Got biometrics done today.
We also received RFE letter today, and surprise-surprise ... it's for I-693 "Submit a properly completed and signed Form I-693...". We included I-693 with AOS and had a local CS to do the transcription. So, we are thinking what to do next.
There are many November filers that was able to submit their AOS with I-693 but still received an RFE. As I said in other post that the I-693 letter is generic, same letter even you submitted the I-693 or DS 3025. Those who just submitted the DS 3025 they will just responds it by transcriptions, since that you already submitted it, you are thinking if you will prespond by the full medical or another transcription by the CS, same questions of those who received same RFE because of the confusing words, "properly completed" but we all knew that k visa holder needs only a transcription by the CS as long as your overseas medical is valid.
I received same RFE, I responded with another transcription because I thought my I-693 was invalid because Dr. Arnold made it until I figure it out that even those who had vaccinations here and transcribe by another CS received same RFE. My EAD and AP are already approved a week after the USCIS received my respond. I will not advice you to have another transcription like what I did because we might have different reason why we receive the RFE. I am still worrying if I will receive another RFE by sending another transcription because my AOS is still pending.
If you have money for full medical examination and you want to be safe and not to worry, I think it's better to have a full medical examinations.
Good luck!

Merry Christmas November filers!!!! Good luck to us!!!!
-
Are there people here who filed for AOS between October and December this year without any I-693 and just sent DS 3025 instead?
Again: Is Dr. Arnold still active? Does he entertain people from any part of the country?
I am in Santa Monica, CA and I'd like to just fax him.
FAE
I think better to ask the November filers, recently there are many who filed with I-693 and DS 3025 got I-693 RFE.

I hope it helps, but it's your discretion if you will just send DS 3025 or I-693 transcribe by CS.
Good luck

i just received an early christmas present, got the EAD card.
Good Congrats!!!!
-
I got the AP in the mail today. Hopefully they will touch my I-485 again. Good luck to all of us here!!!!!
I had my td shot for free at the base... we just have to worry now about paying for transcribing the DS form to I-693 and finding a doctor who wont rip us offI hope everything will be fine, and the CS will not insist you to have another shot. Don't worrry after you submit your respond everything will be fine.
Had bimetricks today, at USCIS Michigan City, IN. Quick and easyGood, hoping for good result in your papers soon.
-
If my memory serves me right, there is a paper inside the visa packet stating about the seminar and CFO sticker.
Even your both Filipino, he needs to attend. Some experienced difficulties having the certificate and sticker but it depends upon the issue of relationship. In your case, I think everything will be fine.
Wishing you all the best and goodluck.

Thats pretty expensive! I called civil surgeons here designated by uscis and the cheapest one will charge me $75 to transcribed but hes 2 hrs aways from where i live... the 2 other doctors who is 1 hr away from us wants to do a full medical and wants to charge 300++!! its soo rediculous!!
Is this the RFE you received, "Submit a properly completed I-693, etc..."
The cheapest in our area is $70, but he said I need 2 more shots (and the insurance will cover it) ... so no choice, good that the insurance covered it even it was out-of-network. If not, it's useless to pay $78 per week for the insurance of my husband and I.
Too bad, many Novermber filers having difficulties in I-693. But everything will be fine soon.
Good luck!
-
I had an RFE for I-693 and we sent another transcription but I had td, MMR and pregnancy test...wow I saw the bills that paid by the insurance $304
. Then we paid $70 for transcription and not full medical examination. So if it was not paid by the insurance we might pay $374 for I-693.

Many November filers who even spent money for I-693 got their I-693 RFE... they even had their vaccinations here in US. There are November filers who even submitted both I-693 and the DS 3025 but still have I-693 RFE.
You can read this http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=233655 and other recently topics about I-693 RFE
But it's your discreation if you will just submit the DS 3025 or submit the I-693 transcribe by the CS, it seems that there are many who got their visa just DS 3025, and you can read many AOS filers who have their RFE for I-693.

