  3. This afternoon, i recieved a letter from the USEM and it says..

    NAME: XXXXXXXXXXXXXX(my name)

    ADDRESS: XXXXXXXXXXXXX

    XXXXXXXXXXXXX (My add)

    Dear (MY NAME:)

This is reference to your fiance(e) (K1/K3) visa case.

Your case is eligible to be scheduled for a visa interview. You may request an interview appointment date by calling the Visa Information Services at 1-909-101-7878 (from the Philippines) or 1-888-877-9888 (from the United States). There is a fee for calling the Visa Information Services. you should compile all required documents and undergo the medical examination before your interview. It is important that you must have your complete documents; otherwise, your visa application will be refused or you may be asked to return to another appointment.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Please read and follow all interview preparation instructions for fiance(e) K1/K3 visa applicants located on the Embassy's web site at http://manila.embassy.gov/wwwh3238.html. The instructions contained at the web site will inform you of the required documentation and procedures to follow prior to the interview date.

A consular officer will determine if you are qualified for a visa during the interview. However, if the officer determines that the documentation or information already provided is insufficient to establish eligibility for a visa, the officer may request the submission of additional documents or require additional information until the true facts of the case be ascertained.

When calling the Call Center to schedule your appointment or communicating with the Embassy by telephone, e-mail,letter, or fax, always refer to your name, case number and visa category as they appear below.

    Name: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (my name)

    Case Number: MNLXXXXXXXXXX

    Visa Category: K1

  4. hello VJ members!!, thought id ask about this, im kinda confused right now on what we have to do. In our 129F petition, the address of where i would be staying is in their house in Jersey, bec hes living in a base in CA that time. but now he got his own place and its outside the base now. My question is, how are we suppose to change the former address to the current one. and where is he suppose to call or send a letter to change it. is it with USCIS, NVC or the Embassy? pls take note that the packet is already sent out by the NVC to the Embassy. plus, he wanted to make sure that i could have LAX as POE instead of JFK incase i pass in the interview. what are we suppose to do!! help!! Any advice will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

  5. [if you got your MNL case number and the NOA you can go now to USEM tell to guard the you need to get a police clearance but they need letter from USEM.. Go to Window X and tell to the lady at the window that you need a letter for your JAPAN POLICE CLEARANCE. Then you can go to Jpan Embassy and submit that letter from USEM and they will give you something and you will go for finger printing at CAMP CRAME... Thats the place that you can do your finger prints only. Then comeback again to Jpan Embassy to submit your finger prints thats it. You dont need to pay anything to Japan Embassy only the finger prints at Crame.. Not high dont worry!!

Then you will have to wait 2 to 3 months...But actually it only takes 1-1/2 months to wait. God Bless

  9. Hello,

I'm so happy that I found this place. Now I can post everything that will happen to me and my future wife. We can post together and hopefully get the encouragement that we really need.

Anywas, she wants to apply for a k1 fiancee visa for me with USCIS. We just need to know one thing before we start with this. I tried to apply for a visitor visa but was denied twice. And she doesn't want to leave the U.S. So, one requirement is missing here. We have never met. But we have been corresponding for 4 years now. We have sent photos and always talked on the phone. I just wanna know if it is at all possible to apply for the k1 visa with a reasonable explanation for the lack of that requirement. Is it at all possible to start?

I believe that meeting ur fiancee in person is TOP on the list of requirements as proof of on going relationship and yes, i agree with all the replies from other VJ members aswell.. I suggest you should both meet prior filing a petition.

Documentary Proof of Having Met in Person in the Past Two Years and an Ongoing Relationship:

Use as many of these items are possible. There is no minimum,

but the more you can provide the less likely you are that you will receive an RFE.

    1. Copies of all airline boarding passes, train passes, itineraries, hotel receipts, passport stamps (make sure you can read the dates on the stamps), and other documentary evidence that you have met within the last two years. You may want to highlight or place post-it notes indicating the dates and locations on the copies (to make the adjudication easier) for the person reviewing your file.

    2. Color Photo's of you and your fiance(e) together.

    3. The following items will not typically show proof of having met in the last two years however will show proof of an ongoing relationship: Copies of phone bills, cell phone bills, emails (you can edit personal info with a marker), letters (edit personal info also), stamps on the letters (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)....

    Hope this helps..

  10. Whether you can I do not know... but you should considering the length of time it could take

    Police Certificates

Applicants Outside of Japan: Former legal residents, former illegal aliens, and Japanese citizens, should apply at the nearest Japanese Consulate. Processing time: Two to three months.

thats exactly the reason y i am so stressed out right now. anyways, ill try to visit japan embassy over here this wk and give it a try if they would allow me to even without the letter from USEM yet. Anywho, thank you for that advice. it means alot to me when someone shares what they know. Again, thank you and God bless

  11. Hello to everyone!

Iam aware now that i would need to get a Police certificate from japan embassy over here, my question is.. is it possible for me to request one right now eventhough i havent recieved the packet yet from the USEM. Im not sure how long it takes for them to process this and im afraid that i would have my interview but dont have the certificate yet bec it takes sometime before they release it.. All advice will be very much appreciated. thank you in advance.

  12. Iam a former Overseas Contract Worker where i worked in a different country before for more than 6 mos. My question is should i get a Police clearance from consulate/embassy of that country over here in the Phils? Pls help me!!

    yes!!!! checkout my timeline!!!!!

sorry to hear that. may i ask ano ba yung lacking na documents sayo? Did the CO was nice during the interview? dont worry theres this girl over here aswell that they didnt mentioned if she passed or not, she waited for few mos.. and now she in the US already. Stay positive. all is going to be well. goodluck

  13. DEDixon, we have a case number that starts with "MNL". I thought that in order for her to get her medical exam she needs an "appointment letter" showing her interview date? So this is not necessary? She can get her medical now? Can a letter from the Father saying he's allowing the kids to go be enough to replace custody papers? Thanks for your help!

Also my Fiancee doesn't speak english well, this shouldn't be a problem right? The interview can be held in tagalog?

    I appreciate everyones help!!

    :)

try checking this site, i hope this helps regarding the custody thing. Goodluck

  14. Hello, we got our noa2 and can now schedule for an interview. I'm calling the embassy in manila on Monday to get a date but in the meantime have a couple of questions.

    1. I read somewhere that my contact info is needed plus my SSN when she goes for her medical exam. Is this true? I mean, my SSN? With all of the problems with identity theft, it seems strange to me that it would be required at the medical exam.

    2. My fiancee has two kids aged 11 and 12 yrs old. The last time they saw their father was probably when the oldest was 3 yrs old. What documentation is required for proof of sole custody? I don't even think they know where he lives to get his consent.

    3. When I call to set up an interview date, I'll be looking for a date in March. I figure this gives us plenty of time for the medical exam, double check that we have all of the documents and maybe give me a little more time to get my w2's which I haven't gotten yet. If the interview is in March, will they require 2008 tax return? I can do the documents to show support now, it just won't have my taxes being up to date.

    Thanks for all the help.

Magandang araw sa lahat at salamat sa tulong po!

  15. Hi!1 Its me again.. i got another question.

From my understanding i would need to sign and make copies of forms DS-156, DS-156K, DS-157 and DS-230. for me and my kid which is under K2. My question is since i will be the one to prepare the forms for my kid. Should i sign it in behalf of my daughter in Applicants signature or should i let her sign the documents? take her to interview and have her sign it infrom of the CO aswell? help!!! thank you in advance.
