Legend: 
GC-Date: The 'Resident Since' Date located on your first green card.
Sent: Date N-400 was mailed to USCIS.
Cashd: Date your check was cashed / credit card was charged by USCIS.
NOA: Receipt Notice Date Printed on your official I-797 notification.
Fprints:  Date assigned for fingerprinting (Bio-metrics). If you do your biometrics via walk-in prior to your scheduled appointment, please enter the date in bold blue.
In Line: Date you received e-notification about the start of your interview scheduling.
Int Ltr: Date you received the official letter in the mail regarding interview.
Interview: Date of your interview.
Oath: Date Oath taken.

Field Office: Your local USCIS office where you will have the N-400 interview.

I'm speculating here but I think it could be one of two things:

1. Background check taking a while to come back
2. If your field office is a busy one, they may be trying to clear a backlog or cases in front of yours before they send your case to them.  

Someone had guessed that files were technically with NBC until statuses updated to say inline but really, we have no idea as to what rhyme or reason they schedule things!  The general rule of thumb though is to sit tight and be patient!

Give it time, you're a Boston filer like me, and my interview is scheduled for later this month.  I spent almost 50 days waiting to go inline.  Then it shifted gears within a week pretty quick from inline to interview scheduled.

I can't really comment on the ticket stuff because I don't know too much about that, but the fact they ask for this stuff, even if it's just a fine to me is crazy. No wonder you forgot.  I'm pretty sure a lot of people don't even bother putting it on their applications.

Maybe it just means they received clearance back from the FBI...almost like an interim update before posting the "in line for interview" status?

 

Perhaps USCIS is now doing this kind of update because they get so many phone calls about whether or not fingerprinting has cleared...

I was about to say the same thing.  I be they've added that in as an attempt to reduce the calls they get.  I certainly wouldn't have called if my status had updated with this at one point.

Guys, I have a questions and its starting to bother me now. It is about the requirement that applicant needs to have residence for a minimum of 3 months in the district and state before applying for citizenship. Here, ill try to explain:

 

I moved to New York State in first week of Jan, Started working in First week of jan and changed my address on my credit card, bank, etc. Early feb I let USCIS know my new address but stupidly, I didnt change my Driver License till mid April. I applied for N-400 in end march. Technically I was in the state for 5 months before applying and here is what I have to prove that:

 

1. My paystubs from my job, starting first week of Jan.

2. Addition of my name to the lease (it was solely under my wife's name before that), late January

3. My credit card and debit card/bank statements, starting month of january. 

4. A letter from my employer, stating when I started working. 


Do you guys think this will be enough proof? Did I mess up by waiting to change my driver license to the new state? I am kinda freaked out :/ Am i unnecessarily worrying? Any advice will be very appreciated.

I think you're worrying too much.  You've got plenty!  Some people don't change their drivers license for months or even years because they forget or don't have the time/money to do so.

You know what happened when I told my DMV about my change of address?  They updated their system okay... but told me to stick a sticker over my address on my card with my new address, until it was time to renew my license again! 

The other information you're providing already paints a clear picture of your you move, where you live, and where you moved to and when.

If you sign up with the USPS website, they send you an email every day with scans of the mail that you're expecting.  This is great if you live in an area with iffy mail service,or if you're away for business or on vacation.

But my USPS informed digest told me my letter comes today!

Welcome!  We actually now have 2 members still active on the site that filed this month, 3 were already approved but it looks like one of them hasn't stuck around on here.  There are also a few of us who have had the interviews scheduled as of the last week but are still waiting on the letter, including myself!

That was a waste of time, they said they can't see anything other than they sent it out and I have to wait and see whenever it arrives! 

If I call USCIS now, will they know when my interview date is?  I'm going to likely get the interview letter in the next few days but we are going up to my inlaws in NH this weekend and the suspense will kill me if I see from USPS it was out for delivery while I am away.

But I think they're actually the third!  Faith38 and level3 and I'm presuming SwanX - they closed their account though.

I don't think anyone is technically a citizen until they take the oath...

I know many IOE filers who applied for N-400 in the last year had a bad experience. But now with the system fixed, IOE is better.

At this point I don't think one way is better than another.  There are too many variables and points in the process where delays and holdups can happen further down the line.  If you efile or paper file, you can still get held up at biometrics, or in line for months because your field office is backlogged up the wazoo.