I'm joining the RFE club! We submitted the I-693 completed by a civil surgeon in a sealed envelope and the DS-3025 Vaccination sheet. We also got a RFE today (Merry Christmas) with the same statement regarding the I-693!
Looks like a do-over I guess!
Ron & Hongxiang
Your the 7th Nov AOS filer... I do not know what is the problem about the I-693 issue.
-
Congrats on the approval of your EAD and AP!
Thanks. God bless
i got a bit of news, i received my AP today in the mail.Congrats!!!!!

Hello everyone!
I received an RFE notice for my Form I-693. The notice says:
"Submit a properly completed and signed Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, (Rev. 06/05/08 or later) for the applicant on Form I-485. The medical examination must be conducted by a civil surgeon who has been designated by USCIS. The medical must be issued less than one year prior to the filing date of Form I-485.
To obtain names and telephone numbers of the designated civil surgeons is your area, go online to http://www.uscis.gov/ or call USCIS’ National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283. You may need to provide your zip code. Have a pen or pencil ready to write down the list of civil surgeons in your area.
The civil surgeon must conduct the exam as directed in the instructions to Form I-693 and the Centers for Disease Control’s Technical Instructions for the Medical Examination of Aliens in the United States. Both the medical examination and the vaccination record must be completed when required. "
The thing is I submitted my Form I-693 completed by a civil surgeon in a sealed envelope as well as my DS-3025 Vaccination sheet from Manila where I undergone my medical exam.
I had my second doses of vaccines done by the hospital here in the US before I had my Form I-693 transcribed by the CS.
Other than receiving my I-693 in a seales envelope, the civil surgeon even gave me a photocopies of the transcription which I have just checked and seen pages 1, 3 and 5 of the form.
He didn't fill out section 1 and 2 of the Part 2 Medical Exam of the form. My question is does the CS has to fill out those boxes where it say,
1. Date of First Examination
2. Communicable Diseases of Public Health Significance,
even if I had my medical exam in Manila?
Do I have to go through another medical exam here conducted by the CS when I just had my medical exam from Manila few months ago? Or do I just need another I-693 transcription? How should I respond to the RFE?
Sorry for the long post, I am just really confused as of what went wrong with the I-693 I submitted for my AOS.
I hope you guys can help enlighten me. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
Hi, as I told you in other post, more than 5 Nov AOS filers received same RFE letter even we submitted the I-693 with the AOS package.
The I-693 RFE is kinda generic, those who just sent the DS 3025 they received the same RFE letter so they will responds to it with only transcritption from the CS. Since we sent our I-693 with AOS package and we received same RFE we are confused if we need a full medical or another transcritption becasue of the confusing words "properly completed", but we all know that k visa holder doesn't need a full medical examination as long as the overseas medical is valid.
I received same RFE and I responded by another transcription by the CS, my EAD and AP are already approved but my AOS is still pending... I had another vaccinations. As I told you, I cannot advise you to do the same as I did because there is a possibilty that we have different reasons why our I-693 are invalid. Sometimes I am worrying if my transcription is enough since my AOS is still pending.
I read in some post that the medical might lost if a person receive an I-693 RFE, well I am not sure about it...I tried to call the USCIS and the costumer representative told me that my I-693 "might" invalid, and I also asked him if I need a full medical and he said "no". I also asked him if there is a possiblity that my medical was lost and he said "it's possible".
If you have money to have the full medical examination better to have it than always worrying that they will accept your another I-693 or not. But full medical is expensive than having another transcription by the CS.
A week after they received my respond for I-693 RFE my EAD and AP are approved.
Good luck!

I am the immigrant, my credentials are already evaluated by credential evaluators here in US... Master credits towards master degree.
-
I had my second doses of vaccines done by the hospital here in ND before I got my Form I-693 transcribed by the CS.
So, I am really confused as of what went wrong with the I-693 I submitted with the AOS.
I will be having my biometrics next week, I am wondering do I still have to pay for biometrics fee or was it already included with the AOS fee I paid?
No you will not pay for your biometrics, I think it's already included in your AOS fee.

