Hello everyone....I just have a few questions that I have concerns about. I am about to send in I-130 packet and I want to make sure that I have everything I should include.

When writting on the back of the passport style photo, is it really necessary to write in pencil or felt tip pen?? I can understand they don't want a regular pen to press through the photo, but anyhow I wondered if they were THAT picky.

Also, thoughts on stapling or paper clip papers together? Did anyone insert two hole punches on the top of all the material (I know I'm being a bit ####### now)?

My name has changed since I got married, I now carry my husbands name. I will be including a copy of the un-expired passport with the OLD name. Also, my birth certificate, driver license and social security (both with NEW name on it). Should I have gotten a NEW passport with my new name?

Lastly, I have two letters/affidavits from family to support us. Should I include phone bills? Perhaps, emails? What about pictures? Any advice would be appreciated.

or they simply spilled coffee on your file and they needed to scan the barcode because they had to "touch" it when they cleaned it up in order to put it back in the box... or it could be and RFE.....

From what I hear they put just about EVERYONE in Egypt in AP. I think that sucks because there sure are higher fraud countries than Egypt. I am sure I will be in the same boat here soon!

Usually, you'll get a touch and an update showing your response has been received and case processing has resumed. No email or letter, though. Make sure to use a traceable method to send your response.

I sent it priority mail with delivery confirmation and it arrived on the 15th. No update yet. Any idea when to expect one?

What I need to know is once you send back your requested information for your RFE, do you get an email when they receive it?? Or do they just leave you in the dark like usual?? Thanks guys!!

I filed for I-130 on Feb 19th, Noa1 on March 3rd. April 11th I received an RFE in the mail. It was dated April 3rd. I sent back the information the very same day. Keep in mind the whole time, my status on USCIS has never changed and no updates had been made including showing I ever received an RFE in the first place. Now today, I recieved an email that says on April 8th an RFE was sent out to you requesting additional information. Can I assume this is the same RFE or a totally diffferent one??? I am really freaking out. Why would I get another RFE?? My original RFE was a request for the Arabic language copy of my marriage contract. I am sooooo confused.

I have NO IDEA. I just got an email. I haven't received anything in the mail. Funny thing is if this one is a new one, I didn't get an email for that one just snail mail. Maybe their email updates are just catching up now.

Oh Betsy, Im sorry to hear this. But you should of got the 2nd RFE if it was true. After all you got the first, I bet its still a glitch in their system, and is actually the same RFE. Have you called them since you got this email? If not, call them.

I bet its just the same one, but call instead of driving oyurself crazy over it. Let me know what happens.

the uscis system is not very accurate, many times their emails are delayed. you can assume this email is the same RFE as what you got thru snail mail.

Oh thank you God. I sure hope so. I sent them back the information they asked for the same day I received it. It arrived there on April 15th. Please, everyone pray for me that this is the same RFE.

i had my interview on march 26th and the co said my visa is approved , and kept my passport , then told me i will get my passport with the visa in two weeks , then i emailed embassy and they said AP , do they mean normal embassy processing or what?

Well it you are exactly right it has nothing to do with age. You meet people who are older who thing it's the coolest thing they have ever heard and then you have young people who judge you mercilessly. I wish I could learn to be more thick skinned and not care what my parents think. I did tell my mom that the next time my dad decides to rant to her about my "Arab" husband that I don't want to hear about it because I don't care.

I hope we hear something soon. I sent back the info from our RFE and they got it on the 15th. I hope this stupid RFE doesn't hold us up for long
