Hi ras wyse, I was also at the LA office. Yes it was a 4 hour wait for such a short interview.

CONRATULATIONS to the both off us...we also got approved! :thumb:

So we were hungry. Went to get some food. It is now 12:30pm and there is about 7 people before they call us. :crazy:

Ok so we got here at about 9:30am for 10:15am appointment. Well we are still waiting to be called. It seems they are extremely backed up as there is quite a number of people before us that are still waiting also.

Waiting is not fun!

After searching and searching and searching, it seems the mystery may be solved... There was a typo on the I-485 application (the A# was wrong by one digit - it was our fault). We called USCIS and gave them the correct A# and they put in a service request so, hopefully, within 30 days her real A# will be matched up with her biometrics and they can either send it to CSC or to our local office to have an interview scheduled. We had to write-in her A# on the bio letter, but it matched up with her I-765 within 24 hours, so I know they recorded that correctly. Either way, it looks like we're going to be waiting 2-3 months more.

I just can't believe we never saw that typo for these last 4-1/2 months (since sending them). We've looked at all those applications, letters and receipt notices a thousand times.

The good thing is that you caught it.

Have you thought of going to your local immigration office and doing the correction in person?

I only suggest it because my husband had his name entered in the master list wrong. We called to get it fixed but that was not the case, until we went in person and fixed it in the entire system. The name problem was giving us problems with social security administration.

Hope everything starts moving faster now that you know the problem and it has been solved.

OMG, our appointment is just around the corner and I have yet to put together everything that we need for the interview. I am so nervous and worried that I just can get myself to prepare and get everything together.

Thanks... Two weeks from today will mark 4 months exactly from the NOA1 date. (We overnighted it 4 months ago today. ) I suppose it's still possible that there was a transfer to CSC that we never heard about, that the USCIS website isn't working correctly and that it could arrive in the mail without notice within the 4 month window, but if the local office wants an interview, I don't think it'll happen on time.

We haven't had an RFE for anything, so I can only imagine what the delay is. You never know with USCIS... Of course, we didn't get an RFE for the I-129F either and only got our approval 2 weeks short of the 5 month target. With 2 weeks left for AOS, maybe we'll get lucky this week too...

Have you tried to call and get a status update on anything. Maybe they send a letter with the next step and it was returned because of a typo error or something.

How do you find out your case has been approved over the phone, just call that 800 number on the notices? That's what I've been doing, but I just wanted to see if there was a different number. The 800 number I keep calling just has an automated voice that reads the online case status aloud. I'm getting impatient.

I'm sure it offers other options. Try the other options until you can get someone on the phone.

Uhmmm I think you guys have k1 visas? Coz,i think im the only who here getting petitioned througjh marriage with a usc..i sent my packe june 1, msc received them last june 7. I received noticesl dated june 13 but until now havent received any biometrics letter yet. Im kinda, worried thinking something might have gone,wrong..

All k1 visas are based on the fact that you are going to marry a usc within 90 days of coming to the US, so not so different from yours............

Hi Fellow March Filers, I need your help! I'm worried about my Change of Status & working permit papers. It's been 3 months now (March 21, 2011 filled) still no Biometrics Appointment Letter. I already received the receipt and the transfer letter that its in California already. But no biometrics letter appointment until now. What shall I do now? As mentioned before, Go to your local "Application Support Center" (you can find it here https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=ASC) and see if they will take your fingerprints

and/or

Make an infopass at your local immigration office and tell them what is going.