Hello Jobel! Says in your location, MN, where in MN do you live? I am here in North Dakota, and sure, its colddddddd in here.
I read that you got an RFE for I-693 too, did you have to undergo another medical exam?
I submitted my Form I-693 completed by a civil surgeon in a sealed envelope as well as the vaccination sheet from St. Lukes. The civil surgeon even gave me a copy of my I-693 which I have just check moments ago, pages 1, 3 and 5 of the form. He didn't fill out section 1 and 2 of the Part 2 Medical Exam too. You think he has to fill out that even if I had my medical exam in Manila?
I hope you can share some ideas about it.
Hi, I am from Inver Grove Heights... yes it's so cold here and there.
I do not know what's happening now, why mostly November filers received that kind of RFE..., they said our medical might be lost in the POE, hmmm maybe or maybe not...
I just responded by another transcription by the CS, but the CS asked me to have another vaccinations and some test but not a full medical. I paid $70 here and the insurance paid the rest.
Part I- information about me, then the vaccinations and the CS Certification.
Honestly, I cannot tell you to have your vaccination transcribe by the CS because we might have different reason why our I-693 are invalid.
Some responded with full medical exam just to be sure, but if you do it... it's very expensive.
Have a wonderful day.

Hey guys! Count me in! November filer here. Just this afternoon though, I received an RFE notice that says, submit a properly completed and signed Form I-693.
The thing is I submitted a my Form I-693 completed by a civil surgeon in a sealed envelope as well as my DS-3025 Vaccination sheet from Manila where I undergone my medical exam.
I am upset. I didnn't expect to receive an RFE as I thought I submit all the requirements for AOS.
Anyways, for those who had the same case as I do, did you have to undergo another medical exam?
Your the 6th November AOS filer who received that kind of RFE... even you sent the I-693 with your AOS package.
The USCIS letter is so generic, even who just sent the DS-3025 received same RFE letter.
In my case, I sent another I-693 transcribed by CS...maybe in my case they didn't accept my 1st I-693 because it might be invalid because Dr. Arnold made it. I cannot tell you that just do another transcription like what I did because you might have different issue why they asked you to have another I-693.
Some responded to it with full medical... I do not know why Nov filers have difficulties about the I-693, but once you submitted it everything will be fine. My AP and EA are already approved few days after I sent my responds.
Good luck!!!!
-
I am so happy because my AP and EAD are approved, so those who received an RFE like me...don't worry everything will be ok.
Good luck to us!!!!
Congrats!
Thanks....Next time for sure you will have good news for us, God bless us.
-
We have the same issue, I just responded with another transcription from the CS, I do not know in your case...now my EAD and AP are approved.
Don't worry, a few days after you response to your RFE everything will be ok. Good luck!!!

