great seatle that your able to stay with your fiancee for that time, however like someone else posted the real test is when she comes here. i am self employed so if i were to stay in ph that long i would be missing out on lots of income. good luck either way. my fiancee is here with me know for a month already on k1 from ph . she has ajusted , had a couple times she was sad . which is totally natural, i think this would happen though even if i stayed with her in ph for 6 months or 2 weeks.
ning, lol

nowhereman, i agree that our reps need to work together. but whats going on is just wrong. im happy the repubs are NOT coperating. that way when this ecomony falls flat broke, were do you think the fingers are going to point. its a smart move, and why should i be concerned about everyone elses finances. i work everyday to have nice things, i pay my bills and paid off 2 vehicles. i dont want to pay someone else's mortgage! i am not the one who signed on that dotted line at the bottom of there loan apps. if things get much worse ( hard to believe) i may cash in my ira and hit the road. let everyone else pay these crazy taxes and social programs. Alot of you posters on this topic with PH profiles , is hard to believe you can find a woman in PH , most if not all are VERY conservative and VERY religious. i wonder if your telling them about your socialist views.

Gary, i agree with you. i hope to see rebeccajo statements at the end of this tax year . when instead of paying a 90 electric bill shes paying 150. but then again it wont be a big problem once they get the 'smart grid ' then obama will just control the tempature in your house from washington.
Never in my life before had i considered moving to a different country. but after going to ph several times, i really like there style. leave there people alone, the people dont expect anything and most dont want anything.
if obama gets relected i will for sure consider moving to ph.

yes , gary i think this is for a k1 , like i stated, we waited for 3 months just for transit between csc and nvc. if we would have waited for a letter from them , we would still be waiting 6 months +. call congressman and tell them you think csc sent your petition to the wrong place. or wait and burn 3 months like we did.
gl
what ever your descision
-
hello, the same thing happen to me, we waited 3 months for our k1 to go from csc to nvc. turns out they sent it to the wrong dept. get your congressman involved now, dont wait

The pizza dude is correct i think, take with a grain of salt. I have HEARD that manila consul do not accept co sponsor for k1 visa.

netsatwork, i have looked over your posts so sorry to hear this happened. like many have stated you have to put yourself in the shoes of the consul or uscis. they will take the comment she made while returning to the us, that we hope or plan to marry as a big problem. im sure the statement was made out of desparation, I just had a k1 visa approved for my fiancee im going to get her in 5 days in ph. before she got the visa, i had told myself that if she does not get the visa. that i would in fact sell all my belongings and move to her, i also have a 13 year old son. i know it would be hard. If you can not do this i would really look for a great attorney to help you, just be carefull and ask for references as there are many scammers out there.
gl luck on your journey.

I have to agree with IBOLADY, much better if this entire site is censored like in her country. the statement is foolish in its self, she asks if we have the rights that she has read and know that we are all free to express
anyone else understand this.

very reluctant to throw my thoughts on this
1. i the usc, would not allow my parents or friend to petition for my fiancee. if it came to that i would either sell off assets or get another job.
2. to marry a foreign person is not a ' right ' like many ppl think. it is a privelege , just like driving.
however, i think the 125 poverty line is not really reliable, and is more of a broad sword and encompasses alot of ppl. example would be, a policeman in california, working everyday and lots of overtime , making over a 100k a year. that exact job here in my state would not even be half that salary. but the cost of living, prices, food, fuel etc. equal out to about the same. were im at a single person can live very well on 30 k a year. in california! LOL you would have no future or posessions.
i guess if i had to have a cosponsor , i might even consider just seling what things i had here and moving abroad. come back in 2012 and avoid all these taxes comin down the pipe.
thats it.

dont worry its not a problem. the rest of us working will take on the burden of paying those taxes that he can not pay. and pay our own to boot

no offense here! this is a informative site for sure. i wish they would have mentioned the border states about the hospitals there going bust, over all the unpaid medical treatments they recieve.

THANK YOU EVERYONEE.... i feel a bit more relaxed now... i hope the feeling stays with me for another 2 weeks lol
ok payxiba, you just brought that feeling down now ....
my k1 petition got sent to the NRC (national records center) instead of NVC. It sat there without anyone knowing for over 2 months. it was not until i got in contact with my congressman office that they were able to locate it and they had to send it back to uscis, then to nvc. i know of 2 other ppl on this site that this same thing has happen too. it delayed our k1 visa in total of about 3 months.
gl
wow, OMG that IS scary
i prAY ours wont have any probs or delays... coz my boo's senator doesnt do a lot of help
we tried emailing their office in hopes for an expedite of someething and they sent us a forwarded msg about veterans..totally useless info
This happened to us , in october of 08. if you get your noa2 , and a month goes by without nvc having it. i would start to check with congressman office and tell them noone can locate your petition you need there help

I am a installer of both directv and dish. have contracted for comcast in michigan in the past also.
I think in the states , directv has the best ph programming. dish lacks ANC as of now. i have emailed them though about getting it.

a little off the question asked,
here is another. why would anyone wait so long to file for aos? we are about to have our interview for k1 in manila. i plan to file for the aos within a month of her arriving.
i guess my question is , why would anyone wait till the 90 days is almost up? is there advantages or disadvantages to this?
seems to me like a k1 filer would be eager to get this whole process behind them.

i read your post, my fiancee is from ph. i was the one that hint to her that i would like to move to ph when i turn 50 or so. I think after 10 years here in us, saving a few thousand a year for some time we could live in ph very well. quality of life there is great! only downside to usc is there are not many jobs. so i figure take care of the money part and live life carefree in ph!
like that plan or not?

