  1. real eyecatching topic. Instead of forcing everyone that was born and grew up in the us to conform to your idea of perfection, why not just go back to canada. The history of this nation and the citizens that remember and want their children to grow up like they did.

I guess my point is , why try to shove this down everyones throat. simply return where these ideals are the norm and accepted

  2. I dont know why anyone would want to delay there papers any longer than need be. we just did it the american way. was told by the bmv, that you can not just change your middle name because you feel like it. there is a legal process to do so here in the us.

some ppl had no problem, i have read other stories that ppl have gotten by until there aos interview. then they had a problem and cause delays.

    judge for yourself.

  3. ive read your posts, i follow what your saying about the discrimination. I recently quit smoking, and on the news tonight i seen a story about goverment housing ' projects' not allowing the tenants to smoke cigarettes in these dwellings! seems outrageous. I also understand that many ppl probaly have done something similiar to what you have done in your past and just never been caught. all i can tell you is life is not fair, we all can not be punished to ease one persons suffering. just play the hand your delt , and move on.

and yes , im sure PH does not want the u.s. un desireables. and can you really blame them.

  4. Sounds like you did not research this process enough before starting it. everyone feels for you, but no one is going to lie to you just to make you feel better. if you could just find another part time or full time job, and get a letter from that new job stating how much you make weekly. add that to your income you have already and you should be good to go.

    or a co sponsor.

  5. whats up, hey my fiancee now wife has been through manila embassy. he interview was pleasant but if you research manila embassy here on vj you will find some stories that you just find hard to believe. Only advice i can give you and your fiancee, is that if it is asked ( probaly will not be ) just tell the truth as you or she knows it. I would not dismiss anything and be prepared for anything.

gl. ps every one freaks out about something at this point. me included.

  6. surely your aware of computers, i would find it hard to believe that in a database somewhere in the us. there is not a record of some sort of your overstay.

like others have said , file it and see what happens. and if your a deck hand, you know that for the k1 visa you have to remain in the us for some time , and part of that time you may not be able to work .

    just somthing to think about.

  7. aside from the supposed rules, why would anyone just marrying the woman of there dreams want to test the theory, and take the chance of there loved one being out of status for even one day. also my thinking during aos, file before the i94 expires and maybe i wont have an interview! Low and behold ! no interview for us got greencard in mail months after filing. put yourself in the position of the uscis, common human behavior , ' reward those that follow the rules' think about it.

do as you wish . gl with that

  8. i understand why the consul did what he did. what if your mother gets ' pissed ' again in the near future and kicks you and your hubby out of the house. then who would pay for all these services for your kids . not to mention support your hubby and yourself. im not sure if this is the exact thinking behind the consul verdict, but maybe . gl , yes agree you need to file cr1 , although im sure they will see the result of your failed k1

  9. Ok , i will describe my night for you and tell me what you think. first i cancelled a appointment tonight so me my wife, son and brother could go to the health dept to the the h1n1 vaccine. the time was to start at 430pm. so we pull up the the courthouse at 420pm and there is a line coming out of the building and around the corner outside, we wait of course the 4 of us. when we get to the counter to check in, my brother and my son (both under 24) go right in with a ticket, me and my wife however (me 35 wife 27) were disqualified from getting this shot. we were both told that we do not meet the criteria for this vaccine. i work for directv so im in dozens of customers houses from week to week , and i just thought who else would me more qualifed. we sat outside waiting and i see older (senior citizens) being denied the shot also. I had many thoughts at this time. One was if this vaccine were at a cost. maybe 50 dollars, would all these people be here and some being turned away when they arrive. i tryed then to imagine that if were walking into a hospital or clinic and it being this way ' long lines' so im venting now. i much rather just go to a clinic at this point pay the money and get the vaccine without waiting half a day and 500 people later. really think about this, i think with the health care reform going on now, will only bring ppl out of the wood work , who are not really sick or they think there sick but not willing to spend 5 cents to find out.