AOS November Filers, I noticed that 5 November filers (some not included in the spreadsheet) received I-693 RFE even they submitted I-693 with AOS package.
I received this mail, "Submit a properly completed and signed Form I-693..."
Those who received RFE who just sent DS 3025, did you receive same mail as those who sent the I-693?
How did you respond to your RFE? Full medical or another transcribe by the CS...
If a filer just sent Ds 3025 he/she might send the I-693 transcribe by the CS, and if a filer sent I-693 but still have an RFE it's kinda confusing because of the word... "properly completed"
Some said in some forum that those who sent I-693 with AOS package and received I-693 RFE they said that the medical might lost?
-
My wife came over on K-1 and did the whole medical check in Japan. We did what we were told we could do (even in the instructions) and just filled out certain sections of the medical form and had a public surgeon notarize the immunizations, seal it in an envelope, and send all of that in.
Today in the mail we got an RFE saying that we didn't include a full medical exam.
I am not in the mood to spend hundreds of dollars more just to do it again.
Has anyone had this happen? What should I do?
Are you a November filer? Well as of now you are the 5th Nov filer who received that RFE. I also have an I-693 RFE even we submitted I-693 with the AOS Package. They said here that our medical might lost... what a co-incident that this November that many medical records were lost....
I also received that actual letter, but that mail is generic... those who just sent the DS 3025 Nov filers received same letter. So if a filer just sent DS 3025 he/she might send just transcribe by the CS, but if a person sent I-693 with AOS package we are thinking to have the full medical examination because of the confusing words "properly completed..."
My case is already resumed but actually I still worrying because I just responded by another transcribe by CS... I saw that they touched my I-485 twice after they resumed my case but no assurance, I might receive another RFE asking for full medical exam. I responded just a transcription because I thought they rejected it because Dr. Arnold made my 1st I-693 until I figure out that many Nov filer received I-693 RFE.
When I tried to call the USCIS the costumer representative told me that I do not need a full medical exam, but that words is not an assurance better I had another full medical, than still worrying if they will accept it or not.
-
I heard that they included it as proof of relationship... I think there is nothing wrong about it.
I heard from my friend that someone was humiliated by the consul because of the big money she was receiving from her old fiance and she was denied.... This was a story of my friend who talked to that Filipina, I do not have any personal communication to that Filipina who was denied so I am not sure if it is true or not.
Personally, we didn't included any records because my husband was not able to send me any money when I was in the Phil, just medical and interview expenses, the rest was my expenses. It was my personal choice, even my husband was always offering me a support.
We brought bundles of proofs like snail mails, emails, chat, etc but they just asked me to submit only few.
Good luck!

