  1. Well, at least it's doing something!

I wonder what your RFE is.

Yeah, and I went through an attorney. One could only wonder. It will take them 2 to 3 days before they actually send the hardcopy and I can find out. I am happy, but discouraged at the same time.

I went through a lawyer/attorney myself. Maybe this shows they didn't do so well in May

OMG Just got a touch. I hope it's an approval that's next. This is still driving me nuts. But you guys are right at least the file is being shuffled...please please please lets wrap this up. So we can wait some more LOL

  2. WHOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!! I just got home from work was not expecting to be approved yet for atleast another week got NOA1 MAy26 2009. Just check the status of our Petition online and it says approve and letter was mailed today.....NO SLEEP FOR ME TOnight I am too happy.

    Congrats!!!

Your NOA1 date is the same as fine. What happened to mine? :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

    Congratulations Also! :)

:crying: :crying: :crying: Same here..my NOA1 date was even before...sooo frustrating looking at Igor's list and a couple of June filers were already approved..OMG OMG I'm going nuts LOL.

  3. I hope Monday comes fast. According to my timeline, my NOA2 is past the adjudication date.

Maybe yours is sitting on top of someones desk and they just happened to take the week off during approvals. Just taking a guess. Because I see no reason why yours would not get approved soon.

I sure hope next week is a better week. Let's just keep praying that they hammer out a few hundred apps on Monday. Our case haven't even got as much as a touch :( and others that got their NOA1 after us are approved already...soo frustrating.

  4. Congratulations to the May09 couples who got approved in the last 5 days (F)

The California Service Center is processing petitions like a storm and it keeps us all on the edge of our seats. Let's keep everyone in our good affirmative thoughts. A few weeks ago we all were anxious that CSC seemed too awfully quiet. And yet now, looking at the processing times at the USCIS site, they are all working on K1 petitions that have been received till May 31st, 2009. Let's keep those couples who filed at VSC in our good thoughts as well. They've been having delays, even the couples who lodged their papers in earlier than May. We're on the same journey and the best we can do is encourage each other. Pull one as we step up.

    God bless us all (F)

This is definitely exciting news. 60-90 days from date of filing would be amazing :). I sure hope it's not only the ones that have been touched that's seeing progress. Coz I'm a May filer and have not seen a touch whatsoever. But then I hear that sometimes you don't see a touch at all and just the NOA2 notice.

Either way this sure gives a lot of May filers hope that we can all be with our loved ones.

    Keep news of approvals coming!

    Dennis and Marose

  5. Anybody get "TOUCHED" Yet??

Apparently most can't even access their case online. I can't and from what I've heard from other people who have called I probably won't ever be able to. Frankly most get their NOA2's and never see a touch...hell I seen one say her's still says 'pending' or whatever and she has been in the states for a couple months and is married. LOL Nobody is even getting emails anymore...they are all just receiving their NOA2's in the mailbox.

I can see our case online although I filed with CSC. This sucks...but I guess it will be a great day when NOA2 is in my mailbox.

  6. NOA 2 Was in the mailbox when I came home for lunch today! Notice date of May 18th! I can't believe it! I was running around screaming for 10 minutes! I still can not believe I am holding it in my hands!    :wacko:

I hope everyone else in our April filers get a fast process like Nan and I got! Best of luck for all of you, I will have Nan say a few prayers for the group, because whatever she did worked!

OMG.. Congrats..was this expedited? That seems really fast! Hope this miracle happens to us also. Again congrats! 2 months that's incredible.

  7. Hello fellow VJ'ers!!

  8. I agree, blown way out of proportion. There's a reason Modern medicine exists. If this happened in the early 1900's I would be alarmed.

Not a good enough reason not to come over to the U.S. :)

The economy however is another story...that scares me.

  9. Thank you, we'll do.

I spoke to her today, we are both disappointed that I couldn't mail it today. But it's better to be safe and 100 days later get a denial. We've been waiting for almost a year now to file.

ARGGGH Why couldnt these things take less than 90 days. OR Less. :(

  10. Hello Fellow VJ'ers :)

Posted this question on the main forum, I should have posted this particular one here..

My Fiance`e has sent me a copy of her province's Regional Trial Court papers ...I guess it would be and equivalent of a Divorce Judgement for us in the States.. It is labeled DECISION and the last page where the judge would sign it's stamped with the words ORIGINAL SIGNED and the Judges name in Capital Letters.

However it's not stamped with a court seal nor signed by the judge or clerk like a certified copy we would get here in the states Local/Superior courts.

It does say the marriage is Null and Void and an order date and the civil case number..I'm assuming the court system in the Philippines is old school? Would this be OK to include in the package as legal proof that she is again able to re-marry? I believe they will require the official NSO registration documents at the interview and not during the I-129f Filing? I'm hoping someone has seen such paperwork. Or am I worrying for nothing?

On a side note our lawyer for her nullification case, says the NSO records (CENOMAR) should be updated in a few weeks because the decision just came down last month.

Anyway is the paperwork I have on hand good enough to file the I-129?

Thank you all in advance for your help and knowledge. SALAMAT :)

  11. Almost forgot.

#3. For the G-325 Form....What if I don't remember my ex-wifes Birthday or Date we were married. I only have the copy of our divorce judgment page and it does not say it on there. It's been 15 years so I can't remember anything at all with my ex-wife.

    3. Wow! I wish I could forget all that! Can you come close? They aren't going to do much checking on that and being a few days off could hardly be considered "falsification" and you do not need to provide a copy of the marriage certificate, so just do your best. Just make it your story and stick to it. :) Was it in the summer? Winter? Was it snowing when you got married? LOL

Thanks for the reply, glad I don't have to worry about the check LOL. And Your guess would be as good as mine unfortunately, I really really can't remember, I suck at remembering dates. HAHAHA.

Do you have any mutual friends? Would your mother remember? Surely someone knows this information.

My Step Mother remembered, GOD bless her. Thanks!

Would anyone else know more information regarding the court DECISION PAPERS?

    Thanks ALL!!

  12. Hello All :)

Beginning the Journey..and hope to mail the package this Friday but maybe I'll triple check it and send Monday.

This board was instrumental in deciding to just put the package together myself and skip hiring a lawyer.

    1. What if the address on my personal check is not the same as my current address? I moved and have not had a chance to get new checks printed.

    2. My Fiance`e has sent me a copy of her province's Regional Trial Court papers ...I guess it would be and equivalent of a Divorce Judgement for us in the States.. Before you mail it I'd have your fiancee get a NSO certified CENOMAR[Cerificate of no marriage] and see what it says.

    Hi Haole!

Well...our lawyer said the NSO records would be updated in a few weeks, meaning next month. Do I have to wait for

that? The case just ended last month so were pretty sure the annotation that she is single again is not there yet. I thought we needed to show the CENOMAR if and when an interview takes place and not during filing.

I thought while waiting I may as well start the filing?

    Thanks,

    dhc

Oh. Just to clarify the lawyer is the one that worked on the marriage nullification in the Philippines not an Immigration Lawyer.

    Thanks

    1. No problem. If the check is good, they are happy

    2. Good question. They need an "official" document. If this is what is typically issued as "official" you are OK. I imagine they see enough from the Phillipines to know. Maybe someone more familiar with the Phillipines can say for sure. Certified copies of divorce are not required, only that they are copies of the official document registering the divorce.
