Hi Everyone. I'm a Feb 2012 filer for my wife with the VSC. Can someone who filed with the VSC tell me what is the timeframe for interview in regards to your initial filing date and/or bio date? Thanks. I'm trying to gauge if it's a good idea to travel around Sept.

February filer will probably adjudicated sometime in December, so you won't hear anything until December anyway.

You will be perfectly fine for your vacation in September. Mine took almost 10 months (10 months -10 days from NOA date).

Btw, when USCIS starts adjudicating your folder then they decide if they want to call you for an interview.

They give you at least 5-6 weeks notice before the interview anyway.

Thanks a lot. Yes VSC has picked up a tremendous speed nowadays, especially with us, August filers.

I'm sure you will be adjudicated within this week, mine was adjudicated was on Friday, 06/01/12 & NOA letter mailed on 06/04/12 from Vermont & came to my mailbox today, 06/06/12.

Every step of the way right from the fiancee visa they have always taken their sweet time with my case! I'm hoping it all gets approved without a hitch but I must admit....it does make me uneasy to see i've been left behind (TRYGGER hasn't updated for a long time so i'm assuming he/she has been approved by now).

Sorry Kirsten, I didn't want to leave you alone. Now, I'm also on the approval side. Hopefully, you"ll be next.

I know, same here! I'm more worried about missing an RFE/interview appointment then having troubles at the border. I suppose even if we do get an interview, they can't schedule it within the week they mail the notice can they? I would hope they'd give more notice than that. Otherwise, we might miss it if we're out of the country! We're planning on going to Canada for 4 or 5 days in mid-August.

They are breezing through August pretty quickly though, already above 60% approval rate! Maybe they'll get to September by the end of June? Wishful thinking?

VSC has picked some speed recently, August 2011 approvals on VJ is now %61.

If they go like this, they will start adjudicating September filers in this month & hopefully October filers on mid-July.

If your daughter received her conditional residency concurrently with you, she can be included in your I-751 form. But you do have to pay the extra $85 biometrics fee for her. She won't get her fingerprints taken, but the bio fee is still required .

$675 total for the two of you.

Yes, engineer21 is right, you just have to fill Section 5 on 751 Form for your daughter if she is not an US-citizen & pay for her bio fee $85 but she is not going to do Bio.

Altogether; one check (in the amount of $675) & one I-751 form. Good luck !...... Btw, don't listen to USCIS Customer Service people, they do not know anything, they usually lead you in a wrong way.

There is no separate thread for Aug 2011 waiver. "Yurika and Jim" has added you to the I-751 Divorce waivers timeline. Notice from the timeline that many actually get approved without an interview. I wish you the best of luck. http://www.visajourn...e/page__st__540

You're right about that, Divorce Waivers has got different thread, it can not be compared here & she can not be listed on 2 different places. Thanks for following.

If you look at the list KIRSTENUK, TRYGGER & CINO (me) have been skipped. TRYGGER hasn't been here for a while, we really don't know what happened.

RYUKAMI has got RFE which will take additional time. CINO(me) & KIRSTENUK are supposed to be approved very soon. I know KIRSTENUK checks in all the time.

I filed for I 751 jointly in August 2011. My application was received on August 31, 2011. Recently my wife started to ask for divorce. She will start divorce proceeding in next few days. I think she might have called USCIS about my I 751. Can anyone advise me what can happen in my scenario?

First, why don't you join August 2011 filers ? Without a divorce decree, nothing is official.

You will probably get your 10 year-GC & then get divorced, so you will be fine.

Bu if your wife have called USCIS & say something like "He got married to me just to obtain a GC" then you will be called for an interview.

If you have already sent plenty primary documents to remove your ROC then you will be approved. Now August 2011 filers are %55 approval rate, your file will be adjudicated very soon.

I am just making assumptions here without knowing your details. If you give us more specifics, me or any VJ member will help you better.

the company I work for wants to offer me a contract,but they said they can't give it to me,till I have my 10 year green card,and if I can't produce it soon,they will offer it to someone else,I submitted my I-751 last November,and as you know the vsc is rather slow,is there any way I can get the uscis to look at my file sooner,

There is no such a thing like "Expedite Service", you have to wait for your turn. However, If you were a CSC filer or military applicant , you would have gotten your ROC result already.

Unfortunately, VSC is very slow, you will hear probably sometime in September 2012. Tell your employer hold on the contract until then. Good luck !......

My GC and driver license will expire on the same day. It seems like some DMV accepted the NOA and some not when it comes to renewing the DL while I-751 is being processed.

I am living in California and hope to get some advice from those who live in California and has renewed the driver license successfully. Please share your experience with us! Greatly appreciated.

I don't live in CA but you can show your expiring CA License & NOA Extension Letter (I-797C) to renew your license.

If they don't accept that document tell them they don't know anything about laws & they definitely need training / workshops.

Look at below what CA DMV says :
