in sending it here. I also inquired some couriers and its too expensive. DHL would cost PhP 20K for 50 lbs for 2-3 days, UPS is a little bit higher. Well it would not cost you that much if your clothes will not weigh 50 lbs. I found the Johnny Air Cargo for $237 for 70 lbs but it will take 45 days. It dont matter as long as it will get here and it will not cost me a lot. Make some inquiries and make sure you have the right weight so you'll get the exact charges.
Wow! Mine seems like less than 5 pounds.
Then its probably cost very less... it is worth it most especially the clothes you have there have sentimental value to you.

Wow !! .......... I can't really understand the behaviour of this Filipina. she was not able to take care of her old and sick husband; and now she is trying to apply a job as a care giver? the management should not accept her because their old people is in danger; the old people in the community don't have the chance to prolong their life.

I am pretty sure he has some relatives or family back here in the US he ask help. I hope he will do that very soon before its' too late for him. I hope Karma await that lady.
He's already dead and buried by her family. When you check on the link the updates are on the dates above the website. It's very sad indeed but hopefully it will serve as lesson to many people.
I am sorry to hear about Mr. Hunt , may he rest in peace ; and for the wife , may your conscience bother you if ever you have .

Hunt widow could lose green card, get booted out from US

JANELAZE Hunt could end up losing her green card if proven that she lied to US authorities about her having a daughter when she applied for a visa and subsequently, a permanant resident status.
Bureau of Immigration director for northern Mindanao Florentino Diputado said the US government ‘‘is very strict when it comes to immigration laws.’’
He said lying to US immigration authorities about not having a child could mean serious consequences on one’s status as a green card holder.
‘‘If it can be proven that Janelaze violated their law, then there’s a chance she would be deported,’’ Diputado said.
A message posted by Mrs. Hunt on a ‘‘Yahoo Answers’’ page a year ago suggests that she denied that she had a daughter and lied to her husband, the late Thomas J. Hunt, about it apparently just to be able to go and stay in the US.
Diputado said he believed that the Hunt affair was an ‘‘isolated case.’’
‘‘Filipino women are generally very caring and loving to their husbands, be they foreigner or not,’’ said Diputado. ‘‘Filipino women are good wives.”
Diputado said there were also times when Filipino wives complained to the bureau about alleged abuses. He said there were actual cases Filipino wives who went to the immigration bureau here to complain because they were handled roughly by their expat-husbands.
The ‘‘usual reason,’’ according to Diputado, for the alleged abuses: jealousy.
He said he advised the complaining wives to press charges.
‘‘But things got patched up right away... Complaining wives normally do not come back to the office,’’ said Diputado.
But generally, expatriates here have good relationships with their Filipino wives, he said.
Perhaps the complainants are sick and tired waiting the issue to be resolve but never happened; and the complinants decided to stopped coming back to the bureau... we all know that the LAW in PI SUCKS! there are many crimes that have not resolve yet and just forgotten.

Why her husband died? because he is too old and its time, or he died because of the desease?
We only heard one side of the story...perhaps the Filipina husband while spending his time in Philippines has a mistress (while he was not sick at that time) and the Filipina wife was mad at him and desided to have a Filipino man herself and flew to the US.....however I , agree that the wife was very heartless did not take care her husband while he was so sick at that time.

Since i'm the one that buys our drinking water, i'm starting to create friendship with the owner of the convenience store in our area.
Go out and meet your husband's friends.
That would be a recipe for disaster..what if his husband friend like her and flirting with her when her husband is not around. they might develop into something... I am not judging the op but seeing one of his husband friend without her husband present is kinda odd... I heard a lot of stories about someone stealing the friend lover.

Is that the man who she hugging is her new lover? what about that Filipino guy is he also her BF? I am confused about these thing.........anyway if she only working as a care giver probably the salary is not enough for the 3 of them for her son, and for her old sick hubby. thats probably why she refused to get back her old hubby to the US. she cannot able to take care of him full time because shes busy to earn for a living.... I know that as a wife. she have responsibilities to her husband. she could have try her best to see her hubby atleast even at his last breath. also I am wondering what happened to the other Family of this old man? are they aware of what happened to him in the Philippines. if so, why they never request to bring his dead body to the US. are they heartless too!?
personally,,, I don't want to judge this woman that she is really a good or a bad person because we never heard yet her side. and remember sometimes the news is NOT 100% accurate.
