Hi, Guys
I just wonder if anybody got second bio letter due to your bad fingerprint condition.

Do you know how long it takes you to get second letter after the first bio date?

I am sure that I will have to get another one because my fingers are so dry and I use a lot of chemicals.

I know how you feel and must be going through. Please do put your time line in your signature

My Assistant > Edit Forums Signature so what we know when did you apply etc.

I went through the same painful wait and uncertainty and so does every and the folks at VSC

have wait more than CSC. But none the less, tell yourself you got 1 year and worse

it will take over 1 year etc.

If they need your 2nd biometric they will send you one. I don't remember correctly but

i think i did seen a post like this on this board.

So just sit back and relax and not worry too much, coz you can't do anything.

The ball is in USCIS court now. If it takes more 6 months since they got your application,

time to spank them with a senator inquriy or do the smart thing of call USCIS customer service

(google it) option 1,2,3.

Ask the operator to talk to an officer or immigration officer and then tell that officer that you

were thinking of calling your senator or congressman.

This is what another member did and he was approved in couple of days.

They have process your case in 6 months if they can't then they are in efficant and an inquriy

by senator or congressman will put their job in jeparady.

Just look out for your email (enable that option in your USCIS profile -- which is at USCIS

case status website) and once your status changes you will get an email.

Good Luck dear and don't worry. In the end the wait will over and you will say it was worth it

when you get the GC approval or card in hand.

I already did biometrics on July 16th. My original date was July 21th but I just walked in on July 16th.

My case status keeps showing the same screen since I checked on July 13th for the first time.

Here it is

Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

It has not been changed and I can't find my LUD. Where is my LUD located???

Then login as customer. It will show your profile. Use the link "Add a case to your portfolio". Use the biometric appointment appoint number. Once you have added

it, then go back to your profile and there youw will see the case list like this format.

LUD is Last Updated there. It should be something in July. It keeps on changes. Then it means your case is being touched.

I like to highjack this, if I may. What if someone is waiting for their letter with the bio appointment, and waiting, and waiting . . . and a couple of months later they learn that the letter was sent but never received and the appointment has passed?

Hi,

Normally the biometric comes 1 to 2 weeks after NOA. But i have seen cases on VJ where folks got it 60 days after receiving NOA.

Just to be safe if you don't get it 30-45 days after receiving NOA, then call (800) 375-5283, option 1,2,3 and ask the operator to do a service request to resend the biometric appointment letter and also check with them if they have your address correct.

What does " Touch" or "Touched" mean???

Why can you see your case online? Can you see something about your biometrics info?

Let me try to answer your questions if i understood them correctly. You want to know how does USCIS know that you have done biometric and also how can you know if they have updated your info in their systems and lastly touch.

Touch is means, someone has updated your case and your LUD (Last Updated Date) on UCSIS website case status section changes.

If you login to USCIS website case status seciton (provided you are already registered).

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp

It has something like

Select ----- Receipt Number ----- E-mail ----- Last Updated(mm/dd/yyyy)-----Form Number-----Form Title

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So if Last Updated(mm/dd/yyyy) changes from the last time you saw. it means your case has been touched.

Here's what I observed regarding biometric...

Now when you do biometric after biometric the staff member enters your info along with your finger prints and pictues to USCIS system.

So next working day another staff probably updates your info on USCIS system that you have done biometric, so in the online system your LUD changes which means some one touched your case.

Only way you can confirm is by the stamp. and the LUD on USCIS website.

I think you can file I-90 with no application fees but biometric fee due to wrong name on the card. Here's the link

Hello All:
We submitted the documents to remove conditions for my wife and step-daughter at the end of May. My wife had her biometics appointment on July 10. When we got the appointment letter, I assumed (because I had no other ideas) that the appointment was really for both my wife and step-daughter.....even though the appointment letter only included my wife's name. When we arrived for the appointment, my wife was told that only her biometrics would be taken and that my step-daughter would have to wait to get her appointment in the mail.

To me, this is a bit strange. When we first applied for AOS, my wife and step-daughter both had biometrics done at the same time.

Keep in mind that when we filed the I-751, my step-daughter was included and we paid the extra $85 for her biometrics at that time (and the receipt we got from USCIS indicates the correct fee).

Is is normal for a mother and her underage daughter to have separate biometrics appointments when applying for removing of conditions? Has anyone had this experience? Or is there a problem on which I need to follow up with USCIS?

Any help, as always, is appreciated.

Hi Mike,

Yes it is normal for I-751 applicant involving mother and daughter to have separate biometrics appointments. Since both require conditions to both removed and are separate individuals. Biometric involves finger prints and pictures then when processing becomes current they send it to FBI for background check so it has to be separate.

Like Haole asked did your step-daughter get separate NOA or not.

I would suggest to either make an infopass to inquire about the biometric appointment letter or call USCIS customer service number 1-800-375-5283 (option 1,2,3) and talk to the rep and do service request for the biometric appointment letter.

I think do the service request first and wait for 30 days if you don't get the biometric appointment then do the infopass appointment.

Normally the biometric can come in between 30-60 days after NOA (Notice of action).