Hello everyone! count us in.
Sent our AOS package (with I-693) on Nov. 3rd and was received Nov. 6th
Nov. 16 - rcd hard copy of NOA
Nov. 24 - rcd biometrics appt. letter
Dec. 8 - case transferred to CSC
Dec. 10 - Biometrics in Metairie, LA (local ASC ofc)
Dec. 14 - rcd hard copy of the transferred notice for I-485
had "touches" on Dec 9, 15 & 16.
Wish everyone a speedy process!
Wow, your process is fast...congrats!!!!
-
we just received our RFE letter in the mail, and it asked us 3 things for the initial evidence
1. "Submit properly completed and signed FOrm I-693, Report of Medical Examination & Vaccination Record for the applicant on form I-485. The medical exam must be conducted by a civil surgeon who has been designated by UISCIS. The medical must be issued less than one year prior to the filing date of Form I-485.
a. vaccination sheet- we had a civil surgeon from our area update my vaccinations& transcribe my vaccination records, sent the sealed envelope with all our other documents.. but they still asked for it..
(I am going to talk to my civil surgeon about this and ask for another sealed copy, hopefully they don't charge us another $160 just for the transcription!!)
b. medical exam- at POE i handed to the IO my packet from the US embassy and i know it contains my medical results from my country but I don't know why USCIS sent me an RFE for it
my options:
(I called USCIS military hotline and the woman said, to visit www.cbp.gov and maybe try and trace where my document is)
***we could do another medical exam but then aside from the fact that it's gonna be costly, I can't afford to have another x-ray.. ( i had one for the K-1 medical, then another one for military since my PPD was positive) maybe I can just show them my CD from my medical in the philippines and my recent result from DOH here in PA..
2. SUbmit a complete Federal Tax return submitted to the IRS from the petitioner/sponsor on form 1-864, affidavit of support, for the most recent tax year.
we had submitted his W-2s for 3 yrs, 2006, 2007, and 2008
he's military and he said that was the only thing he got from them.
so i dont understand either why they want federal tax returns.. we only have W-2s.. or is that the same thing.. I'm clueless about this.. as I have never filed for anything involving tax ever so bear with me on this lol
3. The petitioner's income on federal income tax return does not meet or exceed 125% (100% if military) of the poverty guidelineThe petitioner lists their current income on form I-864 as an amount to be considered as sufficient; however, no evidence has been submitted as proof of current income.
.(He was deployed 2007-2008; he was tax-free and then changed duty stations and for some reason his w-2s for year 2008 shows an adjusted annual gross income which was lower than the 125% but he earned so much more than the poverty guideline..(and i think everyone in the military knows that) HE IS STILL FIGURING THAT OUT FROM LEGAL why his supposed income was only that figure because even his superior did not understand why some information on the W-2 of 2008 (the social security wages )showed to be more than what he had earned..
with that last part, we will just send His LES since jan-december 2009. so that will take care of the evidence for current income...
so right now, this is seriously just overwhelming.. I am not sure how to handle that whole thing with the medical .. if someone has had the same experience do share what you had to do..
I really just want to be able to get thru this RFE.. and we only have 87 days starting dec.4
My husband is in the military too... along with the W2 for 2006, 2007 and 2008, I also included a copy of transcripts of his tax returns... i called IRS and requested for this... its for free they just send it to you thru the mail...
how long did you have to wait until you received the tax returns from the IRS? because we're planning on waiting for his 2009 W-2s which will come out mid-late january..and i dunno when the 2009 tax returns will get here .
You can do it, it's kinda hard but I know you can do it.I responded to my RFE just transcribe by the CS, honestly now I am kinda not sure if that is enough that's why I am still worrying.... as of now they resumed my case.
Yeah I understand, full medical cost another $, if just transcribe by CS... there is a risk. I hope the USCIS will not be generic in giving the RFE letter... look at our RFE letter, same RFE letter that just submitted the DS 3025. Even we read it many times it's kinda confusing... because we all know that k visa holder do not need a full medical examination. If we only sent the DS 3025 we will respond just the transcribe by CS. Since that we sent the I-693 even same letter we will think about getting a full medical.
You can do it...Wishing all all the best.
when did you get the rfe? and how long did it resume since they received the letter?
I think we will still wait for his 2009 W-2s since that will show a better figure, we're still figuring out what happened to his 2008 w-2s and why it showed a really low figure. So i think I will have the medical done after we get the W-2s
I received my RFE by email last Nov. 27 and received by mail last Dec 2 and sent the response by priority mail last Dec 7 (because they made a medical test) and they received it last Dec 9 and the case was resumed last Dec 10....
It says in the email " We will notify you by mail when we make decision or if we need something from you, you should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response...."
Actually, how I wish that I had the full medical so I will not worry about if they will accept it or not. On that time I just thinking that they sent me an RFE email because Dr. Arnold made my 1st I-693, only to recognize now that it's not about his service.
You can do it, have a wonderful day always
is there a possibility to get another RFE if the documents u sent in for the original RFE was wrong or lacked more stuff?
Yes I think, I saw people here with 2nd RFE.... and it's also written in the email. So it's better to accomplish it well. Good luck and wishing all the best.
OK, This is ridiculous...

I am from Minnesota and I also received same I-693 RFE, there are many November filers received same RFE even they already submitted the I-693 with AOS documents. Those who just sent the DS 3025 received same letter... so it's kinda generic. If you just sent DS 3025 you will just responds for transcription. Since that you already submitted the I-693 it's kinda confusing, whether another transcription, ask your CS to have another envelope or full medical.
I already responded to my RFE and my EAD and AP are already approved a week after the USCIS received my respond, but honestly I am still worrying if my another transcription will be enough because my AOS is still pending.
Did you sign up at USCIS.gov? You can monitor your case in that site... As of now I saw they touched my AOS 2 times after they received the respond but no idea if another transcription is already enough. So I will not advice you to get another transcription by CS because the reason of my RFE might different from yours.
I got my another transcription at Mid Way Family Clinic for $70 and I think their full medical is $150. But take note, they asked me to have another shots TD and MMR with pregnancy test and the insurance paid $304.
Good luck!