Sorry to hear this. i hope you contact the ministry to maybe help you with this. this is just my opinion but right now your here illegally. no matter if you entered the country legally. also i am self employed satellite contractor, i can make my agi what ever i want. just depends if your willing to pay taxes on your expenses. for your husband to have made 35,000 and only claim a agi of 5000, is amazing. while going through this process you may want to just be aware that this is not normal.
hope you understand.

This topic is great, fox news is the fairest from both sides. i watch it every morn , and always catch hannity and oreilly. I think alot of the ppl here on vj, petitioning for fiancees over sees with exception to europe of course should be conservative minded people.
I ve been to the philippines several times ( i do not consider just going to manila the ph) go to negros , or any other small island. the people are all catholic conservative minded. In these areas of ph i dont believe a die hard liberal would survive . or be compatible with any woman here.
im sure this will lite this board up LOL.
it is what it is.
say what you will as i wont check this post again.
have fun.

call me whatever , its hard for ppl on here trying to get visa for there loved ones, while you skipped the whole process. i recognize that your trying to make it right, and yes there are some on this site now that dont meet the income requirements now to even sponsor anyone. dont know what i would do in your shoes, for sure if he has been here for some time. he has made ties or bonds and you said even file taxes, im sure when your going through the k process they will find some trace of him being here. or maybe not.
but by your reasoning, that he comes from poverty. sorry but ive traveled several places around the world. you describe a lot of countrys and millions of ppl. are we responsible for 'saving' all of them.
not to be harsh, im sure its difficult, if i were you. i m sure i think differently.

any 1099 contractor should know this. the contractor can make his agi what ever he wants it to be. depending on if he is willing to pay taxes on his expenses.
hope you understand i can not elaborate any more than that.

my father has been telling me this for years, and i believe him whole hearted.
" have you ever gotten a job from a poor person"
I live by this, and yes your right the rich guy builds a huge home, well theres roofers, construction, wiring, landscaping, maintenance. and i come in just before he moves in and put in the satellite dish.
after i make my money i could care less that guy is gonna be paying thousands a month in utilities and up keep.
think about it.

sorry to hear your situation, i have been through sort of the same. i filed a k1 2 years ago for a woman in colombia, things were great all along. then stress between us drove us apart. i can tell you that i file another k1 after that one, i did not even submit a waiver. because i withdraw the orignal one, before it was issued, or used. so really the first k1 made it to nvc but no further. i think the 2 year wait applies when the first k1 is used, or the woman comes to us , and decides to leave. in my case we did not make it that far. i did submit a letter with signature , notarized to uscis, i got an offical letter informed the petition was withdrawln.
also, my current k1 at embassy in manila now, i have never gotten any rfe's from the 6 months at uscis, or the 2 months at NVC! , hope this helps

Just finished reading all 16 pages...interesting...like day time TV
... sorry Merrillizer!.....Waiting for an update.
LOL. Yes, it is a soap opera, at my expense unfortunately. But maybe some people can also learn from it.
The final hearing is August 24th. They didnt give her at least 90 days like she was begging for, so thats good. But it was close. I am still so surprised this person insists on fighting when I have the original copy of her marriage fraud contract. Its really interesting. She must really not wanna go home to her family in Chisinau lol.
Anyway, the day before the last hearing, she went to the court again and filed for a cross petition for divorce. She is crapping herself over this annulment, and she is doing everything she can to steer it to a divorce lol. HAHAHAAHAHHAAAAAA. Frauds and cons make me laugh so much. Ya gotta admit, its funny when these people actually really start to believe they deserve something and that they are entitled to whatever they want. Its really entertaining.
You said something that caught my eye , on the end of your post.
its funny when these people actually really start to believe they deserve something and that they are entitled to whatever they want. Its really entertaining.
I believe this type thinking not only includes your wife, but most if not all of the ppl who voted obama into office. look at our lives now. it will not get better any time soon

yes i experience the the same problem, us embassy had our k1 for a month. did not hear anything, during that month i call every other day! i must have spent a hundred dollars on those pins. finally one night end of may, i called them again and i told the man that were waiting to long and that ive called so many time. he check with his supervisor and then let me schedule. before they kept telling me that the 'case not complete' or ' was not eligible' i think thats just a line to string everyone out longer than they already are. i guess maybe there trying to get as much money as possible. with the pin numbers you have to purchase.
