I think that is all you need, they already have everything in I-130 packet, if i recollect correctly I only sent I-129F, NOA - 1, Marriage cert and previous divorce certificate for me, nothing more, it was accepted and I got the receipt a week after that.

but i later read here that they take out the I-130 and add it to I-129F and put both in the receipt date for I-129 F, i bit my nails after reading that thinking i might have added 11 days to my initial reading date. if what i read here is correct (which i doubt) then it wouldn't have been a good idea to pull yourself back 2 months i n line. I doubt this because the processing time is 5 months for either, they cannot delay your I-130 past 5 months by putting it in-line with I-129F without any genuine reason i supposed

LOLAs I sent a I-129F and it should be delivered tomorrow but i doubt it will be accepted because i have been reading in the K3 thread and i don't see anything about just sending marriage certificate, I-129f and NOA1

well said beth, if they check into the bigamy and found nothing then you will just get his passport back with the visa, keep praying even though it is hard. The lord will take care of this situation. You can smile cuz u are not alone and u know that

it has been a while since i read APPROVED! :dance: I kinda missed that it usually gives a little buzz to those of us in waiting. I find it hard to blief that the cases will exceed by up to 8 weeks, does that imply that it will exceed 5 months? I hope it is not. K3 has an advantage since its interview is often faster than CR 1 and some people can flipped its interview for Cr1 thus regaining whatever delay that might have been incurred, or faster than it would have been for CR 1. I think d embassy ultimately makes a difference.

i can't say this any better. I wish you goodluck in your interview. Tell your story as it is and you will be glad you did. A lot of people get their visa's while others don't, they (the consulars) have their tons of reasons some of which I think is based on the presumptions that people just want to come to the embassy and lie. It is such beliefs that actually makes people lie to the consular because they are just not satisfied with the truth! they want perfection where there is none. I always believe that when you say the truth your mind is free, and God almighty will approve your visa. When the lord approve your visa no one can deny it. Thank you LOLAs and i love Nigeria too, before i went to Nigeria i had alot of story about the country but 80% of it was negative but i never let that distort the love or trust and view i had about my husband, my husband was studying in Malaysia when i met and on getting to Nigeria we lived with his parents, and i was out in the streets of Lagos and just to discover that most of the ranting, and stuffs we heard while in the states are just media propaganda, i found Nigeria and Nigerian to be lovable people, good people and God fearing people. As we drive by anytime me and hubby goes out i was never a day reading on cars, houses, shops etc stuffs like God is Good, Glory be to God, My God is ominipotent, With God all things are possible etc and i said to my hubby you know what and he said what honey, then i said America needs to learn from you guys and he said learn what and i told him about all the Godly stuffs i had been reading.

Is it really necessary to write a letter to accompany one's petition when re-applying (fresh application) for an initially approved but canceled case (cancellation requested by petitioner upon detecting document error or any other reason)?

I gave a list of questions to the USCIS director tonight and he promises me to answer all he can. Thanks for all the input as I would never have thought of all these myself. We didn't tie up to much time on questions tonight but I did ask two that have been burning a hole in my brain.

G325a TWO copies is plenty. The reason the form was changed is that USCIS has been throwing away all but two copies for some years. The OMB had printed, in his words "A gazillion" of the old form and they just dealt with it. He said there is no harm in sending four copies if it makes you feel better.

Religious Divorces Religious divorces are not generally acceptable to the USCIS or the US consulates. If you obtained a foreign "religious divorce" it should be registered or filed with civil authorities in that country to be recognized here.

I hope to hear soon from him on the other questions and I will post them as soon as he responds. He seems as interested in making this go smoothly for all concerned as we are.

Finally we are getting out real emotions. If it is any consolation, there are lots of depressed people on this site because of the same reason. A few days ago I felt like I need a therapist though I know that will not solve my problem. You can read my signature and (maybe) imagine what I have to deal with in this CR-1 petition. I think USCIS is trying but they just are not doing enough, no one should have to wait two months to re-unite with their loved ones. I think the stat is good for you right now and you should calm down, your embassy is not a problem area so you should get interview as soon as all your papers make it through NVC. That should make you smile. For some embassies the minimum wait time is two months add that to this period of mental torture.

I like it when you mention your dad mentioning the marriage ... for me the pressure is from everywhere, the family, friends are all saying stuffs like" it will end for us soon", "there is no future", "it is impossible", "what were they thinking getting married like that - wife in US, hubby i n Nigeria, what a stupid decision" like we are not dealing with enough pressure already. The only hope is that in separation like this love grows stronger and you appriciate each other better. The challenges of marriage I am sure is more than this period, so if you can deal with this then you can withstand any coming challenges.

I say this as if I have it all together, don't be fooled I am as crazy as anyone here or probably more depressed, I know all those things that I am saying but I am just not using it, only NOA 2 will do it for me.

This period will not last, we will all look back someday and this moment will be sooooooooo far away from our lives.

Hey people, I filled in late August and i guess I can say September since my NOA 1 is dated sep 01, I must say that I am just tired and frustrated with waiting. I am literarily loosing my mind maybe I should just not expect all those miraculous speedy approval, for some people it is the maximum days.

But, since i do not get a biometric appointment within 30 days of filling that means I can accept that I am not being subjected to additional background check which will probably make me go completely crazy from the waiting. it is just tough being an American with a love in abroad. Insanely tough! :crying:

that is the title of a song that my hubby and I love to listen to when we are together. i feel i should share that this website somehow does that for me at times. I had always known that determination get one through life, i must say that with USCIS and the rest of immigration story it takes more than just determination. The waiting game at times wants to make my heart stop beating not to talk of the uncertainties of the journey. The thought that someone somewhere who has no idea what I am going through as a single woman in the United States will determine whether I will ever be able to live with my loved one or not, a lot of time all these thoughts are just overwhelming. What is one to do? I just put on a smiling face while I am deeply sober inside. At times it is difficult to concentrate on anything, or how would one explain the number of times I check USCIS website and read through VJ. Though some bloggers here are mean and insensitive, it is a relieve to have some who are truly angelic. Without knowing anyone, not even their real names at times some people here find it in their heart to say some encouraging words. At times, those words are what get me through the day. While everyone here has their unique story, the truth about life is that the definition of "heartache" is unique with each person and for that person it is the worst feeling that they are experiencing though others might see it as mild when compared to theirs. This is just a piece of my heart tonite.

can anyone explain how to print the chat and telephone history from skype? the history that i can generate now does not have the skype name and logo on it and i do not think that the embassy will accept it as an evidence of ongoing relationship like that. You will need to send a copy of all the major requirements with the I129F. If you check the instruction for filing I-129F there a section that tell you what to send if you are using it as a K3 application. I am sure you know that you do not require to make another payment your fee will be waived. For me, i sent the major documents but left out the additional evidence that I had mailed with my I-130 - like pictures, e-mails, travel docs, bank accounts, e.t.c. I hope this helps.

Plus, i felt the need to file K3 also just to get him here without any further delay, but with the look of the processing time right now K3 may not be the best option. I just hope for both approval at the same time or my I-130 that way I can get the best deal. Goodluck buddy, you will back when everything is ready - "maybe together"

Essentially everything you sent with the I130 you will send with the I129F. Don't worry, not gonna tell you not to file the I129F.

We definitely are going K3. Time is most important to us right now after being turned down at our K1 interview earlier this month. We don't care about having to wait for a work permit and all that later. Just want to be together ASAP and K3 seems faster, especially in Jordan.
