The check will be cashed tomorrow.. Ours took one business day after email notification.

Also, I noticed that our cases can now (3 business days later) be seen on the USCIS website, not that I trust what it says..

When did you receive your official hard copy of NOA?

It does seem like their mailroom must be one big cluttered mess by the randomness of how they pick which package to pick up and not doing it by when the package seems to have arrived into the mail room ......they are making me very proud of how my room looks now...

If only we could show up to the mail look for our package and tell the person in charge, "Hey, are you going to take my money or not? Now process my AOS PLEASE!!!" with a big smile of course...

I swore I wouldn't be so ####### about the AOS as I was about the K1. I lied.I majorly lied. I am pacing back and forth as the time nears that a good majority of folks are getting the green cards. In my head all I keep hearing is Green card Green card....kind of like the little engine that could.....that green card thought, keeps speeding up in anticipation and hope. All the what if's and such are driving me bonkers. One thing is for sure. If you have someone who needs to learn patience......put them through the immigration process!

I am really curious to know what type of system they have going in regards to processing our packages.

Ok, so the packages arrive at the mail room!

What does the next or first person do that takes a long time to get through all the packages.

Everybody knows that our $$$ is non-refundable, so why can the first person just open the package enter the name of person and then cash the check.

Then the next person who gets the paperwork, makes sure the package is complete or not.

To bad our AOS packages can not be submitted in person, how effective and assuring would that be for everyone, knowing that our package is their hands!

I would start pulling my hair, but don't want to take the chance of my husband leaving me for going crazy and bald!!

If you submitted your AOS during the month of march 2011 ( March 2011 Filers) you can follow other members who also submitted their AOS packet during the same month and keep track to see where everyone is at....

So, I sent our AOS package on March 28th, it was signed for on March 30th, and we haven't heard anything yet. The check hasn't even been cashed yet. Is that normal? I just remember when I did the initial petition for my wife a long time ago for her K3 visa, they cashed the check pretty much the same day it arrived. Anyway, not too nervous yet, but just wanted to see if that is normal for it to take a few days for the check to be cashed. Thanks!

I have been trying to maintain a list of march filers so everyone in this thread can see were we stand.

The first group of members refers to those who have filed with their respective date of when the package was send and when it arrived.

The second group refers to members who have received and official "Notice of Action" (NOA) stating that their package has been received.

The third group refers to members who have received appointment letters for their finger prints (BioMetrics).

Each section has a different color with its corresponding date.

Hope that helps you to know how long immigration is taking. As you can see there is still a lot of us in the first group, in which we are still waiting for official notification.

Go to the court house where you got married and ask for a certified copy!

Certified Copy of Marriage certificate means that your marriage certificate was registered/recorded with the state (in your situation Indiana)

That should be it!

I see your local office is "California".

In california, after you get married, you need to wait a few weeks for Sacramento to enter the information from your original marriage certificate into the system. Once it is entered you can go to the county offices and request a "Certified Copy" which in printed on official State of California paper.

You need to submit a "Certified Copy".

Is there a avenue by which we can provide evidence of our marriage if we must file after the 90 day period?

When you send your AOS you have to submit a copy of your marriage certificate

Right now, I am just wishing to receive an NOA1, that way my husband can put a copy in his wallet along with his visa! His 90 days were over in Dec 2010.

My husband only had the TD shot on his vaccine record and the CS did not question it.

The only people who questioned him were the nurses at our insurance provider.

This could probably explain their concern: Obviously TD is different from TDAP, they are both tetanus shot, but the TDAP also comes with the vaccine for the whooping cough, which has been attacking kids more rapidly within the past few years. The tetanus shot is only good for only a certain amount of years. Even as adults we still need to continue taking shots just like when we were kids!

The doctors were just trying to take advantage of that!

Honestly, I would like my husband to get the Tdap since there is small children in our family, but he got the regular TD shot last year in his country, and don't know the consequences of getting the other one so soon!

I sent my package on march 03 and I got NOA1 on march 28

good luck to all of us!!!

That is a lot of time to wait for a response. If immigration is so overwhelmed with applications why don't they hire more personal!!!
